center of this small college town while just a short
drive away from the beauty of Mt. Ashland. Centrally

hiking trails or visit the unique boutiques and fine
dining of the town. Mount Ashland Ski Area is a mecca
for snow sports lovers, while the local Rogue River
Rafting companies are just a short walk away. No matter

your doorstep. Southern Oregon University is nestled in
Ashland, but were equally a college and culture-infused
town. There are miles of hiking trails surrounding our
Ashland hotel, and dont forget to explore the other
nearby towns. Historic Jacksonville is just a short
drive away, and home to the annual Britt Festival where
musicians from around the world perform. Experience the
gold rush days in this preserved town, thats been
largely unchanged for generations. The Shakespeare
Festival runs from February through October, but theres
an abundance of options beyond theater. Shop dozens of

We were in Ashland, OR to see a couple of plays at the Shakespeare Festival. The motel staff were very accommodating. We especially enjoyed the choices at the breakfast. If you are looking for a place to sleep, close to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and downtown Ashland, this is the best of the bunch. "So nice!"
We stayed in the recently-remodeled building, and it was plush. So new that the numbers hadn't been painted on the doors. My mother and brother both had balconies overlooking the town. The beds were so comfortable, there was a refrigerator, coffee/tea maker and seperate seating area. This building is on the east side of Hwy. 99, and the breakfast room […] is on the other side of the street, near the older part of the hotel. There's a nice buffet included in the stay, with a really pleasant room in which to eat. The Bard's Inn is right downtown, and there are at least 8 restaurants within a block. "The staff here rocks!"
Great stay. The "smaller" rooms STILL do not have any towel bars. If a hotel wants to encourage guests to reuse towels, they MUST HAVE SOME PLACE TO HANG THEM WHEN THEY ARE WET/DAMP. I've made this same comment in the past at this hotel--no response to date. We were moved to an upgraded room across the street at NO CHARGE because a thoughtless guest […] had left two huge dogs in a van/SUV w/open windows, and they were barking their heads off. Staffer Jordan was EXTREMELY helpful, even called the Ashland cops to see if anything could be done, since the rude guest had turned off his/her phone and was unresponsive. The dogs barked all afternoon and then into the night, so we moved. Our stay across the street was great. We've stayed at this hotel many times, and we've always been satisfied. "I would stay again"
The breakfast was great. Breakfast burritos?! YEAH! I love breakfast burritos, I have them about 3 days a week at home and it was almost like being at home (only without the Tapatio). I also appreciated the lactose free yogurt which was yummy. The bed was comfortable, the size of the room was appropriate--It had a table with chairs so we could eat like […] normal people. We were even able to fit our bikes in the room without tripping into them. The bed linens were clean and soft (and scotch guarded, I believe, since the coffee I dribbled came right off!) . The floor of the room above us squeaked, which was annoying at the crack of dawn. We loved that we didn't need our car very much, being walking distance from all the great food spots and shops. "perfect for shakespeare"
the room was small, but it stated so on the room prices, had king bed with enough room to get around and store luggage, very clean, bedding felt very fresh and clean. We stayed in the newly remodeled part of the hotel. The staff was excellent. The free breakfast in the morning was very adequate. The wi-fi in the room had small issues but since I wasn't there to spend endless amounts of time on the computer, it wasn't a big issue. Except for the sick guy upstairs, sick through the night, we have no complaints. The desk guy was efficient and succinct: would you like restaurant recommendations? The place is clean.
