Our stay was a brief overnight stop and it was a good experience. The hotel is in the Warehouse district close to the major attractions including the Riverwalk, the French Quarter and the casinos. The hotel is clean and the concierge is very friendly and knowledgeable. My one complaint is the following: on the morning of our departure our toilet overflowed […] with bubbles, as if we poured dish detergent down the toilet and then flushed it. We alerted the housekeeping person who was on the floor cleaning other rooms, and we took her to show her so she could take the appropriate action. After showing her the bubbles we made to leave the room and she went over to the TV stand and said aloud, "No tip!?" My wife and I were incredulous that she would say that in front of the customer. We stayed one night and did not feel it necessary to tip the housekeeping staff. So, aside from that rude comment, which the front desk staff repeatedly apologized, it was a decent stay. Lisätietoja

It had a unique mix of old french mixed with modern flair. The service was great- everything from doors opened, to room service. It was a short walk to either the bus, the street car or just walking to the french quarter, and the river. It was just far enough out of ear shot so that you didn't feel like bourbon street followed you "home". I felt safe […] in both day and night. The hotel was awesome. Only draw back, and this is the reason for the 4 out of 5 stars, was that there was black curly hairs in the bathroom and we had just got there so they were not ours. :-/. Other than that it was amazing. We will definitely be going back soon.

The concierge was actually available and of great help to us - his recomm. made our stay excellent. Only minor complaint is that the drain in the tub was a little slow. They offered to come up and fix it but we needed to get ready quickly and told them they could work on it after we left - we were only there for 3 nights.

Loews has changed their pet policy to be predatory and have changed the policy over the past few years from a welcoming $0 to a non refundable deposit of $100 and $25 per night. Perhaps one of their managers received a bonus for turning pets into a profit center, but they are losing a long time customer.....and his pet. GC

The staff of the hotel was generally very good and personable, making you feel welcome, being efficient, but human. The room was very nice, the bathroom rather old and drab. The location was uninteresting, but generally quiet. I had worked very late one night and asked for a quick meal from room service who promised a quick turnaround and then literally […] lost the order. I finally had to cancel at 1 AM and go to sleep. This hotel has great service, rooms are lovely and it's a great location but...in this day in age, wifi should be free in your rooms. The free wifi in the lobby was terrible and to us girls from Australia, we need this to stay in touch with family and friends. We have stayed in all styles of hotels on our USA driving trip and all of them offered free […] wifi and complimentary breakfast. Perfect location for convention, and still close to tourist area for eating, shopping, gallery strolls. Walking distance to everything. Clean and comfortable rooms, although overall still corporate and standard decor without particular flare.

Very good hotel and convientent to the French Quarter. Clean and professional. The only negative comments I have are 1) The internet is not free...other similar hotels offer free Wi-Fi; and 2) There are no in-room refrigerators.

Very pleased, got a good deal from Hotels.com and cancelled a separate hotel reservation elsewhere and booked on Hotels.com due to great sale. Hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly in bar, restraunt, doorman, etc. Did use the Swizzle Stick Bar a couple of times, great drinks, nice atmosphere. Had dinner in Adelaides Cafe and […] it was the best meal of the trip and middle of cost range of 4 separate $150+ meals, this was by far the best. Great restraunt manager or Matre D, John. Don"t let the info on line fool you.$29 a day and an additional $6 each time you need your car.Rooms were half the size than shown and the beds were like sleeping on rocks. No fountain but you can get a bottle of water for $6.We will never stay yhere again.

RThe hotel was nice looking from the outside in but I found the rooms especially the bathrooms to be dirty. We had to call for special clean up. This is definitely not a 4 starhotel and certainly not worth $350+ a night.

