Apollo Park Executive Suites - Colorado Springs

Apollo Park was different than other hotels where I have stayed in the past. It was a quiet and well kept place that was close to everything. The rooms are set up like apartments and have full kitchens. Everything is very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I won't stay anywhere else when I am in Colorado Springs!

To call this place "executive suites" is a possible misnomer. It is an older (probably 1970's/80's) apartment complex that has been turned into a hotel (and longer term rentals). It is basic, but we found it perfect for our needs. The outside could use a makeover. Inside was simple, but clean-- with a nice bed, and well set up kitchen. You will not […] find a flat screen TV nor granite countertops here-- but the price reflects that. The location might leave a bit to be desired for some-- convenient to the highway, but in an older neighborhood, with nothing within walking distance. But it is a short drive (10 minutes) to downtown. So-- overall, I'd give this a 3.5---- don't expect fancy, but expect a really decent, comfortable place----a suite for sure, since it is an apartment with separate living and sleeping space with a full size stove/ oven fridge etc. No dishwasher though, if that matters to some. My stay at the Apollo Park Executive Suites was not only an amazing value, but the staff was extremely friendly/helpful, the room and surrounding areas were very clean and well maintaied and the location more was than convenient! I stayed overnight while work was being completed on my floors. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the room to be clean and comfortable. Even though the complex is an older property, Apollo Park offered everything that I needed for a comfortable stay. I loved staying here. It was more like a 1 bedroom apartment than a hotel. You had all the amenities you wanted and a ton of t.v. channels to choose from. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at Apollo Park before and always enjoy my stay. My room was clean and my bed was comfortable. The room had a kitchen which I found very convenient. The staff was friendly and really seemed to care about the guests. The property is quiet and has a great view of the golf course next door. I always feel at home at Apollo Park!

This company appears to have taken ownership of a former college apartment complex (or perhaps former low income apartments). The result is an apartment complex of tired, run down units. The hallways reek of cigarettes and something possibly rotten. The place is advertised as smoke free, but since management allows people to sit on the landing of the […] external stairway smoking (with hallway doors open), forcing patrons to walk through clouds of smoke entering or leaving the building, it hardly meets the requirements of being smoke free. If you like a retro feel, come stay here! It's like going back in time into the late 70's- avocado color stove- old style TV ( it actually had a remote, but didn't work). Office is hard to find to check in, ended up finding this by this guy drinking a beer outside what looked like a check in office- ended up being the office- this guy gave us our key […] to our room. If I had to choose between my car and the hotel, I would choose my car providing the seat reclined. This isn't a hotel, it is an old apartment building that rents vacant units. Good concept, if the property was staffed, and 20 years newer. Beds are horrible, no personel to help, and the bathrooms are clean but small. I have stayed here several times and it feels like home everytime i stay here. It close to all the amenities of home. I cooked everyday and enjoyed the conviences of the kitchen and close to chruches. It is nestled on a golf course as well. Thanks, K

Well, It was not the best and most clean hotel, but the pricing is good. It also has a kitchen (which is clean enough) that would be an advantage for longer stays. Good option if you are looking or cheaper options.

Older apartment style place. Well maintained, but needs some updating. the room was clean, but the bed was saggy and somewhat uncomfortable. The woman screaming outside the window at midnight probably didn't help my rest. This might be ok for a week or so while awaiting a permanent residence, but for my next trip I will look elsewhere.

Clean, convenient location. Due to late flight, office closed, was still able to access my room. Great service!

Apollo Park is actually an extended stay hotel - something I was not aware of when I booked. The majority of patrons, as far as I can tell, were not tourists, but (sketchy) locals. We got the hotel for quite a cheap price, and as the old saying goes - you get what you pay for. Apollo Park being an extended-stay hotel, our suite had a bedroom, bathroom, […] living room/dining room area, and a kitchen. The suite itself was clean and well kept, but the walls were very thin and we could hear everything our neighbors did. At one point, I swear I heard a neighbor flip a light switch! You should not be able to hear that. As for amenities, well...besides housekeeping, there didn't appear to be any. It was an okay place to lay your head for the night, but certainly not a nice place to hang out during the day. The hotel fit our needs as well as we anticipated. There was nothing wrong with the hotel, but we were a little unhappy with how dirty the furniture was. Otherwise it is was a good place to stay.

Nice suite......fully stocked......very affordable, especially for extended periods of time....

