Barcelo Dominican Beach - All Inclusive - Punta Cana

Hotel is nice with their 8 restaurants. Allthought one of us got food poisoning from one of the buffets. Restaurants are nicely decorated but it can be seen that all portions comes from one kitchen. There was a lot of entertaiment from morning to night. Downside was location of hotel or entire resort area. There are only these hotels but not so much […] local life. We are a little bit active people so it would have been nice to see more stuff outside hotel. For sun bathing and relaxing vacation this place is perfect. Hotel staff does not speake good English. Pillows in room smelt disgusting. Air conditioning failed to work or be repaired after reporting it 8 hours earlier. Poor customer service - staff showed no job satisfaction. The colour came of the bottom of the pool and stained your skin. Food was sub-standard. Golf carts being driven around at speed - no lights at night.

Really bad place with salamander in our room and on the bathroom.

My second time visiting Barcelo Dominican Fiesta, next time will do the same, my family and I like it very much, specially the shows at night, the staff is great the enterteiment is absolutely wonderful. Theres 's not place like it.

The service at the hotel starting at the front desc was very very bad. They couldnt find my reservation even with my confirmation number..the food was such low quality.it was nasty ,greasy and disgusting.the restaurant service was bad.its not worth the money.you could get somethen better for ur $$.

First they needed a voucher for hotel stay from company I purchased room from. I told her I did it over the phone. She says I see it here on the system but still need print out..ok??? It took 20 mins for them to let me use computer to access my email because their printer was broken. The room was muggy and damp. My clothes were damp when I got back. […] The food was horrible and its not all inclusive because they close main dining area down from 3 to 630! And the snack bar was only place open with just pizza! The property is nice and the beach is beautiful. The men there are very handsome and catered to me 100% so that made up for the bad things. make sure you get a room in a renovated building and then you'll be fine. block 7 is old and ugly, block 10 brand new with good rooms. its a good choice for a short stay. dont expect too much about the food. the quality is rather poor. rooms ok, beach nice and close from the buildings, entertainment ok, food not very good but ok for a couple of days. […] great price for what you get. Most of the hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were decent nothing fancy basically we got what we paid for BUT on the third night several roaches were spotted which was disgusting and surprising since the rooms appeared to be pretty clean. The food was fair to poor.... skip all of the restaurants on the resort EXCEPT of the Japanese […] Steak House which was delicious but be sure to make reservations in advance which is NOT made clear. Also, at lunch time the grill by the Bucerno (sp?) is a really great alternative, offering steak, and other tasty food. Another tip is to check out the scheduled activities offered daily there are lots to choose from but the staff doesn't exactly tell you about them. Lastly do take advantage of the excursions offered (different price ranges for every budget) they really made my trip!!! Lisätietoja

IF YOUR LOOKING FOR TOP NOTCH LOOK ELESWERE.I WAS LOOKING FOR SUN -FOOD AND DECEND FOOD.PEOPLE ARE NICE SOMETIMES A LITTLE SLOW BUT HEY YOUR ON VAC.THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO FOR A NICE CHEAP VAC.OH AND THE WATER PRESURE IS A PROBLEM SOMETIMES-VERY WEAK .I WOULD GO BACK HAD A GOOD TIME.CHECK OUT THE BUFFET NEAR THE BACK SAME FOOD LESS CROWDED HAVE FUN

Room need some refurbisment but all together they were nice enough for the price you pay. Food in a buffet was delicious but do not go to all restaurants, especially mexican and spanish. It seems that they cook a food in the morning and only heat it up for dinner. Cocktails weren't nice so if you like beer stick to it. Excellent!! great attention everything clean and neat and everybody was very friendly and kind. Food was great and the weather was very pleasent the 3 days that we stayed there., the beach was beautiful.

