Zephyr Mountain Lodge - Winter Park

We reserved a two bedroom w/ two queen beds and a pull out. We called to verify the day before and confirmed. We were given one king and two twins. The condo smelled of cigarette smoke. We were supposed to have a mountain view but didn't. We had a late checkout and then the hotel locked us out of our room two hours earlier. It had been 10 years since I last stayed at Zephyr. The entire area had changed. The have developed a nice village right at the base of the mountain. The rooms were pretty much the same but had a little wear to them and that was pretty much expected. If you want 5 star don't go. If you are comfortable in a 3 star and a place that is kid friendly then […] this is the perfect place. The location to the ski rental and to the ski lifts were perfect especially with my 8 year old. The best part for my 8 year old was the hot tubbing out in the snow! Overall, great place to stay. Will be back but remember when booking that the Zephyr has two properties. The Slopeside which is closest to the lift and much easier to ski down to or Riverside that you do need to walk about 30 yards. Enjoyed it. Lisätietoja

I stayed at the Zephyr Mountain Lodge with my boys who are just learning to ski. I spent the extra money for the convenience of the location next to the ski lifts. I thought the staff was really nice, the room was great, location was great and overall had a really nice experience.

Location is great...ski in, ski out. Housekeeping not so good. Underground parking is an extra daily charge.

If you want ski-in/ski-out access to Winter Park, this is the place. Furnishings may vary slightly from room to room. Beware, though, if you want to park on site, they will ask you to pay an additional, more than nominal, fee per night. Otherwise, you have to park over a half mile away.

Our family spent five days here Dec.2012 and it was terrific. The ski-in ski-out convenience was great. Pull out wasn't the most comfy but good enough for the kids. Close to dining and shopping and the free bus service was a plus. Would definitely stay here again!

A Great hotel to stay at for ski in/out. The snow conditions were not great - but it is early in the season. Overall the hotel was excellent. Main problem was there was only one functioning elevator the whole time we were there - 5 days. We were on the sixth floor - this may going up and down with ski boots/clothes etc very difficult. We booked the one of the best room in the hotel, but it seems like no one stayed there for a long time. The rooms are all dusty and there're dead flys on the bath room floor. I called the front desk to clean but when I got back there's still flys on the floor. And the fire place is not working. BAD SERVICE

I loved this place in oct best time to stay noone around very nice we had the whole place to ourselves very nice.

Zephyr Mtn Lodge is very nice. A little dated on the inside but not bad. Price was OK. Nice front desk help. Convenient parking. Also stayed here in the winter and was just as good.

Good location.Room was clean. Hot tubs need attention(dirty). Mtn biking was great.

We had a great summer stay at the Zephyr lodge. It's right in the middle of Winter Park resort. There are plenty of things to do in the summer: alpine slide, mountain biking, maze, miniature golf. The condo had a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedroom, sofa bed, cable TV with BluRay DVD player. The balcony overlooked the main square of Winter […] Park. Very Nice place to stay...great view nice place...is it a NYC type 5 star no...but great fully furnished ski condo.

I brought one of my kids and his buddy and stayed in a 2 bed Riverside room. The staff was up and friendly at 3 am in the morning when we arrived. The room was perfect. Cleaning did not happen often but we could care less. Multiple doors in/out of the building. Kitchen fully loaded. Internet and plenty of TV channels. Kids loved the hot tubs. The parking […] garage was heated and full of carts to get our bags unloaded. I thought the value was great and even better based on the response from the kids. Would do again every time. Zephyr Mountain Lodge is a nice hotel with a very convenient location for skiing. Super easy to ski-in and ski-out. Not much night life in the area, though. I was there March 30-31 (end of season). The hotel was nice but not like anything I haven't seen before. The location was absolutely beautiful and based just off the mountain. The beds were not very comfortable at all, however. I would suggest bringing your own pillows. The food in Winter Park was very good though! Overall, not a bad place to stay but don'e expect a 5 star resort.