This hotel sucked. Big time. It looks all nice in the pictures, but is far from it. It's extremely ghetto, and has a horrible smell. Every time I walked in the hall way, I had to hold my breath and sprint to my door. I smelt of old, decaying, moldy building with a mix of old people feet. The funny thing is that they try to cover it with air freshener […] which only makes it worse. My room door was unlocked and open when we got there. The floors feel as if they are going to cave in at any second. OK so then theres the bathroom. Tiny, and awkward. My wife who is really tiny, when in the shower her shoulders were touching the walls. There is a sign saying if you get the floor wet, the floor could cave in. Then there's the kitchen. The stove was from the 30's, and had a odd odor coming from the fridge. the living room has no lights only a fan and a wall a/c which only cools the living room and kitchen, not the hall, bedroom, or bathroom. The tv is extremely small, and the furniture is very flimsy. Now the bedroom. If you like sleeping on the boulders you'll love the bed. It's extremely hard, and i was positive the bed was going to fall apart when we laid on it. once again you have one lamp to light the room, so you have to like dim lighting here. O if you don't take my warning bring a pillow, b/c theirs are about two inches thick. So naturally, your neck is gonna hurt and be stiff the next day. No tv in bedroom. O and the room has been smoked in and wreaks of it. So don't believe where it says non-smoking like we did. Right after we got there we had people coming to our door asking for some people, whom we're assuming stayed there awhile, and it seems as if that person was a drug dealer. This is an extended stay hotel, which we did not see in the ad. The hotel crew was smoking by the entrances, walking around with only shorts on, and are very rude. We checked in after the office was closed, had to call and then open a lock box to get our key. The room was sufficient - older apartment complex converted to hotel - extend stay. We were on the second floor (of three). There were people in the above suite - the floors make a tremendous amount of noise even in the hallways. The kitchen was well equipped […] with dishes, cookware and appliances. TV was small and the couch worn out and our bed sloped to the middle which made sleep very uncomfortable. It was close to our friends and all the places we went in town - we had a car and there was ample free parking. It was what we paid for so we were not expecting anything fancy. I'm not sure because I didn't actually see any bugs but my legs got big welts on them and itched really bad. I had to go to Walgreens and buy some medicine. It seemed to happen overnight for two nights in a row.The welts and itching went away about two days after I left.

For a extended say suites. It was not bad. Front desk was great. I would say there again.

If you are looking for an economical place to stay, this is it. It was difficult to get a sound night's sleep with the car alarms going off, radios blaring in the cars pulling in at all hours of the night, and floors creaking from people moving around above you. Overall was not bad for the price. Needs upgrades though (new sofas, softer beds, bigger tv's).

We loved the area right around the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was restocked with fresh towels every day. The only two complaints are: We kept finding occasional moths at night if we left the balcony door open (with screen shut) for air during the day. The pool was not kept clean

Its like living in a 1 bedroom apt. Very nice.

Given the fact that the Springs is experiencing moth infestation, the hotel needs to close the outside doors so as not to let in 100's of moths. We spent the first 45 minutes after check-in killing moths in our room. The hotel is older and although quaint, the bed was very soft and could be upgraded. Coffee service was very basic - caffeine, sugar, […] and creamer only. No decaf, artificial sweetener, although when asked of housekeeping, they were very accommodating - extra pillows, etc. For the price and location, it was worth it and they were very service oriented. Positiv bei diesem Hotel ist, dass das Bemühen des Managements offensichtlich ist, das Beste aus den gegebenen Umständen zu machen - große, (im allgemeinen) sehr saubere Zimmer zum fairen Preis, geschmackvolle und gepflegte Außenanlagen, gute Ansprechbarkeit des Managements bei Problemen. Geschockt war ich jedoch beim Betreten meines Zimmers von der […] absoluten Geschmacklosigkeit der Zimmereinrichtung (sah mehr aus wie eine Junggesellenbude als ein Hotelzimmer), dem quietschenden Fußboden und der ebenfalls bei jeder Bewegung quietschenden Matratze (ich wiege nur 50kg!). Da ich jedoch 2 Wochen dort eingebucht war, habe ich mich dafür entschieden, das Glas als halb voll zu betrachten und mich auf die Vorzüge meiner Unterkunft zu konzentrieren und darauf, dass im Prinzip alles im Zimmer verfügbar war, um 2 Wochen gut verleben zu können. Für kürzere Aufenthalte würde ich das nächste Mal sicher eine etwas stilvollere Unterkunft wählen, aber wenn die Umstände und Dauer meiner Reise wieder so ähnlich wären wie dieses Mal, würde ich es vielleicht noch mal mit den Apollo Park Suites wagen (hoffend, dass ich dann wieder ein Zimmer ganz oben bekomme, und nicht im Kellergeschoss).
