"Walk to the lake"
I thought this was a great place. The staff were very friendly. It was so close to the lake you could walk. Also close to the casinos and ski resorts.
"It did the job"
I was travelling on my own for an extra weeks snowboarding at short notice. The hotel was reasonably priced. The hotel is a short walk away from the Casino's and the Gondola to Heavenly Ski Resort. They are very nice here. The condition of the rooms is decent but not new or fancy. I believe the TP was single-ply. -.-
"Ok, but needs work"
The location is good. It's walking distance to the tall buildings at Stateline. The old place is about ready for a rip-out and re-do though. The heating unit was loud. The shower flooded the bathroom floor. The walls had very poor drywall repairs and needed a lot more work. The price of the room is good, however. You get what you pay for.

the room was a bit small but the bathroom was VERY CLEAN! you cannot beat the value and location. you can almost walk to the casino, definitely walkable if not during the winter.

"The Green Lantern, just 2 minute walk to Harvey's"
The room looked clean but smelled like carpet cleaner and mens locker room. Perfect for a cheap place for the boys. I don't recommend it for the wife or a date. So close stateline.

There being no heat in the bathroom and cold air from the bathroom window, the bathroom was uncomfortably cold even in a hot bath. all was great other than that.

"Quiet, comfortable & convenient"
The manager of this hotel was BY FAR the most generous of any I've ever met. I visited Tahoe with friends to attend a concert for the night. I returned pretty drunk & fell on my ... & there he was, he helped me up, insured I was ok & went about his business. I was very suprised considering it was pretty late. The owner found my snowboard bag that I forgot under the bed and when I asked him about it on my next stay, a year later... He had it! Awesome place
"Green Lantern, South Lake Taho - close to Gondola"
The hotel had a great price and is in walking distance to the Gondola for the ski slopes, Restaurants, shopping mall, movie theater, etc. It is very basic, but clean.

This hotel might be close to the casinos, but trust me... my non-smoking room reeked of smoke, the blanket had cigarette holes in it, the carpet should be burned it's so old and ragged and there were cobwebs on the ceilings... but worst of all, when I pulled the blankets up to my chin and flipped on the television to try to sleep, a nickel sized spider […] crawled across my chest... "Great price and, location to casino's & beach,"
Greatly disappointed in the room due to peeling paint in bathroom plus dirty walls that badly needed painting in bath/bedroom plus flooring that was in need of replacement. Too bad because it would be a great place to stay due to location. Just felt it wasn't sanitary staying there.

I requested a first floor king. I got a first floor queen and stuck in the handicap room, which is NEXT to the ICE MACHINE! Horrible noise, especially after a concert. So loud. It served its purpose of a cheap room, close to the venue. BUT, you do get what you pay for!

"Exactly what I expected"
This motel was a FABULOUS price, so I went expecting very little and got exactly that. The pool was closed and I had to practically beg to get a beach pass, there were cobwebs in every corner and all around the window, and the chair in the corner was broken. "Tahoe Motel really low in standards for that area"
Paint falling down from walls, wall color might have been white 20years ago, dirty carpets, electrical wires in walls making so much noise I thought the whole place will blow up; spiders in bathtub, toilet paper in bathroom ripped like someone just have used it (is it that hard to put new unused roll??). I have stayed in many motels in that area (close […] to casinos) but this one was the worst. Now I know it is not worth it to save 10 dollars over prices of neighboring joints. motel was very 70S. the only reason i choose this location was for the spa tub in our room which was very nice. bed was confortable ... although this is a very quiet area, people walking above and walking up and down the stairs were very load. seemed to seattle down about 11 pm..

The location is great, the parking plentiful and the staff and owners are great. The Motel itself is old, and as such had many problems. The bathroom had holes and mold with an old and small bathroom stall. The bedroom itself had lots of pincher bug insects and at least one rodent that I saw. They do have a compliementary breakfast but it only consisted […] of cereal, a muffin or danish roll, and orange juice or coffee. The swimming pool is closed (they say) for the season, but the hot tub is in service, although the first night, I gave up on it because it was turned off and to warm up that much water would take a long time. It did function wonderfully the next night. :) Overall, the motel has a warm feeling, but I know some people wouldn't like having to share the room with bugs or rodents. The motel manager was extremely nice, personable, and accommodating. The motel location was very convenient. It is within easy walking distance to the casinos, restaurants, and shopping. I did not use my car during my stay because all of my destinations were nearby. The neighborhood contains mainly motels. I downgraded the surrounding neighborhood […] only because a large construction project (convention center) one street over was on hold due to lack of funding, and a nearby motel, also one street over, was fenced off and closed for nonpayment of local fees. The downgrade is no fault of the Green Lantern Motel. The overall condition of the Green Lantern Motel was very satisfactory. The room was very clean and contained all necessary amenities. I downgraded the condition because the towels were very worn and several items of trash were on the ground near the entrance to my room and remained there throughout my stay. Green Lantern Motel was a pleasant expierience. Rustic Tahoe look outside, very clean inside. Great location in S. Lake Tahoe Ca. About a 5 minute walk to the casino core. Only small problem was a broken chain on the plunger inside toilet tank. Easely fixed. I frequently go up to Tahoe and would stay there agine. My wife feels the same way.
