Great pricing on Hotels.com, STELLAR customer service from morning to night shifts. Everyone was very helpful and happy to help. There was a group of soccer kids in town so having them on the 3rd floor was not ideal as we were on 2nd and woke up EARLY to them running/jumping in the room(s) above us. We relaxed in the hot tub both nights and had it to […] ourselves which was much appreciated. We walked to Logans RoadHouse for the play off games and had a good time. The hotel gave us a 10% off discount and the service at Logans was great as well. Would recommend the property for an economical visit to the area. Very nice hotel. I'd stay there again.

We ordered non-smoking and were placed in a smoking room. Clerk claimed this is what we ordered. We notified them upon arrival, they said they would call if they could switch us. When we called that afternoon clerk told us we should have said something earlier and we were stuck. Hotels.com operator called the hotel and they yelled at her saying the […] mess was my fault. If you are looking to have a complete hotel experience, i.e. decent breakfast, ability to use the exercise facility this is not the hotel to choose. The exercise facility (if you want to call it that) had the most ancient equipment I have ever seen. It almost looked dangerous. There were no cups for water so after a risky workout don't expect to be […] hydrated. Breakfast was an interesting experience with stale cereal and cardboard toast. This is a nice hotel for business people. The TV channels were not suitable for children. The staff was tolerable but not overly friendly or kind to the children.

My husband and I booked last-minute reservations at this hotel when we got rained out of camping in Yosemite and decided to visit family. We really liked that it was close to the freeway and that there were several stores and restaurants nearby, so we were able to walk around and keep ourselves entertained. Our room and bathroom were spacious and nice. […] We had wireless internet, which was great since both of us had our laptops with us, but unfortunately the internet connection was extremely slow. We were really disappointed with it, since we planned to catch up on some TV online, and streaming was a bit limited for certain websites. Other than that, we liked this hotel a lot. The continental breakfast was definitely above average. It had a good amount of variety and everything was fresh. Overall, it was a good stay. It might just be that the room we stayed in was next to an electrical room, which could have affected our internet connection. I would definitely give it another chance if we visit Elk Grove again. Holiday Inn Express is right across the street from the more expensive Hilton Garden Inn, and we're really glad we decided to save $$ and stay at Holiday Inn! We checked in in the evening and then walked right back out the door to check out the commercial plaza it is in, which included a sandwich shop, a Baskin-Robbins for ice cream and coffee, and […] a restauraunt/bar that had live music. Free coffee/tea/cocoa in the lobby 24 hrs, and a great free breakfast including scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, a mini-fridge with hard-boiled eggs, an assortment of yogurts, and milk boxes to add to the various cereals on offer, plus some delicious cinnamon rolls and the usual muffins, toasts and juices. All staff from front desk to cleaning staff was smiley and friendly, the beds and room were comfortable, the microwave and mini-fridge in the room were useful, plus the free wi-fi in the room had a fast connection. I was a little bummed that there was an overlooked spot of gunk on our wall by the mirror (maybe hair gel?), but if we had been staying longer than one night I would have mentioned it to staff and I feel like it would have been cleaned up right away and all handled in an agreeable manner. The hotel was quite nice and the buffet breakfast included was good but the deskclerk was not very pleasant at check in to the point that I had to refrain from telling her that she was being rude. We also had to wait awhile as a gentleman ahead of us was trying to check in and pay cash and she was having a problem with that.

Nice hotel - very easy freeway access

The hotel lobby and the hotel room were very clean. The free breakfast was good. The hotel charges more than other hotels in the area but it is worth it.

This was a good size room with a very comfortable lounge chair and ottoman.
