I booked 2 apartments for a hen party weekend. The apartments were very clean and comfy and were great for entertaining a large party. The apartment was also opposite Liverpool Street Station which made it very convenient. Beware though I initially booked for 5 adults in each room but when I rang the hotel a few days before my stay to double check the […] extra bed in the rooms, I was told I would have to pay £50 per bed per room extra. The 196 is almost a good place to stay. However, staying on the fifth floor with an elevator that was out of service is pretty ugly. We arrived late on the first night and had a very difficult time finding someone to check us in! The rollaway bed was fairly low quality.

Spacious apartment right in the heart of the City. Particularly good if staying more than one night. Has every convenience like washing machine, iron, fully equipped kitchen etc. Free wifi as well. Only downside is that rooms overlooking street can be noisy.

Excellent location & easy to find. Checked in swiftly, unfortunately there is only 1 (small) lift so can take some time for it to arrive! We stayed on the 3rd floor & room was very clean. Very spacious kitchen with all amenities, dining table was next to the bed & no separate seating area which is a shame. Great studio apt. Close to grocery store (Tesco) and Liverpool Street underground station. I think a fantastic deal. London was great.

The location of the hotel was perfect for our stay. The two bedroom apartment we rented was spacious for 3 people and we enjoyed being able to cook meals on some evenings. This apartment is in a great location. This is a safer area of London. Right across from liverpool street station with several places to eat and a grocery store within 2 blocks. Overall these are nice apartments very clean With air conditioning. We had no problems.

We enjoyed the great location of this hotel. It is well appointed and the staff was amiable and helpful. The beds and pillows were fairly new and comfortable, the restroom and kitchen very modern.

Great size to the bedroom and adjoining lounge. Separate kitchen and bathroom. All fixtures and fittings seemed new and the room was very clean. This hotel exceeded our expectations. We arrived late at night (3 adults + 2 children) and were greeted by a wonderful staff. Having this apartment is the way to go to enjoy London. There is a grocery store just down the street and Liverpool Station across the street. The London Bridge is just blocks away and wonderful pubs are everywhere. The room I had was a very pleasant appartment and was clean and well equipped. Sadly though the rooms at the front of this hotel suffer dreadully from road noise as the hotel is on one of London's busiest roads. It desperately needs proper double glazing installed in these rooms or at least some very heavy curtains.

This is the perfect hotel for families especially for longer stays. I love the fact that it has a full kitchen and it is situated right across Liverpool St. Tube station. Tesco grocery is so close and many convenience stores are right there. Will definitely stay here again. :)

Great place to stay for business or tourist trip. Many saving by using the Kitchen which is well equipped. The place is also well located and is with no doubts less expensive than a 4 starts hotel. The staff was very friendly and the place is very clean. Overall I will definitely get back there in my next visit.

Even though the hotel is in the heart of the city, the room was pleasingly quiet. The location is excellent and right across the street from the tube. For anyone who wants to dine in, the facilities are great and there's a market virtually right next door.

The location of the apartments is second to none, right in the heart of the City. We were on a weekend trip and could easily and conveniently get around either via Liverpool Street station (opposite the apartment) or on foot - St Paul's, Millenium Bridge, Tate Modern. I felt that the apartment was clean, comfortable, convenient and good value for the cost. My only complaint was that it was very warm in the bedroom, and even though we turned the storage heater off the day before, it was still hot to the touch the following day. The location and value of this hotel is very good, but sadly I was let down by the check in experience. When I arrived the receptionist was counting the cash in the till and continued to do so until he'd finished, which left me standing there waiting for quite a long time. Pleasant enough to stay again. eater did not work all the time and though the staff was pleasant to repair quickly the repair did not last and the heater continued to fail. Small shower. Appliances worked and if you want ot save a bit convenient access to Tesco for food. Good access to Central line

Not a hotel in the conventional sense, more of a mansion block, but if you just want a decent sized, comfortable room with facilities to be self sufficient you can't go wrong. There's a wealth of restaurants, cafes and bars on your doorstep. Its right by Liverpool St station so its well situated. Ideal and great value.

We enjoyed our stay at 196 Bishopsgate! It was very close to our daughter's dorm and a tube stop! Plenty of good restaurants in the vacinity and shopping at Spitalfields outdoor market. Except for our dryer not working and the inconvience associated with this problem, our stay was uneventful. 196 Bishopsgate was convenient and the price on Hotels.com made it fit my budget. I was expecting more from the accommodations. I got the studio, which was quite roomy with a bedroom, living room and bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable but I have a couple of issues. 1. There was no blackout screen for the window. Even though there were blinds, […] I found it too bright in the room to sleep. 2. There was only liquid soap in the bathroom. I would have preferred real soap. 3. There were no washcloths in the bathroom. I use one for the shower and shaving, so I had to use a whole towel. 4. The couch was old and worn. It is not close to Westminster, in fact it is in the opposite side, but you are in front of Liverpool Station, so if you take the tube you are there in 15 minutes. Nice place, indeed