our start into those days in the dominican beach resort were a bit frustrating because we arrived with a bus from santo domingo which lets you out right in front of that big BARCELO entrance (where all four properties of barcelo are listed above the entrance!!) so we went to the security gate so that we could be let in, they let me call reservations […] because they didnt speak english... after hanging up on me twice after saying hold on and letting it ring for 5 minutes i got angry. i called again furiously and told them they should let me go in to the reception or something so that i can talk to a person face to face, but they said they can't let me in because they don't have my reservation (i told them that i was at the beach hotel!), but i could make a new one if i wanted to! finally a security guard drove in with us to talk to a receptionist... we told him that this was not our hotel and we were at the dominican beach hotel... i didn't have my confirmation papers printed out so i went to the business center to do so (everything was written on that paper - address and name of our hotel, number of guest, confirmation number etc...) and we gave the paper to yet another receptionist - they told us they would call in the other hotel, but they didnt have our reservation either... it took us 2 hours from getting out of the bus till being in our actual hotel!! because finally one of the receptionists told us that we have to take a taxi to our hotel... we did know the whole entire time that our hotel was not on this premise, because all the properties of barcelo were at the front gate... so we paid another 15 dollars to get to our actual hotel - and guess what: they had our reservation!! incredible (so the receptionists from the other hotel never called our hotel!) the front desk employee let us fill out a form and then didn't come back for 15 minutes and when i asked if they called from the other hotel to ask about our reservation he simply said: maybe they did, maybe they Lisätietoja

In more than 700 rooms on site, I think we were the only Americans. Not a problem except that much of the staff speaks little or no English and the buffets are not targeting a US audience. For example, at breakfast, sometimes no butter or margarine, and no jelly or honey. The serving staff for custom omelettes makes greasy eggs similar to a diner. The […] custom food stations were frequently understaffed, creating long lines. The fitness room should have been redone years ago. Ripped up dirty carpet and rusting free weights accompany two treadmills...for 700 rooms! Our bathroom door was bent by several inches where someone had kicked it in. To shower, we had a choice of hot water or water pressure, but not both. With so many other all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana, I'd pass on this one. Lisätietoja

Accomodations are great. You are in Punta Cana, so don´t expect greats surroundings here! This is a hotel where you come to stay and rest or to make some small programmed tours (I don´t recomend to go over there by yourself). About the hotel... great acomodation. But could be better. It was located on a nice beach and the food was great with numerous restuarants on site with different options. The beach bar was packed and everyone was dancing on the sand with a DJ playing music. This was what I was expecting from a carribean resort. Wi Fi is available for $10 a night. They also had shows and great service at the front desk. The room was clean, but we had some issues with the clean towels and the hot water. The food was great and they have a very friendly staff. We had a great time for the money spent.

I like this Hotel, the peoples in general are very friendly and the food is very good.

GREAT ROOM FOR THE MONEY.

If u dont care about luxury and the best rooms u can go to this hotel, if u are looking for go to theb each and pool and food is ok

