Olin nyt kolmatta kertaa samassa hotellissa. Paria seikkaa lukuun ottamatta olin erittäin tyytyväinen. Suurin harmi oli se, että bide-suihkua ei ollut, ja se suihkujärjestelmä, joka oli, toimi alkeellisesti. Säätö ei toiminut, vaan vettä tippui jokaisesta kolmesta kohdasta, vaikka miten olisi säätänyt. Veden tulo alkoi aina kylmällä vedellä, ja sitä siis tuli joka tuutista. No, kyllä tilanteen kanssa oppi pärjäämään. Toinen harmi oli se, että vaimoni yöpyku katosi liinavaatteiden mukana, ja takaisin sitä ei saatu.

Olin positiivisesti yllättynyt hotellin tasosta. Odotin maksamaani hintaan nähden paljon kurjempaa huonetta. Meillä oli juniorsviitti, joka oli tilava ja siisti. Kylppäri oli puhdas. Kokolattiamaton puhtaudesta ei aina voi olla täysin varma. Hinta-laatusuhde kunnossa!

"Stanford"
Plussaa oli mukava henkilökunta, sijainti, ympäristö ja huoneen koko - kaksi neitiä ostoksineen mahtui loistavasti sisään, eikä tarvittu edes polkuja :) Näköalaa toki ei voi kehua, mutta toisaalta en näkymiä hotellin ikkunasta tarvinnutkaan, kävelyreissut riittivät tuhanteen valokuvaan. Aamiainen oli simppeli, mutta päivä lähti hyvin käyntiin, ja kahvi […] oli todella hyvää. Ainoa pieni miinus oli kylppärin ikkunan likaisuus - kaikesta muusta voin sanoa vain hyvää! "Hotel Stanford NY -edullinen mutta vaatimaton"
Mukava pikkuinen hotelli, jossa huoneeseemme (602) liikenteen melu ei kuulunut paljon. Henkilökunta oli hyvin avuliasta ja mukavaa, emme joutuneet yhtä ainoata hissiä paljoa odottelemaan. Aamupala oli hyvin vaatimaton, sijainti loistava ja jääkaappi ehdoton plussa. Ainoa huono puoli oli se, ettemme pitkän (8 yötä) vierailumme ajaksi saaneet huonetta, […] josta olisi ollut mitään näköalaa, vain naapurirakennuksen seinä. "Modest hotel in a convenient location"
Spent a long weekend (three nights) staying in Hotel Stanford in September 2011. It's a decent hotel with an excellent location right next to subway station (15 meters from front door), plus Macy's, Penn Station, Empire State Building etc in a couple of blocks radius. "Kaikki lähellä"
Hotelli sijaitsi loistavalla paikalla Manhattanin keskellä. Kävellen ja Subwaylla pääsi joka paikkaan. Olin tyttäreni kanssa lomailemassa New Yorkissa, hotelli oli lähellä kaikkea. Hyvä sijainti lähellä Penn Stationia, Empire State Buildingia ja Macys-tavarataloa. Hotellihuone oli nuhjuinen, mutta melko siisti. Aamupala tarjoiltiin kertakäyttömukeista naapuri"baarissa". Hyvä sijainti oli kuitenkin hotellin miinusten yli.

Hotelli mainio pikkuhotelli, jossa aasialainen henkilökunta. Menneen maailman loistoa. Tehokas aamiaislinjasto muffinivalikoimalla, kahvia, tuoremehua ja omena! "Great location, ok room"
We were quite satisfied to this hotel allthough after first three nights we changed room. In our first room we had a terrible bed. There was a huge dent in the middle of the bed and we woke up many times every night and had sore neck and shoulders in the morning. Good thing with the first room was that it was on the 2nd floor and we didn't need to use […] the elevator. The hotel staff was kind enough to give as a new room on the 12th floor. The bed was great there and we also had a small view. We didn't mind that it was on the 12th floor. We never waited very long for the elevator (there is only one). Room was very clean and safety box and fridge is always a plus. We like the neighborhood and have stayed previously in the Radisson (next door), which was not great at all and also in Hotel Stanford (very nice place, but small rooms). We didn't go to the breakfast as there was always a line and seemed like there are only muffins and bagels available. One thing I was not pleased with was the fact that if you wanted to use the wireless in your room you had to pay for it and it wasn't very cheap. Otherwise we were happy with the hotel. Lisätietoja

