Heron House Court - Key West

The hotel is not big or new, but it's very well taken care of. The personnel is the most helpfull and lovely and sure to make your stay double as nice as it would have been in some other hotel -I wish I could have stayed longer!

Room needs some updating and is very small, but reasonably priced for Key West. Front desk staff was awesome.

Nice small hotel with plenty on space for your stay. Our room was a mini suite and was very nice. I would stay here again. It is centrally located and an easy walk to downtown. The staff was excellent and served a nice continental breakfast.

My husband and I loved the location of the Heron House Court. It was a bit of a walk to the main attractions and party area of Duval St but we liked wandering around the neighborhood and discovering the places that locals go. Roman from Heron House was very helpful and gave great recommendations for restaurants in the area. I would stay here again.

I booked this hotel based on price and number of good reviews. I have to say that almost all reviews were very accurate, especially concerning the manager Roman. He was one of the nicest, most helpful hotel managers I have ever dealt with. His attentiveness and friednly attitude made up for any shortcomings the hotel may have. The surrounding neighboorhood […] is nice/quiet and close to Duval St and other attractions. My only suggestion to the hotel would be that my room did have some maintenance issues like paint/drywall repairs needed, but the room was very clean and comfortable. Good location - quiet near good restaurants. Rooms need attention and updating. Bring your own toiletries, only very small soap and shampoo in room. One of the smallest rooms I have stayed @. Parking is biggest frustration in this residential neighborhood . Room was clean no doubt but needs to be upgraded. I booked a room with a king size bed. I got 2 twin beds pushed together with a king size sheet on them. The mattresses were the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. Friendly atmosphere. Roman was very helpful/knowledgeable. The only negative thought concerning the room was that ti only had one chair. Since there was two of us, somebody had to sit on the bed. Of course, you really don't spend too much time in the room in Key West.

Nice hotel and staff was very helpful. It was a bed and breakfast, breakfast very simple, I don't require bacon and eggs but would of been nice if they offered fresh fruit.

The location is excellent in the old town and is very walk-able to all major destinations. There are several excellent restaurants nearby. Service was excellent and Roman was a superb host. The condition of the rooms and exterior could use an upgrade but all was clea.

The room we stayed in needed some updating in the bath but the room was quaint and the amenities lovely. The innkeeper was right on with recommendations for dining and definitely rent bikes for getting around!

The building is beautifully & conveniently located but very quiet. A short walk to everything, but in a nice quiet area. It is a short bike ride or 1/2 hr walk to the shopping plazas for better prices. There is a GREAT sandwich bakery (lunches) beside the kitchen supply store 2 minutes walk away. Roman on the desk really goes out of his way to be helpful & friendly and deserves a big portion of the credit for why we enjoyed ourselves so much. This is a wonderful place to stay in Key West. Convenient and comfortable. We had a fantastic time! Parking is a challenge, but as others have noted Roman is very helpful in finding a spot. Leave the car parked and just walk around town. Originally we were going to stay on the other end of the island. Decided instead to stay in the old section as long as we were going to be there for 3 days.. Searched the internet a lot and came up with Heron House Court. It turned out being a fantastic choice and would go back tomorrow if we could. The bed was very comfortable, the ground floor room […] opened right out to the pool and hot tub, there was unlimited ice available, a little fridge in the room, a continental daily breakfast was just enough to start the day. A couple warnings: the TV in the room was small, but we were not there for TV. Our room opened right out to a common deck. There are other rooms that are on the 2nd floor that only have windows. be sure you know what you are reserving. There is a great Irish bar 2 blocks away and a pastry shop just down the lane. Richard and Roman run a top-notch, professional B&B at Heron House Court. Breakfast offers several tasty choices, and the guests who come down to dine are friendly and open. Keeping in mind costs of Key West in general, this property is fine. Don't expect luxury, but staff is very helpful (Roman) and it's nice getting to talk with other guests. It's a good 15 minute walk to Duval, but neighborhood is pretty and safe. I don't recommend having a car. Very hard to find parking spaces in area. Fabulous location, walk to Duval street. On quiet street. Very nice property just needs some refreshing with new carpet in room and perhaps some tiling in the bathrooms, flatscreen tv. Roman is the most welcoming host ever. Bed fabulous.

This was a bed and breakfast. The room was clean but the furniture was very old and unkept. It had a very old and dirty loveseat partially covered by a bed spread that had seen better times. The armoir had a very old small TV with a badly functioning remote and safe box inside. Stayed at this B&B for 2 nights. It was a very pleasant experience....it's a lovely, cozy place with a warm, friendly and helpful manager. Finding a parking spot is tough in the neighborhood, however we could walk to Mallory Square, which was a big plus.

We have stayed at Heron House Court twice. On neither trip did we use our car. We could walk any place we wanted to go from the B&B. Roman, the manager, is very personable and knowledgeable, and will get any information you need for a wonderful vacation.