I had to switch rooms on the first night room was not ready then they rushed and gave me a dirty room. I was then nicely upgraded to a suite which was alot better. The chech in process is very slow and we could never get a reservation for the Japanese resturant on site but the Italian one was okay. Beach party was really nice and staff was very fri […] endly. 1) LA COMIDA: Poca variedad en las comidas y para colmo hay que hacer filas porque los dispensadores no estan bien distribuidos, tienen 7 restaurantes de los cuales al medio dia solo esta disponible el tipo bufet, las atenciones por parte de los empleados en este restaurante es pesima. En LA CENA la cosa mejora (en los otros restaurantes), ya que los […] restaurantes a la carta son muy buenos, incluidas las atenciones de los empleados, es como si al entrar a un restaurante a la carta estuvieras en otro Hotel, ya que las atenciones son totalmente diferentes. 2)LAS HABITACIONES: La edificacion esta bien, pero la limpiezas en las mismas es PESIMA, en nuestra habitacion hasta cucarachas aparecieron, los cubre-camas y las toallas del bano estaban viejos, parecian de un hotel de mala muerte, a diferencia de las sabanas que estaban en perfecto estado, pero las sabanas tenian MAL OLOR, a que se mojaron y no la secaron bien, este problema de las sabanas nos paso el primer dia, reclamamos y a las 3 horas fue que las cambiaron, pero papra colmo al otro dia cuando la muchacha de limpieza cambio las sabanas de nuevo, les puso otras que estaban en las mismas condiciones que las del dia anterior, con MAL OLOR A ROPA MOJADA. 3) EN SENTIDO GENERAL no volveria a este hotel. Dette hotel er kæmpe stort, og slet slet ikke i overensstemmelse med, hvad billederne fra deres hjemmeside viser. Der er konstant lokalt musik i højtalere langs stierne på området ( der er meget normalt på hotellerne, men det her var inaverende og højt ). Buffeten til frokosten var mildest talt uspiselig og uappetitlig - det samme var gældende for aftens […] maden og morgenmaden. Dette er sammenholdt med denne kædes søster hotel, også beliggende i Bavaro, nemlig Barcelo Bavaro Beach adults only. Og morgenmaden på The Puntacana Hotel. Det var meningen at vi skulle have overnattet på dette hotel i 6 nætter, efter at have boet 6 nætter på The Puntacana Hotel ( som vi var MEGET tilfredse med ) - men er man til afslapning og stilhed er dette ikke stedet at booke. Vi valgte derfor at flytte hotel efter en nat og kom over på Barcelo Bavaro Beach - som helt og aldeles levede op til vores ønsker. Det er sikkert ok til familier, unge der skal feste osv. men ikke til jer der vil slappe af og have ferie. Det var et stort cirkus og alt andet en afslapning. Maravilloso... es poco, sobre todo por la calidad y calidez de quienes trabajan en él. Pasamos unos días espectaculares y lo recomendamos totalmente pues es para descansar y gozar de sus instalaciones, playas, todo!

Excelente la atención y el servicio en comedores y bares. La habitación Junior Suit muy confortable con yacuzi, balcón, buen baño y el aire acondicionado se puede controlar. Hay servicio de internet. En general muy agradable y recomendable la estancia en Barcelo Dominican Beach.

You get what you pay for.. Good staff in the restaurants, but terrible people behind the reception. They did not take me seriously.

Quedamos encantadas con este hotel. El servicio y amabilidad de su gente me parecieron increíbles. Ya había escuchado que El equipo de animacion era muy bueno pero se quedaron cortos....son excelentes!!!!! Seguro volveremos pero por mas tiempo!

Estivemos uma semana no hotel com nossos filhos (6 e 8 anos). Em geral, tivemos uma boa impressão do ambiente: quarto (junior suite), localização (em frente a praia) e atrações (piscinas, jogos). Tivemos, no entanto, alguns problemas no check-in (o quarto com a característica que reservamos não estava disponível). Reserve una junior suite por la oferta que tenia Holes.com a la llegada nos informaron que teniamos chek in exclusivo nos llevaron tragito de Bienvenida, nos fuimo a las habitaciones como mi hija lleva su bebe le tenian una cuna instalada, a mi hijo que le cambiaron la habitacion porque queria una cama King y todo con mucha gentileza de quien nos recepciono. Las […] Habitaciones eran comodas y grandes, el hotel es bonito y en general bien cuidado. Los restoranes buenos, solo el brasileño Malo Malo. bien atendidos y como andabamos con un bebe y una pequeña siempre estaban muy atentos para traernos las sillas de bebe. Hotel muito agradavel, porém o teto do banheiro estava com infiltração e não era só no meu quarto, outros hospedes tb tiveram problemas com isso. A limpeza e o conforto do quarto era boa, a comida bem variada, o atendimento satisfatório, contudo os restaurantes opcionais eram de dificil acesso.Eu recomendaria para outras pessoas.

pedi para trocar de quarto pois o mesmo era horrivel, o ar não gelava, a cama estava suja, o colchão era uma canoa, por fim a decoração velha e de mau gosto. fomos atendidos prontamente. o que não resolveu quase nada pois o outro apresentou mesmos probles, acabei achando que o ar era assim mesmo e não gelava, dormimos com a porta da sacada aberta, porem […] no outro dia perguntei pro vizinho e ele disse que o ar dele gelava. aí pedi para arrumarem meu ar, aí ficou bom, mas o colchão.....
