Quite Hotel, nice and relaxing. Good position.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Poem Hotel. It was in a really good location, within walking distance to many tourist attractions. Also nice restaurants and litle bars nearby which was nice for the evenings. The staff at the hotel were all very helpful and keen to give advice when asked. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The hotel is located very close to Ayasofya and Topkaki Palace, with great views of the Bosphorous from the back rooms and rooftop deck. Breakfast is delightful and served in a charming garden area each morning. Rooms are small but comfortable; the only thing that could be difficult for travelers is that there are many steps to get to the rooms.

We enjoyed our stay at the Poem Hotel very much. We expected small-ish rooms based on the other reviews, but I will have to say the rooms are exceptionally small in my opinion. Nevertheless, it was comfortable and we didn't spend a lot of time actually in the room anyway. Our last three nights, the manager upgraded us (without our even asking) to the […] "Listening to Istanbul" room and it was MUCH more comfortable. Traveling light would be advisable as there is no elevator and dragging heavy bags up to the 3rd or 4th floor is difficult. The hotel staff takes care of it for you, but even managing my purse, coat, and carry-on bag up three floors was not easy. The breakfast is quite sufficient. It is a typical Mediterranean/Middle East-type of menu. If you're expecting bacon and eggs, you'll be disappointed, but there was plenty to eat and the quality was good. We especially enjoyed the lovely breakfast room and even had afternoon tea there a couple of times just to unwind a bit. Now, the roof... I LOVED the roof of this hotel. While we were there, the weather was cool with a cool breeze, but the sun was warm. They have a nice selection of tables, chairs, lounge furniture, and even a bar set-up, although that wasn't in use while we were there. I spent hours on the roof just looking at the Sea of Marmara and watching the ships come and go on one side, and seeing the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia on the other side. Very relaxing! I could've spent my whole vacation on the roof, I think! The hotel staff is fantastic and very accommodating and the location is great - just off the main thoroughfare of cafes, restaurants, and shops so you're close to everything but don't have to deal with the noise and crowds. There is a train station within sight of the hotel, and the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Hippodrome and other sights are all within easy walking distance, as well as the tram. Very good situation in the historical center of Istanbul.

it was a nice stay at poem hotel. the breakfast buffet wasnt as extravagant as some other hotels that I had stayed in istanbul but was nice and i was able to get a full meal in. the room was for a single.. and sincerely only one person fit at a time. it was quite small. booking as a single I thought I would still get a larger double bed as i requested.. […] but no. the hotel staff is very friendly and they have the airport shuttle for only 5eur which was very convenient. its a little confusing to get there.. but the area is great with lots of restaurants, shops and tourist agencies all around. Quiet, small, cozy hotel in Sultanhamet. Near all the sites. Breakfast is delicious and the hotel is very clean. The cat in the reception is awesome. Highly recommend this place. Ask for the "All of a Sudden" room, especially if the weather is nice. You won't be disappointed!!!

I loved Poem! The staff are incredibly nice, and speak English very well. The hotel is secure (locked at night, with someone always on desk), the rooms are clean, with new bathrooms and cute little flatscreen TVs), and the location is fantastic! My only complaint is that the rooms are absolutely tiny! But alas, fine for a singleton.

The Poem Hotel, which gives poem titles to its rooms and not numbers, has a great location in the old part of Istanbul. Many restaurants and major sites are nearby. The staff is very helpful with recommendations.

Nothing really wrong with this hotel apart from the very compact rooms and limited breakfast but this part of Istanbul is full of tourist hotels many of which are better value for money.

A really nice hotel with a spectacular view of the Dardanelles from the top balcony. A good staff that spoke English well and was very accommodating with good advice about what to do in the city.

The Poem Hotel ın Istanbul ıs excellent. The staff is friendly, knows English well. and can give good recommendations for sites to see and touring. The vıew of the Bosphorus is spectacular. I plan to stay here again in about three weeks.

the service, cleanliness and unique set up was wonderful and refreshing. Even though i am disabled they assisted us carrying luggage and the view from the room was magnificent. If you can choose the war lovers room as it is spacious with wonderful views. We intend to go back as soon as we can

My friend and I each got a single room. They were both small rooms but the common areas are so lovely, we really only used the room to sleep. Otherwise, each room was clean and the bathroom, shower, tv and wi-fi worked well. The overall condition of the hotel was superb, and there was a large breakfast, with hot and cold items. The hotel was a bit far from the tram (about ten minutes) but was also much quieter than the tram area would have been. The staff was very helpful and eager to please. c'est un hotel face au Bosphor. Juste dommage que certains arbres sont trop grand et limite un peu la vue. Les chambres sont assez petite et le personnel est adorable.

Hotel bien placé. Chambres très propres et refaites récemment mais très petites. Les chambres donnant sur la rue sont bruyantes. Accueil agréable. En revanche le petit déjeuner est minable et la terrasse donne sur un terrain vague encadré de maisons en ruine. Rent, sentralt, og hyggelig. Små rom med enkel standard men mye for pengene.

Hotel pequeño totalmente reformado, la situación es muy buena, a tan solo 3 minutos andando del Palacio Taksim. Si vas para 2 ó 3 dias es perfecto. Las habitaciones totalmente reformadas. Un poco pequeñas si llevas maletas grandes.

Helt greit hotell. Litt likegyldig personale. Små rom, men en god deal for pengene. God frokost, genial beliggenhet. Koselig frokostbalkong, og mulighet å sitte på takterrasse med fantastisk utsikt.

En general todo estuvo muy bien. Si bien las habitaciones no son espaciosas el lugar es muy calido. La atencion de la gente q trabaja en el hotel es muy buena y bien predispuesta. Esta en una muy buena ubicacion y proximo a los lugares mas atractivos (mesquita azul y santa sofia). La zona es muy segura y posee una importante oferta gastronomica.

Die Atmosphäre im Hotel war sehr gut, da das Personal sehr sympathisch war. Das gesamte Hotel war zudem sehr sauber und die Aussicht von der Dachterrasse auf den Bosporus kann nicht besser sein. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Hotellet låg nära Hagia Sofia och Blå moskén. Det fanns en mysig gata med restauranger alldeles i närheten också. Rummen var små, ett dubbelrum med en stor säng är ganska litet för två personer om man inte känner varann väl. Men bra service på hotellet. Enkel frukost.

La chambre etait trop petite et mal agencee ( climatisation au dessus de la tete de lit; salle de bain trop petite).
