Estalagem Muchaxo Hotel - Cascais

After having read all these ratings on hotels.com, the hotel was pretty much what I expected. No surprises. It was ok for what we were looking for: a few days relaxing at the beach and away from it all. The beach is not great for swimming or sunbathing though, very windy. But lots of windsurfing and other activity, which was nice to watch from the comfort […] of our own room - with a sea view. The sea view was exactly as stunning as in the photos on hotels.com. The windows were dirty from salt water but you can always open the windows if you want... Cleaning ladies were nice and did a good job. Breakfast is nothing to speak of, we brought food over from Cascais by taxi and bus. This hotel was quite ok, I would recommend it, but read all the critics first! First of all, it's not a 5 star hotel at all (3 star at most) there are ants in the room NO ref in the room. NO internet access in the room. Crazy noise from air condition unit outside at 11PM for few hours.

I loved the hotel . it was my first time in Portugal and the folks at the hotel made my stay great

Had a wonderful 2 week stay at this hotel. The staff are the friendliest people and the accomodation is very clean and comfortable. The hotel is being upgraded and there is obviously money being invested into upgrading it overall. Other bad reviews should be ignored as the location is very accessible by either car or a reliable 2 buses every hour into […] Cascais. The hotel is very clean, some bits are a little tired but there is no lack of cleaning or effort, and as time goes on it's clear that all rooms will be upgraded. Overall, a brilliant stay. Hotellet er opdelt i en højre og venstre fløj. højre fløj er ikke blevet renoveret og bære præg af slidtage. Vi byttede værelse til venstre fløj og her steg hotellet standard med flere længder. Vi boede i rum 17 bedste udsigt med 2 vinduer ud over havet. Kæmpe flot udsigt. Vi var rigtig glade for at bo på hotellet og så er der ikke langt ind til byen […] Cascais og Sintra den anden vej. Hotellet har en historie der går langt tilbage. I 1927 besøgte Walt Disney hotellet og af andre berømtheder kan nævnes - Dronning Margrethe og Henrik - Leslie Howard - Olaf Palme - Ingrid Bergman & Eva "Evita" Peron. Et romantisk hotel, kan anbefales. Der var dog ikke internet på værelset som der stod, men på fælles areal. Det gik også fint men et par Hot Spot ville hjælpe. Algo importante es saber que estalagem es hostal. Está situado a pie de la playa, desde la habitación por el gran ventanal se ve el mar y son unas vistas preciosas. La recepción y el restaurante esta muy bonito y cuando nosotros fuimos estaban haciendo reformas, así que me imagino que para veranito este mejor, pero las habitaciones son anticuadas y […] con mal aspecto, xo por lo menos están limpias. La atención muy buena La situación es lejos del pueblo, por lo que te hace falta el coche para todo, pero por las vistas lo merece. Lisätietoja

vor ca. 2 wochen haben wir 3 nächte im muchaxo zugebracht. gebucht hatten wir für 10 nächte, da der mitlerweile einzige vorteil des hotels, die direkte lage am strand ist - wenn man vorhat zu surfen. es war aber nicht zum aushalten - dunkle rezeption und gänge - die gesamte decke im badezimmer kam während eines sturms herunter - teilweise kaputtes interieur […] im chic der 70-er jahre - Hotelzimmer, wenn man sie so nennen möchte, hatten etwas höhlenartiges - das personal war letargisch bis ignorant, einzige ausnahme der poolboy - ein muffiger feuchter geruch herrschte im ganzen gebäude - das frühstück war genießbar, gerade noch so - der pool war über ein paar rutschige stufen erreichbar, vorsicht geboten Schade, dass dieses gebäude so vor sich hinrottet, woher die 3 sterne kommen, ist uns ein rätsel eigentlich müßte man geld bekommen, damit man dort übernachtet, es grenzt schon fast an eine frechheit - Lisätietoja

nous avons bcq apprécié le personnel de l'hotel à chaque question ils essaient de vous aider ! la propreté de la chambre était correcte. la tv ne fonctionnait pas mais cela n'était pas genant pour nous. il n'y a pas de telephone dans les chambres. il y a un ordinateur et internet que l'on peut utiliser gratuitement. Le petit déjeuner continental était […] bien agréable surtout face à l'océan... cet hotel est un peu éloigné de cascais mais on peut prendre un taxi à deux cela revient au meme prix que le bus qui s'arrete tot le soir. nous avons donc passer un bon séjour dans cet estalagem. Нам там очень понравилось, океан, кактусы, серфингисты и песок делают это место особенным. Кажется, что серфингом там занимаются в любую погоду, комната у нас была стандартная, но довольно большая, а к ней в придачу балкон нестандартно больших размеров, который выходил на пляж и океан. Завтраки нам тоже понравились, если мы будем еще в Португалии то […] я бы хотела вернутся в этот отель. Lisätietoja

Nada más llegar, cuando subimos a la habitación (sin ascensor) fue espantoso, olía horriblemente a humedad. Todo en enmoquetado y viejísimo. Abrimos ventanas, pero nada. Era un olor insoportable. Se lo comunicamos a la chica de recepción, que fue bastante agradable, y nos dieron un desinfectante perfumado, igual o peor, muy intenso. La TV no funcionaba, […] nos saltaron chispas al conectar el enchufe, los interruptores de la luz tampoco iban bien. Me picó algo durante la noche (arañas, pulgas,... no lo sé) tengo unos 14 picotazos, casi todos en la cara. Estoy con una crema y antiestaminicos. Al día siguiente intentaron arreglar la tv, pero es que no estaba bien ni la antena. Nos cambiaron finalmente de habitación. Al otro ala, todo viejo, pero sin olor, sin bichos, con tv... Es un lujo de ubicación, en la playa, pero necesita una reforma brutal, y en un sitio con tantísima humedad, no debería decorarse con moqueta, encabezados entelados, y cosas así... Podría estar muy bien, pero deja mucho que desear. Ellos no nos han tratado mal, pero esa habitación (o las que haya similares) no se la deberían dar a nadie mientras no la reformen. Lisätietoja

Til den prisen jeg betalte for rommet (3 dager) hadde jeg ventet noe mer. På bildet ser det ikke så verst ut, på avstand. Men kommer man nærmere ser man at det er dårlig vedlikeholdt både ut- og innvendig. Rommet var trekkfullt, og når det regnet ute, trakk vann inn gjennom sprekker i vinduet. le classement 3 étoiles est totalement injustifié ! La propreté de la chambre était plus que douteuse et il en émanait un relent d'égout tres désagréable. le jus d'orange était a base de poudre synthétique et le petit dej pas terrible. De plus, chose extraordinaire, impossible de réserver par telephone, soi disant hotel complet, par contre, c était […] faisable par internet. Bref, un hotel à oublier Lisätietoja
