Old hotel...room smelled...carpet dirty

We stayed here a few times. The hotel is clean and the price was great.

The hotel was staff was friendly & helpful, the room was easy to find and had no problems. There were no suprises and it was very quiet around there. There was a restaurant in walking distance and we felt safe during our stay. I would definately be staying again in the near future and recommend.

Ask for a Non-smoking room. Our rooms smelled really bad of smoke. Most of the room was old and outdated. The breakfast, which was free, consisted of old, stale donuts. Had some cereal but NO milk. Juice was out, no napkins, room was a mess.

Our comforters looked like they hadn't been washed in weeks. They smelled like bad body odor. The blankets and curtains had cigarette burns in them. The room smelled like smoke even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The shower curtains were really dirty also. Would not recommend to people with kids.

I bought two rooms for my band. We researved non-smoking but only gave us smoking. Small rooms with beds right next to each other. But the real problem was the Bed Bugs!! Each rooms had them. I didnt notice till the next day when I saw the bits. But the other room was infested.

I prepaid for the room for a week with the kitchenette option, it was clean, had hot breakfast, guest laundry, a workout center (no AC), and a really small pool (5 feet in the deep end). I did not have any issues with the adult club down the road, as others have said. I liked the town, people were frendly, and it was close enough to Galveston and Houston […] without having to pay more for the hotel. Only bad thing was I saw a few roaches. but hey I'm sure people live at this hotel on a regular basis which is where they probably come from. Lisätietoja

We enjoyed our stay at Howard Johnson. It was very clean and quiet. The room was very clean and comfortable. We'd definitely stay again.

When we first arrived in our room the smell was horrible. The room was half cleaned. I noticed a drawer full of beer cans in one drawer as I was putting up my clothes and when I called the office to let them know about it and asked for a extra trash bag to get beer cans out of the drawer they told me to come and get them everyone was busy. It took 3 […] hours to cook my food on the stove that was not getting hot at all. There was mold all around the room. I will never come to this dump again. Was happy to get out of this old building. The hotel was not prepared for our stay. We reserved a non-smoking double bed the first time, got a smoking king, the second time was supposed to be a non-smoking double that someone had done alot of smoking, and finally the last room was correct.

The facility was clean and in great shape. Didnt like the layout of the rooms interior, and the beds were doubles instead of queens. The people staying there were a little on the rough side, alot of drinking and hanging out outside the rooms and in the courtyard. In fact on our second night the police knocked on our door at 3am looking for someone. […] If I was by myself I might stay again because of the price, but not a family friendly place. Lisätietoja

They had a wonderful hot breakfast each morning. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. We were pleasantly surprised. This hotel is just on the outskirts of town but not far from all the fun stuff to do.

For the low cost rates, we were amazed! Quality staff, quality room. We will recommend to our friends, and willmost certainly stay at this facility again when we return to the area. Thank You, The Wood's from Arizona

The room had a funny smell. It needed a DEEP cleaning of baseboards and around toilet. Walls were dirty and needed to be scrubbed down or painted. Mattress had a bad dip in it and needed to be replaced. I would have preferred to pay more somewhere else.

Es un motel limpio y económico, la alberca esta muy agradable, el área de desayuno es un poco pequeña pero esta rico, el hotel se encuentra un poco escondido. Los viajeros mexicanos deben tomar en cuenta que los Howard Johnson de USA son de menor calidad que los Howard Johnson de México.