New Yorkin hintatasossa kohtuuhintainen hotelli erittäin hyvällä paikalla. Hotelli ja hotellihuone olivat siistejä, siivous toimi hyvin. Huoneet ok kokoisia ja mukavia, kylpyhuone oli iso. Lämpötila vaihteli hieman, välillä oli kuuma välillä turhankin viileä, mutta se ei kuitenkan varsinaisesti häirinnyt. Aamiainen sisälsi donitseja, muffinseja ja muita […] makeita leivonnaisia, omenoita ja "rinkeleitä" sekä teetä, kahvia ja appelsiinimehua. Hissi oli vähän hidas ja alaspäin mennessä usein täynnä. Suurin miinus oli se, että huoneestamme näkyi 1,5 metrin päässä tiiliseinä eikä mitään muuta. "Hotel Stanford - nice, clean, centrally located"
The hotel was centrally located, easy to go everywhere. Most importantly, the room was extremely clean (absolutely no bed bugs)! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was handled smoothly. Breakfast was traditional bagels, muffins, doughnuts, apples, orange juice, coffee & tea but ok. Overall, really good value for money!

Vietimme 5 päivää New Yorkissa helmikuun alussa. Hotellin sijainti oli erittäin hyvä, ihan Empire State buildingin vieressä. Time Squarelle oli suhteellisen lyhyt kävelymatka, ja metropysäkki oli lähellä kun halusi mennä vähän kauemmas. Me kyllä käveltiinkin tosi paljon, näki enemmän. Huone oli siisti, pieni, mutta suurempi kuin ajateltiin, ja kun Nykissä […] ollaan niin huonettahan käytetään vain nukkumiseen. Aamupala oli jenkkitasoa; bageleita, donitseja sekä kahvia ja mehua sekä ylläri: omenoita! Eli ihan riittävä strattaamaan päivä. Kuten muissakin arvosteluissa on sanottu, ainoa hissi oli hidas, mutta pitää vain olla kärsivällinen. 2.kerroksessa oli pari konetta, joilla pääsi halutessaan nettiin, ja "pianobaarista" sai complementary kahvia. "Mediocre at Best"
Convience to bus drop and access to subways was about the best comfort offered here. If you simply need a place to stay this will work. The room was adequate. The hotel lobby was not quite a real lobby. The hallways were narrow and the room size no more than needed to survive. Not upset just looking for more. Skip this one if you can.

"Good value"
Overall good value for an excellent location. Far from business class, but good enough when you pay for yourself and just need a fair place to sleep and rest. Friendly staff. Would consider it again.
"No Outlets!!!"
The person checking me in was on cloud 9 and forgot to give me my key and then forgot to give me my ID back, so check-in took 15 minues. While checking in, the lobby filled with a group of 15 loud tourists and their luggage (which comes with the neighborhood), it is a tourist location. When finally in the room, I swear there was not a single outlet […] to be found in my room. I had to unplug the refrigerator to plug in my laptop. We really enjoyed this hotel, it was very clean and comfortable, luxury bathroom, close to shopping mall. Many Chinese restaurants close by and a 24 hour deli/convenience store right across the street. The staff were very friendly and we were able to leave our luggage at the front lobby while we went to a few shows. We also got a free room upgrade.

Trip Advisor indicates a 4 star rating from feedback received?! Can't believe it's the same hotel. For the 5 days we were wishing we had booked next door at the competition! Great location and ok if on a tight budget otherwise you'll be disappointed. Hardly any control of heating/cooling, included breakfast we were handed a plastic tray with plastic […] cutlery and the choice was bagels or iced dognuts! "Highly Satisfied"
I'm glad to say that I am very satisfied with this hotel. I was really in love with the shower they had to offer!! Great location with lots of attractions. Times Sq and lots of shopping in walking distance. 15 mins tops. Definitely would stay here again.

