Hotelli oli siisti ja todella edullinen ja palvelu oli hyvää. Ainut huono asiaoli, että hissi ei toiminut kuin silloin tällöin ja väsyneenä sekä kantamusten kanssa se ei ollut mukavaa.

Majatalomainen hotelli sijaitsee helpon bussimatkan päässä Salzburgin keskustasta. Vaikka hotelli on vilkkaasti liikennöidyn kadun varrella, ei meteli kantautunut yöllä huoneisiin asti. Hotellin henkilökunta on ystävällistä ja kielitaitoista. Aamiainen sisälsi kahvia tai teetä, tuoremehua, leipiä, hedelmiä, jogurtteja, muroja, leikkeleitä sekä makeaa kakkua. Kelpo valikoima melko huokealla. Hinta-laatusuhteeltaan erinomainen vaihtoehto. Sopii siis pienemmälläkin budjetilla reissaaville.

Found this hotel to suit my needs. Always wanted to visit berghtesgaden area and it's beautiful surroundings. Eagles Nest is 30km away from this location. Rooms were clean and service was very kind and helpful. Did not use the pool the hotel has. Maybe the price was little bit on upper limit, but still good value. Free internet was also a big plus. Breakfast was also included, which helps a lot, when you're travelling. Quiet location. Maybe not for long stays? I was just travelling by.

"Hotel Elefant- Perfect location /charming Hotel"
I recently stayed at Hotel Elefant during the Mozart Cup where my daughter skated representing Team USA. I loved the hotel, the location , the excellent friendly service and the food was wonderful!!! Hotel is in the heart of old town, stepping out front entrance right in the middle of shopping, excellent restaurants, museums,Mozart square, and sights […] from Sound of Music. My room was comfortable , modern and very clean ! Breakfast buffet included was very nice. The lobby is very small, so if you like hanging out in the hotel this may not be place for you! "Fantastic location and comfort"
Staff was extremely helpful. This hotel is in the heart of old town. What a great location. Just wish we had more time to stay. There is a lot to see and do right around the hotel. We loved hearing the church bells echoing through the streets. If in the area again we will be staying here for sure!

Great hotel , superb location , great breakfast , lovely room with very comfortable bed . All staff very friendly and helpful . Everything clean . The hotel is so central all the beautiful surroundings can be accessed so easily . I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Salzburg .
"Great Location/Good Value"
The Hotel Elefant's central location and excellent staff made for a pleasant two-day stay in Salzburg's Old Town. The room was nicely furnished and the breakfast was good. The only drawback was the somewhat small size of the room.

"Not exactly a room with a view"
The hotel is located right in the centre of the old town. My room was large for a double, more like a small suite. However the window looked straight on the back wall of the neighbouring property - only a couple of feet away - so there was very little natural light in the room and worse, no air. The atmosphere in the room was damp and airless. There […] was a lot of mildew in the bathroom which made the whole room smell unpleasant. I had to wait a couple of hours for towels after I arrived as they had run out (!) Neither towels nor sheets were changed in my 4 night visit as far as I could tell, and on one day my room was not cleaned at all. "Such a let down!"
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in June 2011 and was very surprised by the very poor quality of service and housekeeping. My room on the first night had no toileties and no remote control. On the second day the room was not cleaned at all! I returned to my room at 3.30pm and when I saw housekeeping had not been, I asked reception for the room to […] be clean - I was assured it would happen within the hour. When I returned again at 5.30pm the room was not cleaned and I was informed by reception that housekeeping had left for the day!! Such poor service for the price of the room. Also, each time I approached reception with a request ie toileties etc, I was made to feel it was my issue and was not offered an apology. The exception being one receptionist who came on later in the day and tried to help and offered me one free drink from the mini bar - far too little too late! This hotel is very close to all the sights in salzburg. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a small seating area. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of food.

"One day in Salzburg"
We were in Salzburg a day and what a great day. The hotel is in the heart of everything. We had one of our best meals there too. We believe the owner sat next to us at dinner and she made sure things were timely. The hotel is small and so was the room but it was perfect for the night. Everything was clean and modern. Free WiFi. Great time.

I stayed with my 2 children for 3 nights and we had a fantastic stay. Stephanie and Iris, the friendly receptionists/caretakers who were there to greet us everyday were wonderful. "Small room but nice hotel"
The hotel is conveniently located in the pedestrian downtown. Bus from the airport stops nearby at less than 5 minute walk. The rooms are nice and clean but small. Twin beds are really small but comfort is ok.

Great hotel with warm and welcoming hotel staff who are always ready with a smile & helpful advice abt food , places of interest etc ... Room is v comfy and spacious enough for us . Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends :)

"Great location, tiny room"
We stayed for only one night at the Hotel Elefant, a short block away from Salzburg's Christmas Market (Kriskindlmarkt). The hotel is small with a tiny elevator, and our room was exceptionally small. However, the staff was extremely polite and accommodating and the hotel was very well kept and in a great location.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at the Hotel Elefant. The hotel is situated in the middle of old Salzburg and it's an easy walk to most historic sites. Driving from Munich, we got aliitle disoriented but a quick call to the hotel and the patient expertise of the desk clerk made it possible to find our way to the front door. The check-in […] was quick and smooth, the room was well-appointed and spotlessly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of foods to satisfy most tastes. Parking rates were reasonable and they let us keep our luggage in the lobby after check-out so that we could still tour the city until our departure. The staff was friendly, polite and accommodating. "Favorite hotel of our trip..."
We stayed at Hotel Elefant for two nights of a ten day trip and it was by far our favorit hotel, and one of the cheapest. It is in the pedestrian area of town with lots of restaurants nearby. The room was clean and more spacious than most European hotels. The hotel does not feel like a chain hotel and the breakfast was quite good. We took the bus in […] from the train station but ended up on the wrong bus for a while so we ended up taking a taxi back when we departed. It was only like 10 euros so worth taking a taxi. We travel a lot!! This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. The location was great. The rooms and bathroom were a good size and clean. The staff spoke great English and the food was great. We would come back to this hotel.

Great hotel centrally located in the old part of Salzburg. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Excellent water pressure, but the bathroom set up was a bit awkward -- a common problem it seems in European hotels. Would have preferred the corners of the shower to be a little cleaner.

"A competant hotel"
We booked a king size but ended up in a twin with no alternate. This kind of thing is disappointing and lets down an otherwise good hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful.......

Excellent hotel in the centre of the Old Town. Although it is in the pedestrian precinct you can drive to the door to unload. The hotel have a deal with an underground car park 1o mins walk away (11 Euro a day). Room very comfortable and all the staff very friendly. Highly recommended.

Jeg boede første gang på Hotel Elefant i 1965. Det er stadig et hyggeligt hotel at komme tilbage til med den mest perfekte beliggenhed, man kan ønske sig. Og så er det ikke hver dag, man bor i et hotel der stammer fra midten af 1400-tallet og alligevel har al moderne komfort.

"super Hotel mit super Standort"
Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in der Altstadt und nahe den Busverbindungen. Zu Fuss ist alles in der Altstadt schnell erreichbar. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist sehr vielfältig. Der Raum ist ansprechend und Personal zuvorkommend.

Die Lage ist perfekt. Die Zimmer dafür sehr klein. Personal im Frühstücksraum zum Teil unfreundlich und unfähig. Frühstück mager für 4 Sterne.
