I was really unhappy that they put me in a room below ground level as a single woman. I was kept hearing people coming and going through the outside door near my room which woke me up. I was terrified someone would kick inthe window to my room.
"Location & Free Breakfast"
The hotel is in a good location - easy access off the highway. Convenient to shopping at West Acres Mall and all Big Box Free Standing Stores. The free breakfast doesn't have much in the way of "healthy" food. Some yogourt would be nice instead of all the donuts & waffles.

I booked through hotels.com, so it was paid in advance, but for some reason they held the price of the room on my card. They also held and additional fee (double the room rate) as a damage deposit, due to it being a suite. So that was a lot of money to hold on my card for a room that was paid in advance. It took 4 business days for the holds to come […] off. The lobby is adjacent to the pool and smelled like rotten funk. The coffee in the lobby tasted like the lobby smelled, even though it said fresh 24 hours. I needed to iron a shirt and apparently the only iron there was at the office, instead of the room. The ironing board was one of those 2 foot long dorm room types. The room was far enough away from the lobby that it didn't smell, though. Not many furnishings, only 2 dining room type chairs and one lounge chair, but I was by myself, so didn't need much seating. If my family had been with me, it would have been a problem. Overall, it was okay for the price. If they a little money on amenities like furniture, fresh coffee in the lobby, de-funking the lobby and ironing equipment in the rooms would likely get me to go back. Lisätietoja

"Not bad for price"
Good area, close to the mall, reasonable price...not fancy but does the job if you need a bed.

Not a bad hotel. Nothing real fancy. but when all your going to do there is sleep, you can't beat the price.

Average hotel for a budget price, close to 13th Avenue where all the shopping, resaturants and action is. Free breakfast if you desire.

"Basic but conveniently located"
We booked this hotel primarily as a stopping point on our route. Located just off of the highway (I29) and in close proximity to restaurants, it suited us perfectly. The price was very reasonable as well. The room was very basic with a Queen sized bed and only 2 flat pillows. It was somewhat outdated and looked cheap, which it was. There was a coffee […] maker and TV as well as a recliner but no night stands next to the bed. Breakfast in the lobby was self serve with options of cold cereal, juice, toast, bagels, donuts, waffles and a few types of fruit. The coffee was undrinkable - better in the room. It wasn't a very comfortable stay but for one night it sufficed. The attendant was not very friendly or welcoming and we were in a lower level room able to hear movement of other guests above us but it was quiet at night. Motel is in dire need of updating. Carpeting was old, pictures on the wall looked like they were from the 1970's, the fabric on the chair in our room was stained and nasty looking (can't imagine anyone would ever want to sit on it), old tv on a wobbly stand, the non-slip mat in the tub was peeling up...need I go on. Noisy guests in room above ALL NIGHT, […] sounded like they were purposely holding things above their heads and throwing them on the floor by the sound of the thumps! "nice place to stay"
hotel was just off a service road so not much traffic. easy to get to and from. we were in a queen suite (not in main building) so we basically had the pool/ hot tub to ourselves. very quiet and clean. was nice to have a place like this to come back to after a busy day shopping and buzzin around town. front desk was great! only negative is that the […] room we were in was not updated. but we enjoyed our stay regardless. The room was a little small but we were only there overnight so it was fine. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable and also clean. The pool was very small tho and they could have a better continental breakfast in the mornings. "13th Ave in Fargo"
I will never again pay that much money for a room that does not even have a fridge or a microwave. The beds and pillows were comfortable and I will end on that positive note.

The hotel was quite disgusting to say the least. It is in desprite need of a remodel. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was the smell, secondly when I asked the front desk rep if the bedding was changed out between guest I was told "Well geez I don't know, I will find out and let you know". The hotel overall wasn't a horrible place to stay. My husband and I decided last minute to take a short trip, so for something so last minute, it wasn't bad. The front desk manager wasn't that friendly, and seemed annoyed when we checked in. The building wasn't in the greatest of neighborhoods, but it was easy access to the local shopping. Being that […] it was such last minute, we failed to check out events going on in the area, and it just so happened that there was a huge hockey tournament going on, and they decided to stay at this location. They were all really loud, and when I called the front desk, they pretty much told me to deal with it. If you are simply looking for a place to lay your head, than this will do just fine. "Decent value"
Decent value when shopping online. Good breakfast; convenient location, and they offer free Internet service.
It was fine for the price, the room was clean and the breakfast ok.the hot tub wasn't working which we were looking forward to.
While this is not a luxury hotel, it was just what we needed--reasonably priced, clean, courteous staff, limited but adequate breakfast! Will stay there again if we are in the area.

