The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach - Mauin saari

Fantastic location. We had a one bedroom. It was so incredibly spacious, with a wonderful ocean view. No restaurants on site, but just a stroll away from Whalers Village, with all it's restaurants & bars. We didn't want to leave.

We stayed 3 nights recently and the Whaler exceeded our expectations. For the price it was an enormous value especially compared to the big brand hotels nearby which were charging over double the rate. Our room included a full kitchen, large closet, dining table, and patio - while we didn't take advantage of the kitchen, if we had stayed longer it would […] have been perfect for getting your own groceries and cooking. (most dining options in the area are overpriced). The bed had a memory foam mattress (this probably depends on the unit you get since it's a condo) so we were very satisfied with the sleep comfort. Also, the location is perfect - within walking distance of the Sheraton and Westin on either end, and right next to the Whalers Village for shopping and dining options. In short, great location, great value, large rooms, comfortable bed, easy check-in, complimentary beach towels provided every day; I would highly recommend this place... the only thing that could have been better is if they had their own snorkel gear, but that's probably expecting too much. Great experience and lovely accommodations except for one thing. Our reservations were for a room with two beds and upon arrival we found out the room had one bed and a fold-out couch...and the clerk said the hotel does not have ANY rooms with two beds. So it was a frustrating start to our visit to learn the website had incorrect information. The studio layout may not be for everyone, but if you arent planning on enteratining people in your room, this was very worthwhile. Having the full size kitchen was fantastic, and being in th emiddle of Kaanapali was terrific. Walk to all the great restaurants and shops, and golf...

Great location and reasonable room prices. Almost every room has ocean view!! Although when we were there last week the hotel was under construction, therefore quite noisy and the appearance wasn't great. Also our room was extremely dated with all 80's furniture and decor. We had also booked a king bed and recieved a queen.

Even though The Whaler is in a total renovation. This place was awesome.

Hotel staff were very hospitable. Willing to help with any and all needs. Wonderful place will definitely stay again.

room was cheaper due to renovations. I was not in the tower having the work done on it, so wasn't affected by it. paid for the cheapest room and had ocean views. I think every room would have ocean views due to the positioning of the two towers. Overall I really enjoyed the Whaler Hotel. The towel card is a great perk the Hotel offers. The only less than positive experience was the concierge service. The options for vendors were limited and the concierge was short with my questions. She was more focused on the next group of guests waiting to speak with her. In my opinion she could have mentioned […] to the other guests she would contact them once she finishes with helping me. I had a much better experience when I booked the other events directly with the vendors. Buy booking directly lower rates were offered and more selections were available even with activities I reviewed with the concierge. I chose not to rent a car and the options for transportation services to the events were limited (either bus or cab). It appears that the hotel books enough events/activities so perhaps they could consider different shuttle services for their guests to be transported directly to the events. We had a very lovely stay here. The outside of the hotel is deceiving. It doesn't look like it will be very nice but our room was excellent!! The bed was very comfy and it was spacious, clean, and modern. Great closet space too. The best part was the location to Kaanapalli beach. The beach ammenities are very nice and convenient as well. great location as it is close to everything you need. lovely setting. courteous and helpful staff.

The condo unit we rented was nice but the bed and fold out couch we had in our unit were sub par.The fold out couch bed was extremely uncomfortable.We had to get a rollaway from the office. For the price we paid the beds should have been way better.

We've stayed at the Whaler twice now. The rooms are not glamorous, but completely clean and functional. The hotel doesn't have any room service or dining-in option, but the shops and restaurants at The Whaler Shops are seriously only steps away. You can't beat the convenience of this hotel, and the price is extremely fair. Don't expect to be pampered--there […] are other hotels for that on Kaanapali beach. But this hotel is perfect for the couple or family who want to cook a few meals in and have the convenience of shops and restaurants at their fingertips. NOTE: do not pay extra for ocean view! Every room at this hotel has an ocean view! I recommend staying in tower 1. Also, one side of tower 1 faces the newly renovated koi pond and garden which is just beautiful. The hotel was a condo set up that allowed us to cook which was very helpful in Maui. Finding reasonably priced food is somewhat difficult. About a 2 minute walk to Whaler village with shops, a place to rent snorkel gear and places to eat. Very convenient. Near a great snorkeling spot Black Rock. We got spoiled staying at a resort in Wailea before coming […] here, so it wasn't as fancy, but was definitely comfortable and we had awesome views of the ocean and could hear the waves. Great room with a good view. Close to shopping & a short drive to a grocery store. The staff treated us very well and we had a blast with the other guests. Everyone helped us enjoy our 25th. Photos on the lawn. Would love to go back and stay longer.

Older property. Great location. Close to everything. Spacious rooms and nice updates in the kitchen. Friendly and helpful staff. I would stay there again.

We were married on the beach in Wailea,Maui and spent our 10 day honeymoon at the Whaler. Our room was amazing, very tastefully decorated with a bamboo inlay in the ceiling, a mirrored wall in the livingroom, a super comfy king.sized bed, a large flat screened tv and a large spray shower in the ceiling in the bathroom. The lanai looked over the whaler […] village and the ocean, We enjoyed hearing the music in the evening, after 10 pm all was quiet. The whale sightings were unbelievable and constant all day, and of course the sunsets were as beautiful from our lanai as from the beach. Our only small complaint would be the saving of beach chairs at the pool all day (not the hotels fault), if we got there in the afternoon it was hard to find two chairs together, but then we would go to the beach instead of the pool. There is a bus running from the Whaler Village going to Lahaina so we didn't need a car everyday. We walked to Lahaina, then for a dollar bused back. The concierge was very knowledgable, and all the staff were very friendly. We plan on going back next year and would most certainly recommend this hotel Lisätietoja

The studio condo was very clean and comfortable - although a litlle pricey. We tried to negotiate a more reasonable rate so we could stay longer but they refused even though their occupancy rate was only at about 50%. 会議が主催されている近くのホテルが満室だったので，こちらにしてみたら，大正解！！ 会議のあるホテルでの団体価格よりもお得な料金で，まるで個人の別荘のような感覚で過ごせました。 特に，キッチンがしっかりしていて，アメリカ食に飽きたらABCで好きな食材を買って，擬似的に日本食の生活ができます。 おまけに掃除もしてくれるので，極楽です。 日本での日常と近い状況で過ごせる，という贅沢な経験を，ホテル宿泊よりお得価格でできて，大満足です。 次回の会議でも，是非，利用します。

３泊友達と息子と３人で宿泊しました 思っていたよりとても広いゴージャスなお部屋に びっくり 快適に過ごせました ビーチも目の前だし、プールも小さいながらなかなかよかったです。 駐車場からのアクセスもよく、子供がいても問題なくすごせました。 駐車場にカートがおいてあり、たくさんの荷物も楽に運ぶサービスもよかったです 修復工事もあったせいか、お安い値段で泊まれました またマウイに行くときには、泊まりたいホテルです

ホエラーズビレッジの隣なので、買い物、食事がすぐ楽しめる立地です。　プールは小さいので、そこで楽しもうと考えてる方には勧めません。　部屋は清潔で、必要な物は揃っているので、自炊できます。　ツールに壊れているものがあったので、フロントにいうとすぐに補充してくれました。　ルームサービス等不満に思うことは何もなく快適な一週間でした。
