Santa Rosa, Sonoma County’s largest city, is home to The Charles M. Schulz Museum, which showcases a replica of Schulz’s Santa Rosa studio and “Peanuts” comics. Downtown, a bronze statue of Charlie Brown and Snoopy greets visitors to Historic Railroad Square, which offers a museum, shops, and restaurants. Nearby, the former home and gardens of horticulturist Luther Burbank are open for tours.

Nice clean hotel, convenient location for Russian river trips
Sandman is my favorite place to stay in Santa Rosa! Its clean, quiet and close to the highway.

Very comfortable and convenient. Rooms are large and well equipped. Easy to get downtown without getting on the freeway.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. While this is not a 4 star hotel, it is still nice, clean, and in a decent neighborhood. Not only would we stay there again, I am making reservations for our next visit to Santa Rosa already. :)
"A real find"
This hotel was great - it's not luxurious, but it is clean, clean, clean. The pool and hot tub were wonderful - they even provide pool towels - lots of big white fluffy ones. It's quiet, near grocery stores and restaurants, and easy to get to from the freeway. The price was right too. A real find in the Santa Rosa area.

The room was very nice, clean, comfortable, with an amazing shower. The room was clean and wasn't outdated, except for the TV, but hey its a hotel. I highly recommend this place, easy access to freeway, restaurants and shopping.

Very comfortable room. Enjoyed the free breakfast and the nice little gym! Amenities such as free secure wifi, mini fridge and microwave was very nice!! We will return to the Sandman Inn when staying in area again!

All OK but need a bigger breakfast room. Felt obliged to take food to my room so others could sit down. But eating in my room--on such a bright sunny day--wasn't particularly pleasant. Glad to be near Trader Joe's.
I was there for a "night out with the girls", which included my daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter and my sister. The room was very comfortable even with that many people in it. We really enjoyed the heated pool and especially the hot tub. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It was very clean and pleasant in every way. We could not hear any noice from the freeway. The only negative was the way you had to go right and then make a u-turn to get out of the parking lot and back onto the road and to the freeway. "Economical and a decent place to spend the night"
For the price, which includes a continental breakfast and free wireless internet, it was a good deal for a one-night stay. The room, though small, had a firm bed and good-size refrigerator and microwave. The walls could be better sound-proofed as I could hear talking in the next room and the TV on until 1:00 AM.
Our room was very clean and comfortable. Nice heated pool and spa. The breakfast was above average for a motel of this type. Both the desk and breakfast room attendants were very friendly and helpful.

We needed a motel close to Sutter Hospital and chose the Sandman Inn and were very impressed. The rooms are quiet and the beds are very comfortable. Freeway access is easy and there is a restaurant right next door. The motel grounds are well kept as well. Overall, I highly recommend this motel.

I was very happy with the quality of this hotel for the price. I was especially happy that the hot tub was hot and the pool was warm too...nothing like going for a dip in mid-december! "Best budget option in Santa Rosa"
A date and I ended up here waiting to check in at our b&b the next day. It wasnt skeezy, everything was clean, bed was decent, totally the way to go unless youre looking to spend 150+ a night.

This was the second time we stayed at the Sandman. We were very impressed with the price, the location and the cleanliness and location of the Sandman. We recommend it for anyone traveling through or staying in Santa Rosa.

"just a note"
Everything was real nice and clean. The breakfast boy could be a little more friendlier, he would get more tips. Didnt say anything when you walked in and little help. Should wipe down tables when customers leave, readying for the next group. Seems to be nice person, just needs to be a little more outgoing.

Older motel- showed wear and tear. The area was quiet and the bed was comfortable. For the price it was okay. I would stay there again.
"Affordable yet nice"
The Sandman was a bit of old and a bit of new. It is an older style two story similar to a Travel Lodge or Motel 6, but the interior of our room was very updated and the beds were very comfy. "6 out of 7 nights great..."
The hotel was very clean and quaint! Loved the breakfast room in the morning and enjoyed the jacuzzi as well after breakfast! The only negative I feel is that they do allow dogs and the last night I was there the dog next door barked all night and kept me up. I think that the location is good, close to shopping and Carrows is a nearby restaurant with […] a good menu to boot. "For the Price, it is Worth it"
It is not a super nice place, but it is safe and comfortable enough for the price. I had to stay there for a wedding when the other places around were double the cost. The breakfast the next morning is fairly good.

What a find! For a very reasonable price we had nice accommodations; big towels! nice soap and shampoo! far enough off highway 101 to be quiet! Staff was very friendly and helpful. This place is also pet friendly with a pet charge for the duration of your stay not per night! Highly recommended.

"Simple and clean, at a moderate price"
We had difficulty finding a room for one night, for this particular weekend, as I was add ending my 30 year high school reunion in Petaluma. After reading quality reviews, by others, about this motel, I decided to go ahead and book a room. My husband and I were quite pleased with this simple and clean motel. "Sandman inn"
The hotel was very clean and cozy. I also liked the pool and spa. However, the staff there was not very friendly and extremely lazy. They are not customer service oriented at all. If you ask them to do anything, they are not happy and if you have questions you're rushed off the phone. Also, the continental breakfast is very limited and not that great. […] You can't get into the hotel from the opposite side of the street. Other than that the location is awesome. Really close to the freeway, grocery stores, and food. The room does not have a VHS or DVD player. Just a TV with limited channels and eleven dollar movie rentals. Yeah, they're expensive. Don't try to bring your own either, the TV doesn't have the ability to have anything hooked up to it. I don't know if I would stay here again or not.. "Great Location to Winery"
All the other fancy hotels around the area were charging too much to fit my budget so we picked Sandman to attend a wedding around the area. The location was great - only less than 2 miles away from where we need to be. Carrow in the next plaza made it really easy to have breakfast. I would stay here again, the hotel was clean. the employees were courteous and helpful. One of my nights there 2 kids decided to skateboard at 10 at night..the hotel took care of the issue without anyone having to report it, and still treated the kids with respect

The price was a deal, and the stay was worth it. It's pretty close to downtown, so it was convenient. It had a fridge and microwave, which was a nice perk, but we didn't need it. Super close to the 101 (2 minutes), clean room, reasonably comfortable, continental breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about. Don't expect luxury, but a clean, comfortable and convenient place to rest your head.