Terrible valet service. Our rim was scratched during our stay at Loew's. Because we left the hotel before inspecting our vehicle the claim was not paid by the hotel. The irony is that we showed the valet attendant our rims and had him inspect them upon arrival. We pointed out that they were brand new to take extra care not to hit curbs. After leaving […] the hotel and stopping for gas we noticed the scratches and went back immediately. Funny thing is the claim ticket showed all 4 rims were scratched, when in fact upon inspection with management only 1 was scratched. An explanation for this could never be given to us. My guess is that they do this not to except liability. The claim ticket noting this was never written in front of us either. Hard lesson to learn. Have claim ticket written in front of you and inspect car before every leaving premises. The management didn't even return our call. I had to follow up and upon there "review" we were sent a letter. Stayed here for 3 nights in April. I felt we had made a great choice with both the Loews name & of course the location. WRONG!! Upon check-in, we had to move from our first room due to such a musty smell that was bothersome. Very disappointed in the worn looks of the rooms. They definitely need to be upgraded. The carpet was dirty looking, fabric on […] the furniture was very worn, & the overall decor was not impressive.The ice machine on our floor was broken, so we had to go to another floor. We were never given a key to the mini bar until we called the front desk about how to get into it. We had to find other dining options outside the hotel each morning because ONLY a breakfast buffet was being served in the restaurant because of several conferences going on in the hotel. We were not allowed to order from the menu even though we weren't a part of these groups which I find very inconvient for all the other guests such as us, especially when it was pouring down rain outside! The so called Balance spa was a joke. Several treatment rooms in a hallway with an office atmosphere with two office style chairs and a small table with water, & tea was the waiting area. The entire spa is an L-shaped hallway. There was zero spa atmosphere! I think the Loews hotel in New Orleans need to totally rethink this place. We were both extremely disapointed in this hotel. They have a lot of hidden charges. Mandatory valet parking is $39 per night. Wi-fi is $12.95. I think even those who could afford it don't appreciate surprise nickel and dime charges for everything.

The Lowes Hotel has a great location, the restaurant and bar were great as well. We loved the bed linens and temp control in our room. The housekeeping was not very good about replenishing our bar and coffee supply, but other than that is was perfect. The hotel is wonderful, clean, employees excellent. The only issue is I felt that the coffee in the room was a little high at $1.00 per cup. Then they charge for local calls and $12.95 a day for internet. The Loews has always been a great balance between cost and quality. I stay here frequently and will continue to do so. The only negative is you need to be aware of the excessive rates to park a car. It is over $30 a night to park a car. This is not unusual for New Orleans, but it is unusually high.

We stayed at Loews hotel for 6 nights during Mardi gras 2013 and had a great stay! The concierge is so polite and knowledgable. It's just a minute or so walk from canal street and only a few more minutes to the french quarter. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. For the rates that were charged the experience was less than impressive. The staff rushed you in and rushed you out. The cable provided was very low quality, they did not even provide a music channel, it cost extra. The pool closed early. The hotel doesn't allow for stay extension if you decided to stay longer. I will first say that the hotel staff was great. They were extremely courteous and accomodating. I gave this hotel a below average rating on cleanliness and upkeep. My room had dirty carpets, and that alone just made it feel "unclean" by my standards of a hotel that averages as a 4-star. Overall the hotel was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable, just a little underwhelming even though I had a deluxe room. We found the decor in the room boring. The room did have a nice view, which is uncommon in New Orleans. The staff were exceptional! Always pleasant and helpful - from valet to bellmen, front desk, wait staff and bartenders. […] The bar was nice, never over crowded but never empty; they made a good drink and never seemed inconvenienced by any of our requests. We had dinner there the first night and it was delicious! Breakfast at the Cafe was good, but we were confused by the decor - too many different themes and they decorated with balloons...like a child's birthday party...but when we asked we were told that was just the decor no special event. The valet and bellmen were very nice; always making conversation, quick with a smile or joke. I never touched a door, hailed a cab or lifted a piece of luggage. Our stay was very pleasant....the road in front of the hotel was closed temporarily due to a marathon but the staff did all that they could to keep customers happy! I would definitely stay here again.

I loved my trip! The Loews New Orleans Hotel was wonderful! I had terrific service from the desk clerks to the maid service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I needed my boarding pass printed. Excellent Hotel. Our room was huge dna had a great view of the river. The Hotel staff was some of the friendliest I have encountered in New Orleans and I stay there alot!! Would recommend this Hotel to anyone.

I requested a fridge prior to my stay and it was not provided upon my arrival. I had to call twice about it and the second call, the staff member was rude. Beautiful hotel...walking distance to everything...friendly staff. Only downside, nothing is free. I couldn't even make a cup of coffee in my room without being charged for it. That being said, I would stay there again.
