Super 8 Motel Colorado Springs - Colorado Springs

After checking in we made our way to the room only to find the handrail on the upper stairwell was broken.( it was marked as dangerous however ) Entering our room we found that there was no remote for the television. The clerk on duty did her best to address the problem by bringing up a handful of programmable remotes, none she could get to work. She […] left them with us to try and after about half an hour we gave up. Returning them to her she offered us another room which we accepted. The toilet in this room was plugged but eventually worked itself free. The doorstop in the bathroom was broken out of the wall and lying on the floor. When it came time to retire for the evening we found that the bedsheets were dirty. Not wanting to bother the attendant at this late hour we tried moving to the other bed, only to find that the pillowcases had hair on them. My wife went down to get replacements and she was given two more DIRTY pillowcases! She demanded clean pillowcases and two were found. When she complained about the dirty bedsheet on the first bed the attendant ( owner ) asked her if she wanted a clean bedsheet, expecting her to remake the bed herself!!! This offer was rejected. In the morning we went down to the continental breakfast which was mediocre at best. The overall appearance of this hotel was dingy and somewhat run down. We have stayed at quite a few Super 8 hotels in our travels and this one ranks the worst of all. Lisätietoja

We read the reviews & were concerned, but thought maybe the others were just complainers. We stay aprox. 50 nights at hotels around the world, everything from cheap hotels to 5 star - depending on our time, comfort & cost. This place was AWFUL! We did not complain, because we don't believe it wouldv'e changed anything. we've never stayed at a Super […] 8 w/out a waffle machine. Breakfast was crap- not breakfast at all - just bread & cereal. The 2nd morning we didn't even bother with breakfast. The room wasn't much better. the carpets are discusting-everywhere (stains everywhere including a HUGE red stain between the tiny double beds!), a used condom stuck to the trash can, old tv with volume problems....etc. Called for a wakeup call that never happened, thankfully we had a secondary alarm set on our phone (because we were doubtful). We stayed 2 nights for parents weekend (our Son is a senior this year - so we've stayed in the area many times). & had an opportunity to stay again at the end of our weekend -we chose a different hotel -for our money we would stay at the Quality Suites at 314 w. Bijou street again ANYTIME!! the difference in price (only about $25 was WELL worth the huge double room/suite, hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy & hashbrowns, not to mention the indoor hot tub & pool!! the staff at this hotel, wasvery nice, we arrived at 3am of 1st night, wife woke with pains in lower back from uncomfortableness of the beds. Could only get 3 channels to work on th tv. On a plus side was one of the only hotels have stayed at recently u can hook up a game system to. Thank goodness or our kids would have been bored when we were in the […] room. Heater Thermostat was not working, so I had to get out of bed several times during the night to turn on/off the heater. Otherwise it was a quick overnight stay.

nice clean place, had washer and dryer that was great after rafting.would stay again

The room was what we expected, pretty much. Nothing spectacular, but the price was okay.

The hotel and staff were wonderful. We were located within minutes of all the big attractions. The free breakfast wasn't great but no different than any other hotel we've stayed at (muffins, cereal, toast, etc.).