Hotel in nice location. Parking garage right across the street for those of you driving into the City. One of our two rooms at least 95 degrees throughout the night. Hotel staff disinterested in problem. Would not consider a discount on the stay. Breakfast basically bagels and donuts. This area also very hot.

The location is an easy walk to many things including the theater district, Times Square, or the Empire state building. The room I got was clean and well maintained with a microrefrigerator. We only needed to stay one night at a reasonable price and this turned out to be great choice. Conveniently located about a block away from Penn station, clean, comfortable. Twin beds were a bit tiny but then again for the price it was a great place

The rooms in the pictures and what they really look like, don't really match. I don't particularly care in this instance because I was just going there for a night. The rooms are not really updated (at least mine wasn't) and the shower head had very really pressure and it drained really really slow. We have a very nice stay at the Hotel Stanford. Our room was very comfortable and very quiet! The decorations were not brand new - but everything was clean and the staff was so nice so we really didn't mind whether it was very modern or not. Besides, the price was wonderful! Thank you!
"Hotel Stanford--great location, all you need"
We picked this hotel because it was only a few blocks from the Megabus stop, allowing us to quickly drop off our bags and start enjoying NYC for our 30 hour stay. We were impressed by the overall condition and cleanliness of the rooms. We stayed in a twin/twin room, and while somewhat small (hey, this is New York after all), the room was immaculate, […] attractively furnished in an upscale manner, and had a very spacious bathroom with plenty of shelf room for our toiletries. The continental breakfast the next morning was straightforward (assorted danish, coffee, juice), which I think was a plus...no powdered scrambled eggs or long waits at the waffle iron. Ugh. The person checking us in also accommodated our request for a room on the top floor, away from traffic noise, and the room delivered...very quiet, and with great room darkening curtains. This is not a full scale luxury hotel...the doorman didn't offer to take our bags up to our room, for instance...but overall, the staff was very friendly and professional, and we were extremely pleased with our stay. "21st Birthday Celebration"
We arrived in New Yor for a three day shopping trip, to celebrate my daughters 21st birithday. The hotel staff were all friendly and proffessional. The location was terriffic. Empire State Building , Macy's and Broadway within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea was lovely. It was a pleaseure to stay there.

I wanted to try out a moderately priced hotel in the area and settled on the Stanford based on positive reviews. The room was small, as expected in NYC, and a little old fashioned, but it was clean and everything worked. So did the rest of the hotel and staff and I was pleasantly surprised. While the location of the hotel was quite good, the hotel itself is showing significant signs of wear. It sorely needs an update. Room was worn thin, both the mattress and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and the television set was old, small and had extremely limited channels. Unfortunately, the most disturbing issue was the pair of socks I found […] between the sheets at the bottom of the bed, which seemed to clearly indicate that the room had been haphazardly cleaned between guests, and that the sheets were most likely not completely fresh although the bed had been made. Wonderful! Amazing location within walking distance to everything. Broadway theatres, 5th Ave shopping experience, Empire State Bldg., Macy's flagship store, and more and more and more. VERY clean and the beds were absolutely comfortable and the down comforters added to the luxury. "Close to Madison Square Garden, great location!"
Wonderful location in Mid-Town, a subway station only one block away and close to everything NY has to offer. Clean, well-presented hotel with smallish rooms but more than adequate, after all you don't travel to NY to be in a hotel room. We booked the entry level room (standard) and we got a room on the ninth floor, with "views" over a car park. Breakfast […] was included as well and whilst basic, all one needed for a start into the day was provided: bagels, cream cheese, jam, donuts, juice, milk, coffee, tea. The only downside was that the hotel charges for internet, at a price that I personally found quite steep. There is a business center on the second floor and free WiFi in the lobby, however if internet is not required for work whilst in the room, free WiFi is readily available anywhere, for example Starbucks.