The accommodations were more than we had expected with fantastic access to the slope and primary chair lift. We arrived about 1:00 PM but were not able to check in until about 3:30. It was a Saturday and a lot of people checking out. The unit was great. Everything we needed. Only down side was trying to keep the unit cool enough (e.g., about 70 degrees). […] the bedroom always seemed too warm with no way to cool down until we found a way to open the window. We had stayed at the Zephyr a few years ago and found it great for skiing. The hotel was clean and well appointed. On this stay however, there were several things wrong with the room: 1) ski locker was broke and was not fixed after two requests. 2) the bedroom upper window frame was broken and cold air easily entered room 3) the heating system would […] not regulate itself. 4) bathroom facets leaked and showerhead was broken. The front desk did manage to get the broken window fixed, but we had to live with the rest of the issues during our stay It seems that the Zephyr is starting to go downhill. It is a great location and if we didn't have the issues with this room we would go back and will still probalby try Fraser Crossing, but based on this experience I can not recommend the Zephyr Mountain Inn. Staff very accomodating. Room was outstanding! They had trouble with hot water first day but it was -45 degrees so you can understand.

The place was great except for the bed linens and pillows. Worst pillows ever. Also, no maid service, it is a condo.

Winter Park was amazing. The surrounding area and all of the people that we met there were extremely helpful and gave us a great sense of welcome. It still had a small town feel while providing the destination vacation feel that we were looking for. The only downside was that all of the restaurants/shops in the resort area closed pretty early, but that […] was okay because a) we were exhausted after a day on the slopes, and b) it was a short trip into town on the free shuttle if we wanted to get a late night drink or meal. We arrived early and were immediately checked into our room. We stayed in a two bedroom. It was very spacious. The ski lifts are at walking distance. Rentals and food services are also at walking distance. The shutter service was awesome. They were always a call away...Enjoyed my stay at this lodge.

Zephyr Mountain Lodge met all of my expectations. While it is not luxurious, it is comfortable & convenient. Indoor parking with elevator access to room floors is a plus.

The Lodge has a nice ambiance when you enter and the best thing about it is the convenience to the slopes. The second best thing is the heated private garage. Otherwise it is average especially for the high price and the room was very small. In fact many things were very small and unusual - hallways, fitness areas and the outdoor hot tubs which almost […] took a map to get to. It is not the luxurious stay you would expect given its location. The staff was helpful but getting services took a long time. We waited almost 2 hours for a roll away bed since housekeeping had left for the night and we had to go back and ask a second time. The room we booked wasn't quite what we expected. It said a one bedroom slept 4, but if you are two couples or have older kids it's pretty crowded. One of the Queen beds is a sofa sleeper. The rooms have no A/C for summer guests and no screens on the windows. We left the windows open anyway and the rooms still felt pretty warm. Another note...these […] are condos not hotel rooms so there is no housekeeping service until after your third night. With that said, the property itself is great! Thi was our first ski vacation and we had a blast. It was a beautiful place and it snowed almost everyday. On Christmas eve there was a ski show and we even were able to attend a church service.You could rent your skis and eat dinner right at the base of the mountain. excellent in every way

Although the hotel may be wonderful during the winter---I do not recommend for a summer visit. The rooms did not have AC & the temps reached the mid 80's. Most activities closed at 6:00- leaving the family in a sweltering condo for the evening. The staff (although polite) was very sparse. Even at reduced rates---this hotel is not a value.

We assume that the issues that we had were because we were staying at a ski resort in the summer, but we were disappointed. It took them three tries to get us a room that had been cleaned and the occupancy had to be less than 1%. They blamed it on a new Room Service manager not doing their job. Also, the bed was hard as a rock and there were only three […] restaurants open at the lodge. One was purely breakfast and the mexican one that we tried had poor service, dirty tables and floors, and less than desireable food. The hotel really is beautiful and the area is gorgeous.
