Super 8 Chester Richmond Area - Chester

I was not happy with service. I registered 4 in 1 room. there was towels for 2, so I asked for 2 more towels, the desk clerk said she could not give me more because they needed to have the towels for the rooms that needed to be cleaned I argued with for a few minutes that I registered 4 people in my room and I needed towels to accommadate. The toilet […] seat was broke,so you had to be careful that it did not slip off. The air conditioner/heater was not working so I ask the clerk if I could have it fixed and she said she would, but I also said that if it could not be fixed that I would like a new room , well the hotel was full so neither happened. Even though we go to the Richmond nascar race every year I won't be spending my money at the Super 8 in Chester Va. anymore. Lisätietoja

Cheap hotel; the rooms showed their age but were clean. The room came with a mini-fridge and microwave, so made my long-term stay much more convenient. the staff was very curteous and even adjusted their cleaning schedule to fit my work schedule (I worked nights, so they came into the room early to clean before I arrived each morning). Again, not a […] great place, but for the money, if you're looking for a bed, not bad. Surrounding area had a lot of chain restaurants, grocery, local restaurants, and nice parks nearby. When I first walked in, I approached the security glass window (the location was far from dangerous). It was not welcoming at all. The entire building felt a little dirty. The room was terrible. Even though it had the "essentials" (beds, TV, fridge, etc), it was not well kept. There were dirt spots on the bathroom floor, a few stains on some of the […] linens, and I found a dead bug on one of the beds. The breakfast consisted of 2 containers of dry cereal, wrapped muffins, and some type of pastry plus coffee and/or juices. After one night in that hotel, I was not about to eat anything they provided. I was supposed to stay there for an entire week. By 12am the first night I checked in, Hotels.com changed my reservation to a MUCH better hotel for only about $30 more than I paid for this one. First of all I booked the room for 5 of us. But they only had us down for 4 but once i showed them the confirmation that i booked for 5 everthing was all set The room was decent it served our purpose as we only needed it to sleep in as we were to busy seeing the sights and where only there to sleep. The beds were ok but the pillows were as flat as […] pancakes. The free breakfast was nothing more then muffins and cerel. The location of the Hotel was pretty good. There were plenty of restuarants in the area that were great. Also shopping across the street from the Hotel. Overall it wasn't bad but not sure if we'll stay there again next year. Its a place to sleep when you need one. If your looking for amenities this isn't for you. If your looking for a place to crash for the night it works fine for that.

While i am an avid believer in "you get what you pay for" idealogy, go somewhere else. The room smelt of feet, the woman at the front desk apparantly couldnot give me the room i paid for & tried to comfort me by telling me that "that's what you get when you book online". We were looking for a cheap hotel, for one night for a local event. This hotel fit the bill. Nothing was over the top in experience, but it was adequate. We did experience in the middle of the night, water leaking into the room from room above (they were using the shower & shouldn't have been). Called front desk to let them know. Front desk person never […] came up to check out water bubble (size of large kids outdoor ball!), but did contact above room to get out of bath. I checked out the Days Inn next door and it was MUCH nicer for about slightly more a day.

Very Clean bathroom, very helpful and friendly staff.
