with relatively new ownership, the hotel is undergoing some much needed renovation. this did not keep us from having a lovely time!. the frindly and helpful staff more than makes up for any temporary malfunctions or inconveniences. We will definitely return!

This is an adult hotel, there are mirror everywhere in the room, even the ceiling, which was awesome!!!! The hotel was very clean and very well maintained. The only reason why this is not a 3 star hotel and the only reason i am giving it anything less than a 5-rating, is because the rooms, furniture and carpets are a bit outdated, they are a bit 80s. […] Nevertheless, everything is very very clean and the rooms even came with sample brand beauty products (axe, icy-hot, etc.). The room was nice,it had everything that it says and then some. They have a view of the ski slope and gondolas that cant be beat. This hotel is centrally located, you can walk to most destinations..ie..Lake,Skiing,shopping,casinos,restaraunts. The only bad thing I can say is that the Mattress on the bed was awful..way to firm ..but there is a hot tub […] waiting in the morning and you dont even have to step out of your room. The room was about par for the price, nothing to bragg about.

While the whole theme is fun to play out and having the big jaccuzzi tub is a definite plus, this hotel lacks attention to detail. Our room had blown out speakers so no music, the jets on the tub did not work and the TV did not have the listed channels including the digital music channels. These areall advertised but not delivered.

If you are looking for a fun hotel, and are willing to sacrifice a little comfort and new amenities I recommend the Fantasy Inn. It is an Adult hotel, with an open jacuzzi and shower in the room, and mirrors about anywhere you would want them. We had a great time and would stay again. The hotel was nice and quiet. It was very clean and would stay there again if given the opportunity.

The name of the hotel caused me to believe that it would be a little raunchy; however, when I looked at the website, the photos of the rooms looked romantic. When we got to the hotel, the rooms were just like the photos - some things were a little worn - such as the tile in the shower, but otherwise everything was great: plenty of hot water, good water […] pressure (to fill jacuzzi bathtub rapidly), windows that actually open to let in fresh air, TV swivels to watch from the bed or the jacuzzi, comfortable beds and pillows - I have a stressful job and this place gave me the rest and relaxation I needed. It is an old hotel that is still in good shape. The perfect place to take your girlfriend, or wife. The Princess room came with a king sized bed, hot tub, and mirrors every where. We had a great time!

The hotel smelled really bad. Our room smelled very musty and the hallways reeked of marijuana. I'm almost positive it was the front desk guy who was smoking. The staff was very rude and unhelpful. None of the TV channels or radio worked in our room. I was very disappointed for the amount of money we paid for this room.

the room was showing some wear but overall was a great stay - got a great deal and enjoyed the experience (stayed in one of the princess rooms) - will be returning :)

Overall it's a nice stay: friendly people, big room, and convenient location. It's only few minute walk away from the Ski Run Marina. A lot of fast-food restaurants in the area.

Truly a couples retreat! We had a wonderful time at the Fantasy Inn...it is just what the "doctor ordered" . Time to relax and enjoy each other without interruption. The rooms are clean and well stocked and the staff is always ready to help. We will definitely be going back. The jacquzzi tub was luscious!

I have always heard about the naughty fantacy inn! Well my hubby wanted to go there for our 1 year anniv... and it wasnt all that exciting. Yes, it had a jacuzzi in the room, yes there was an in room shower... I stayed at a room at the Sands in Reno about 10 years ago that had the same things. We stayed in the Princess room, yes, the cheap one... the […] TV was huge... not in the big screen way, but in the bulky 300lbs way. They dont have radios in the room, and the tv radio thing that has 300 stations of music, well they had to cansel their subscription to it. Luckily my hubbys phone turned our laptop computer into a wifi hotspot and we were able to listen to Pandora. Also, the pillows on the bed were terrible... super thin and no support. This place might have been cool in the 80's, but it is outdated now. Still in great condition, you can tell they work VERY hard to maintain the place, but it needs updates, not just maintanance. Perfect for a romantic and sexy getaway, large room (Princess) with open jacuzzi tub and open shower, lots of mirrors (even on the ceiling), close to ski lift and casinos. Hotel does not serve breakfast but lots of coffee shops and restaurants close-by (coffee-maker in room, though).

Well kept. Service staff very efficient. Mirrors on the walls in the room were fun. Having the hot tub in the room was awesome! Ihop was next door. The room was a great rate.

This was our 2nd time staying at the fantasy inn and we enjoyed our stay a lot. The room was very romantic with a jacuzzi tub and mirrors everywhere...definately great for couples who want to have an intimate and romantic stay!

