Joustava ja ystävällinen palvelu. Ilmaiset bussikuljetukset lentokentälle erittäin hyvä. Monipuolinen aamiainen ja viihtyisä aamiaissali plussaa, tilava huone. Kylpyhuoneeseen pitäisi laittaa lisää pyyhekoukkuja tai lavuaarin pöydän reunaan tanko, johon käsipyyhkeen olisi voinut laittaa. Kolmelle ihmiselle liian vähän pyyhekoukkuja. Siisti huone kaikin mukavuuksin. Hotellin sisätilat sokkeloiset. Ensin huoneeseen ja sitten takaisin aulaan on hankala löytää. Lähellä lentokenttää hyvä hotelli kohtuuhinnalla. Kentältä kuljetus hankalampi kun transferbussi kulkee melko harvoin. Hotellista kentälle onnistui hyvin.

Excellent spacious room, very good rate, good amenities (pool and gym) Food good too! My only criticism is no tea and coffee making facilities in rooms!

Overall, I found my brief stay at the Van der Valk hotel quite enjoyable. From the outside it doesn't look all that nice, but don't let that fool you. The inside is well decorated and maintained. The staff is extremely friendly and are willing to offer help and advice regarding trips into the city. The hotel is a short 10 minute bus ride from the airport. […] The shuttle is complementary and runs 6am to Midnight, leaving the airport and hotel every 40 minutes (every even hour from the hotel and every odd hour from the airport). The hotel is located at a rest stop on the A4 highway, which offers several restaurant choices (KFC, Burger King, La Place) and a couple of shops. The room was in terrible shape including these obvious problems: unpainted large plywood rectangle nailed to sink front, very scary shower with rubber tubing hanging from the door.

Everything is good, except that we had to travel to Amsterdam for everything sightseeing, tours, food, shopping.

this is my second time and I enjoyed it more the second time round (guess I knew what to expect) . Location is awful, just off a motorway, so expect traffic noise in room.. And hotel can be crowded with hoards of people (so be sure to book table in resto in evening), Best aspect is food - always good in the large restaurant - breakfast and lunch / dinner […] meals. Be mindful that the journey from Schipol takes longer than expected as bus needs to do a long loop to cross motorway to reach hotel. Served our purpose very well (staying at a decent hotel close to the airport). A comfortable hotel on the road with all what you need to stay a night over. Few of good eating places across the street close by. Hotel also has a very good restaurant with a good food. Probably a good place to stay when you need a night cap at Schiphol in between your intercontinental flights. The hotel was easy to get to from the airport with a free shuttle service directly outside the airport. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport but only 10 minutes to the airport due to the layout of the ring road. You can then get a train into amsterdam central from the airport for €8 day return. Altogether it takes about 40 minutes to get into […] town from the hotel. The hotel is very large and the rooms are medium sized, with a large TV with international stations (BBC News etc) and there is free wifi in the rooms and foyer. Small niggles- there is no tea or coffee make facilities in the room and there is only an option of twin beds (they told us the room was a double but instead was two twins put together). In fairness, we did not complain so perhaps if we had been a bit more vocal they may have been able to change this for us. I have never in all my travels dealt with a hotel desk this rude. The hotel is massive and reminded me of trying to navigate a maze without a map. It took us 2 elevators and 3 corridors to reach our room. Our only request was for a quiet room away from elevators and vending machines. While we weren't close to the later two, we were placed right next […] to the laundry loading dock with trucks that pick up at 5am. When I called the front desk to ask about a room change, they told me our room type wasn't available anywhere else but they could put us in a smaller room for the same charge. We did take the smaller room to get away from the racket but didn't appreciate the way we were treated. The rooms are OK and large by international standards but the decor and furnishings are very dated and unappealing. On the upside, they do have a nice indoor pool and lovely breakfast buffet. My husband and I stayed here for valentines week. Its a lovely hotel with a convenient location to get around Amsterdam and surrounding areas if you have a car. Free shuttles take you to and from airport so public transport is accessible. Downside to hotel was workers in the morning making lots of noise, also the room was cold no heating worked and […] they never fixed it. Reasonable prices and nice looking great bath facility bath shower in on room separate and massive flatscreen. A little outside of Amsterdam but made easy by the free shuttle bus and trains, superb hotel well worth a try!, Only 20 minutes in to Amsterdam but you'll struggle to find a hotel anywhere near as good for the price!

I was just looking for a decent hotel by the airport, and the Van der Valk turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The restaurant was open early and late. The staff were friendly and helpful. The highlight for me was the steamroom and sauna - a pleasant surprise.

Airport shuttle is very convenient and was always on time, great for using to get back to the airport to use the trains into town centre. Takes about 40 mins in total using the shuttle and train. We arrived, senior couple,late 60's with a small dog, charged 15 euros for dog, which was expected,room was spacious bathroom great, dog accepted, asked us if we needed anything for the dog. Also a real bonus a patio with sliding glass door that opened for fresh air. Security at hotel excellent. Clean free shuttle to airport. But for late check in you […] need to CALL the hotel for night taxi 20 euros, from airport the charge is 40 euros, with regular taxi. We had a late check in, 1:30 AM as our flight was delayed.. No problems. Great lobby. Indoor pool, and parking. Definately recommended by us. Good for families with children. Lots of clean towels, and good bed. It was not a hotel. it reminded me a processing facility. The staff of the huge facility was categorical and not accommodating, if you where promised a two queen room, don’t even dream - it will be 2 x two tween at best! No complaints taken. No attempts to mitigate... Once you are issued a key you are supposed to get lost in your little cell and not […] bother the staff, that reminded me officers of the correctional facility (I am a former judge). What they called rooms stunk and where barely maintained up to a minimum sanitary requirements (not sure they met them). we travelled in a company of four - my wife and two children and even after a four hour flight, we could not stay there, packed our stuff and left looking for another hotel. I enjoyed my short stay very much. The reception area is very nice, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are also fast food restaurants extremely nearby, if you do not want to use the hotel restaurant.

Stayed here many times if I have an early flight from Schiphol. Room as are always massive and clean. I skip dinner and breakfast and just head over to the services across the car park. Everything you want there chinese, steaks...La Place is my weapon of choice. Hotel was much further from the Airport than advertised. It was a 10-15 min shuttle ride. Also the free shuttle service does not start until 6 am. If you have an early flight you must pay 20 Euros for the ride to the airport. Also early check in cost me an additional 15 Euros, which I found to be quite expensive for 4 hours. Very good hotel. Spacious room and bathroom, comfy bed, very clean, nice balcony, reliable Internet. There is a KFC next to the hotel, which is convenient. It would be even better though if there was a kettle for tea in the room.

I regularly stay here before my early morning flight to the US, a the hotel is but a few minutes away from the airport, right off the highway. It belongs to a chain that is known for fairly good quality at a reasonable price. My room was large and clean. Good, spacious bathroom, nice shower. Had a decent meal, friendly staff. You'll get some noise from the airport and the highway and the neighborhood lacks any charm. The hotel tries to make up for it with its decorations, fake fireplaces etcs. Open spaces, marble floors.