"Needs upgrading"
Stayed at Double Tree in Minneapolis the night before for 2.00 more a night and it was like day and night. Super 8 has to upgrade the rooms. Requested a non-smoking room and gave us a smoking room that stunk. Would not stay there again or recomend to anyone.Pay the extra price and get a nice room.

we recently stayed there for the black friday weekend..the hotel was great-the location was right close to the STORES..THEY EVEN STARTED THE BREAKFAST BUFFET EARLY FOR FRIDAY SHOPPERS..WILL DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN
"Super 8 in Fargo off Hwy 29"
This hotel was satisfactory and adequate. Nothing spectacular to write home about, but nothing horrific either. It's a hotel by the highway that is convenient and clean and easy to work with. They accept pets and that worked out well.

Small pool. Best oranges I have had in a while on the breakfast bar. Easy on and off location. The room and quality of the hotel were good enough for what I needed that night.
We checked in and checked out 5 minutes later. Hotel was disgusting and ended up paying for another hotel that night.

The air conditioner didn't work when I got there (it miraculously turned on that night). The bathroom sink was basically plugged. It was not in very good shape.
"ground floor /wet floors"
ground floor is up 6 steps - not great for those with limited mobility. WET floors in lobby at checkout time! My friend fell. Be glad it wasn't me with a NEW hip replacement.

This hotel is HORRIBLE. Worst one so far that we've stayed at in Fargo. bad location. The first room they gave us smellt SO bad, like it was in the basement, and it smellt like someone had peed in the entire room, we walked in and almost threw up from the stench!! so we went back to the front desk, and the girl instantly knew why we were asking for […] a new room, like hello, why do your rooms smell like pee. . she was not friendly at all. "No frills and inexpensive"
Got a great rate through hotels.com so I wasn't expecting a five star luxurious hotel. We got what we paid for and then some in my opinion - a clean room with air conditioning & TV, friendly service, a decent continental breakfast complete with waffle maker, close proximity to all the shopping (we came in from Canada to shop shop shop), and the complimentary […] wi-fi was a huge plus given that we get killed in roaming charges if we keep our phones on all the time. "Don't accept a basement room!"
We were given a bottom floor room that smelled like urine and were given another bottom floor room that smelled and felt like a rain forest. The night clerk was patient with us but the day clerk was less than pleasant.

For the price the hotel was good. It was a little noisy the first night. Booked in the hotel was a large youth wrestling team and they were running the halls until 3:30 am.

The room smell was very bad. We wanted a none smoking, and they put us in a smoking room. I have been in smoking rooms before and never that bad.

Pool was ok, kind of dirty, Hot tub was very dirty would not go in. Room was to be expected, not fancy, fridge did not work all that well and tv needs to be updated. Air conditioner was very old also. Overall I got what I expected but have stayed in better for the same price or less
"Super 8 Fargo on Interstate Road"
When we arrived, first impression was Oh no, where are we staying.... Regretted cheaping out. THe hotel was pretty near full, not sure how, other than I guess price. The first room we were given was in the main building on the bottom floor, which is partially below grade. It REEKED. It smelled so heavily of must that I had to call front desk. The girl […] offered to come spray it with Febreeze. I said um, no... And she offered to move us to a suite, as the rest of the regular rooms were full. So we moved to the back building, into a suite- yes a "suite" but dont get excited. It's a Super 8 "suite". Its quite a dumpy hotel. The only good thing I can say about it was the sheets and bed were comfortable. I guess, really, that's all that matters when you are just staying one night on a layover, but dang, I dont think I'll be cheaping out again! The place was scary. Course, I just came from a resort in Vegas and a super nice, new modern hotel in Denver, so this one didn't have much of a chance against those.
