Melko rauhallisessa ympäristössä, vähän liikennöidymmän kadun varressa. Sata metriä mahtavaan merenrantaan, muutaman sadan metrin säteeltä löytyi ravintoloita ja ruokakauppoja. Oli myös hyvät julkisen liikenteen yhteydet mm. juna-asemalle. Noin puolen tunnin kävely esim. aallonmurtaja-rantakatua pitkin linnoitettuun 'vanhaan kaupunkiin', jonne, ainakin lähelle, pääsi myös bussilla. Saimme hyvää palvelua ja buffet-aamiaista. Voisin hyvin mennä uudestaan asumaan.

The Hotel Montgomery, contrary to what I certainly suspected, is named not in tribute to World War II General Viscount Montgomery of El Alamein, but instead reflects the name of a noble family with close links to the area and presumably the building itself. Do not let its British name fool you, the hotel is a paragon of French tradition. The core of […] the building dates from the Sixteenth Century with later additions forming distinct extensions, this resulted in the building consisting of multiple levels often within the same floor. The elevator does not reach all of the rooms (as it only stops on each floor) meaning some are difficult to access for those for whom mobility is an issue as bags must be carried up small flights of steep stairs. Otherwise, the hotel is exceedingly charming with decorated Renaissance ceilings, dark-wood panelled corridors and a beautiful courtyard garden. The room itself was tastefully decorated but otherwise unremarkable aside from a 30-something inch LCD HD television. The main benefit of the hotel in my opinion is the helpful and engaging staff, who answered all of our questions and provided us with a superb restaurant recommendation (Hotel de Bretagne) which we otherwise would have been aware of. Location is another of the hotel's primary assets - it is easy to find (even without GPS) as it lies just on the left as one enters Pontorson from the main road. It is situated in the centre of town close to several brilliant eateries and various amenities. Most visits to Pontorson are in relation to the monument of Mont St Michel; the hotel is less than fifteen minutes from the famous monastic complex - mercifully distant from the hordes of tourists and overpriced meals. The night manager was very accomodating in putting together some sandwiches at our late arrival. Room was adequate, nothing great but it appears that there were other rooms with more charm or comfort. This is a beautiful hotel with historic significance. Ana at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. She is a huge asset to the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. Spacious is unusual for most European hotels. It is approximately 6 miles from Mont St Michel. Without a car, went to the train station to take the bus to Mont St Michel. Beautiful, 500-year old hotel in great condition. Right in the center of town! Original woodwork, friendly atmosphere, nice and helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again!

This hotel is not only charming and full of character, its also very comfortable and clean too. The staff were very helpful and recommended an excellent local restaurant to us. The hotel is historical and located near Le Mt. St. Michel and there's a tourist center nearby that is an easy walk. Meget originalt og gammelt hotel med sjæl. Mogenmaden rimelig, men a´æggene var iskolde sikkert fra dagen før. Ellers super beliggenhed i forhold til Mount St Michel