Stayed here last minute at such a great rate there isnt much to say. It was clean, pretty comfortable. A place i would stay at again. The hot water never ran out & the bathtub was great all hours of the day & night, my only suggestion is do take room #120 right next tot he stairs, not awful. but a room one down might have been a bit more quiet at night […] time . Hotel staff was really friendly, but the selling point is all the mirrors, 3 on the walls and 1 over the bed to be exact. (non-themed room). I have seen things that I didn’t know existed. Hotel is old, looks like there was no renovation for at least 10 years. Very high end amplifiers in the rooms are sign of luxury, but were probably bought in late 80's and now can only get you FM-radio :) No DVD player, very primitive cable box provides couple low quality "adult" movies (20$/each) and very limited selection if "normal" ones (10$/each) On […] the other side, everything one can think of in terms of natural adult pleasures both visual and sensual is there: Mirrors everywhere including ceiling, hot tub large enough for two (with not always working jets) and open showers provide plenty of room for various fantasies. First time here, did not have any high expectations but room (Princess) was their 'basic' room and it was pretty pimp if it was 1977 ha ha... I really enjoyed the jacuzzi hot tub, felt like I was at the Luxor in Vegas. Carpet was super old and I sorta had the feeling that I did not want to sit on any chairs or walk on the carpet due to the 'action'' […] probably took place in this joint. Room did have a dual shower head but I was flying solo on this room stay. At $/night it was a steal. Food delivery to room is available so it was convenient getting a pizza since it was snowing outside. Nice! Parking was easy (in the back) and this is a no fluff motel, easy stay, nothing fancy but a bit exotic if you and your lover want a little funky fun room in Tahoe. Bed was o.k., but sheets were thin and cheap. Brought my own pillow to avoid any germs... ha ha. Hated that I was on floor 1 and near the stairs as it sounded like heard of elephants anytime other guests came and went. Beautiful room. Very clean. Close to casinos and ski resorts.

The room was clean and attractive. It was our anniversary trip and we had a wonderful time. I just loved the sound system in the room and being able to watch TV in the tub or in bed. Lots of mirrors... very helpful to convince you to start that diet or exercise program. Thanks.

Me and my wife stayed at the Fantasy Inn for 2 days/2 nights. We were really looking forward to a couple of nights away without the kids and stayed in the Royal Room. You can tell the place is a little dated but it was definitely clean, particularly the heart shaped jacuzzi tub and the giant 2 person open-air shower which is a good thing! The King-size […] bed was nearly surrounded by mirrors which was pretty cool but the mattress was horribly uncomfortable to sleep on. That is by far my biggest complaint, both of us had horrible back and neck pain after the second night from that mattress. Other than that it was a lot of fun. We wanted to have a getaway where we could hump like a pair of rabbits and the theme room definitely fostered the environment. The mirrors ALL over the place, the big bed, the big jacuzzi tub and shower were just plain old adult fun. We'll definitely be going back although we'll probably take an inflatable mattress for sleeping on next time. Also, there's a Chevy's and IHOP right next to the place so you can take breaks for food. We stayed in the Princess Suite. My first time there. Location was great. Staff was friendly and even let us check in a little early which was nice. Interior is a little older. For the price of what you get in the area, it's a nice place to stay in the price range. Nice experience in the room for a romantic get away. The interior was older and a little worn, as was the bedding, but overall very nice. The bed was a little too hard.There were not enough towels or washrags in the room. The room had a small fridge, a stereo that unfortunately only gets one channel, and a tv (that we didn't use). I would go back and stay again, I would like to try the other theme rooms too. We initially booked one night, but loved it and decided to stay for 2 additional nights.

just ok, bed a little hard but maybe good for my back for one night. only a few things i would address, 1.fix the broken mirrior by bed 2. elevate the refrigerator ,maybe shelf below hangers in closet area? 3. soda machines not working outside room, had to walk 100 miles at 2am, boo hoo. hopefully next experience a little better but for the $$$ for […] one night , throw in a breakfast or something. oh, and the bed was clean but wow it was charged with static electicity that lit the room up in the dark,actually kinda cool. Not good, room carpet very dirty, lacking hand towels to clean up and wash. Personal lacking any pleasure working there, somewhat of a dump to stay at, hallways dirty . would not stay there again not very clean sorry but true. I wish i could get my money back from this hotel what a waste, and a waste of my time and leisure

I read some previous reviews about being charged an excess $250.00. I asked the clerk what that charges were for. He said smoking in the non smoking rooms. That makes sense. I had a wonderful experience! We had the lower priced room. It was very comfortable. Romantic...YES! Location is a plus. I would definitely book here again. I went with my boyfriend and it was pretty entertaining. Overall it's a comfortable with a nice jacuzzi inside. It's overkill but you got to expect cheesy to stay at the Fantasy Inn. All in all it was a humorous/ relaxing experience.

I had read some negative reviews prior to booking with the Fantasy Inn. I had visited the hotel several years before under different ownership and was impressed with the staff so I was surprised with those reviews. I was extremely apprehensive to make the reservations and was thrilled when I got there and found that they were wrong.
