My stay with Country Hearth Inn went well. I now realize that they have a variety of bed mattresses to choose from, so upon arrival, I asked for a different room with a softer mattress than what was in the original room. They were gracious about the change and all was well. In the future, ask up-front for the type of mattress that you desire.

Just a block and a half from 101, but not in a very busy part of the city. Small hotel within walking distance of the Presidio grounds and Cow Hollow and Marina restaurants/shops. Rooms are dated, and in need or a facelift or even remodel, but they were clean. Our room was straight off the driveway, so we did hear street noise. Room had an 'Evergreen' […] air freshener/fan which helped as white noise to drown out the traffic noises. Staff friendly and helpful. However, the Blankets had holes, the sheets had tears, the fan in the bathroom was so loud it was unbelievable! The outside noise ( sounds like a generator starting up periodically) was annoying.

I was happy with it all. Right next to the park for running, close to shops and restaurants for the experience. Parking provided yet no need for a car. Why stay at an expensive less convenient place. I'd stay here again. I think booking well ahead might get a cheaper price though...

Dont take a car to San Francisco, the parking is terrible, and there are only about 10 car spots at the hotel. The bed is very uncomfortable and the housekeeper took our towels but didn't replace them, leaving us with no towels. The breakfast consists of juice and a croissant which you have to take back to your room to eat. The person at the desk told […] us to catch a bus to Fishermans wharf, we waited an hour an no bus showed, so we ended up downing $20 on a cab everytime we went to Fishermans Wharf and back Lisätietoja

The Country Hearth was a great place for us to stay since we really were just looking for somewhere to sleep/shower/change clothes. It was a good value and on a quiet enough street. Only 6 parking spaces so if that's important, get there early. Coffee/Danish for breakfast was adequate. It's a non smoking hotel that is nice but the first room they gave […] me was stinky. They changed me but I was there early so it was an easy change. They have filtered water at the sink and shower that was appreciated. The lobby smells. My room was filthy. Parking is horrible. I have been staying here every year at the same time and everytime it's getting worse. I should have learned my lesson.

If you like to deal with parking on the street and a bed that is harder than the floor, this hotel is for you.

This is a very reasonable hotel in SF. Its in a great location near the Presidio and the Golden Gate Park etc. They do have 7-8 spaces of parking on a first come first serve basis and we used it one of the two nights there. This was within walking distance to many places to eat and drink. The neighborhood is safe, right on the line between the Marina and Cow Hollow neighborhoods. This is an old, but updated hotel, clean and the beds were comfortable. The next morning we walked down to the Marina and ran right next to the Bay. I would stay here again.

Love this place! For the price, you really can't ask for much more. There is a limited parking issue. But, if you go there, knowing that you will need to find street parking now and then, everything else is great. As a matter of fact, one morning, the front desk called me at the crack of dawn to offer squeezing our car into the lot from the street, […] just so we wouldn't get a ticket since it was street-cleaning day. Very nice. The reception staff was friendly and accommodating. I have a bad back and was worried that the beds would be too soft. No! Perfect! Not too hard, not too soft. The room was clean and the shower had good pressure with plenty of hot water. We loved being in a quiet part of town. It was a lovely retreat from the hustle-bustle of the City . Plenty of buses to get you around and the Exploratorium is within a stone's throw, so you can walk. The presidio is right next door and a charming place to walk around in. A Starbucks is right in one of the Presidio building nearby and it makes for a lovely morning walk for coffee. There is a yummy pizza place and a great sandwich shop(liquor/deli) just next door. It was quiet and clean, although the walls were thin. It's off the main part of Lombard and so is pretty quiet. Walking distance to a couple good restaurants (and DON'T go to the Original Wings burger place--the WORST food I've had in quite a while). The parking lot is small but we got a space for a compact. A large car might have trouble.

hotel très éloigné des centres d'intérêts. Très bruyant et "rudimentaire". bon accueil. Petit déjeuner très moyen.

Bon service sauf le déjeuner sommaire et à amener dans sa chambre, mais cela semble la règle ! Motel classique, chambres sombres. Un peu éloigné du centre et la nuit c'est la galère avec les bus, il faut bien calculer à ne pas avoir de correspondance. La journée parfait 1/2 h en bus pour le centre

El desayuno es pésimo. Si quieres tomar leche te lo dan en los botecitos esos enanos. Y tienes que cogerlo y llevártelo a la habitación ya que el lugar en el que se encuentra es minúsculo y no hay mesas. Aunque al menos hay desayuno. La situación es muy buena, se encuentra cerca de Golden Gate (hay un bus que te lleva hasta allí) y los buses te llevan […] a todas partes. Además hay una pizzería buenísima justo al lado y algún que otro restaurante. Algo malo es que si te quedas varios días y quieres un bono para varios días tienes que ir al centro a buscarlo y siendo nuevo en la ciudad es un poco complicado. La habitación estaba limpia. La habitación en sí no me parecía muy segura ya que daba directamente a la calle pero no tuvimos ningún problema ningún día. Se escuchan las personas de las otras habitaciones... Fiese Flecken auf der Tagesdecke, fleckige, alte Handtücher, gelbliche Bettwäsche, Teppich dreckig.
