Super 8 Joliet Chicago I 80 - Joliet

I picked this hotel because it was close to where I was and it had a decent price. The room was not very clean and had empty bags and an empty pop bottle laying around in it. Also, I had laundry to do and the only dryer was not working. I had to hang my laundry up to dry in the room. All in all, not a very good experience for the money spent. Shower was not clean. Build up on shower head, hairs on the shower wall. Coffee tray was dirty. Microwave was dirty. Only 2 pillows per bed and they were flat. When I checked in I was told to wait. Hotel was nice, clean, decent part of Joliet. Check-out was at 11am. At 11:01 (I checked my phone), Management was banging on our door, Yelling it was time to check out. So I left my friend in the room to grab our stuff, while I went to go check out and NO ONE was at the desk, so I rang the bell and he yelled at me to wait. So I waited...and waited...for […] someone so eager to bang on our door ONE minute after checkout sure took his time to check us out of our room! lobby was very clean and well lit. breakfast area and vending machine area was also very clean. Coffee 24/7 big plus, for me anyways. Was there to visit my brother and his family for the holidays with my Dad. Price was very good for services Will stay again any time I go up

I have always injoyed my stays at Super 8 in the past, but after this stay I may not in the future, 4:00 am the peope in the room upstairs were jumping and pounding like they wanted to jump throught the floor and if that was not bad enought they woke the baby in the rom next to us so than we had to listen to crying for a hour. I caled and conplained […] and they said they talked to them and the other guest were calling to, but it did not to seem to work, because it continued for about another hour after that, they asked if we anted to change rooms, but I was not changing we got in a 3:00am I told them they need to be moved to the first floor by empty rooms. This was the worst time I ever had at Super 8 and we always stay at Super 8. The worst thing is for bad feedback, because most people only conplane if it is a bad time. Checked for bed bugs didn't see any but seemed to feel them all night! Holes in wallpaper, chairs, mattresses, grout missing in bathroom. Just poor maintenance all around. Owners were nice just didn't expect a big name like super 8 to allow such poor conditions.

Good for a budget overnight stay. Convenient to interstate, but not noisey. Extra large room. Mattress barely passable and furniture in need to replacing. Room was clean as well as bathroom. Minimal cold breakfast but for the price appropriate.

The motel had a very strong scent of curry. But I was grateful for the coffee and cereal in the morning.

I stayed at this hotel over the long weekend. I will say it was the area I needed but the overwhelming smell of curry everyday all day from the room where the manager must have lived was a bit much. Also the couch in my room had a large stain on it that was not very appealing. I dont think I will stay there again. Hopefully there will be room available […] in the near by nicer hotels. Sat on the bed and the head board fell down. Tried to open the curtains and they fell off the rod. Wanted to have light next to the bed- there was a lamp, but no electrical outlet! And the hall smelled of stale food and garlic!

The clerk at the counter didn't even look up at us when we checked in. Then after getting the first room and finding that the air conditioner didn't work, we were instructed that we probably weren't setting it correctly. When something turns on and then off after 10 seconds, I don't think it's a user malfunction. Then when we were given the second room, […] the air conditioning was probably the only thing that worked right. The drapes had holes in them, the toilet was cracked and the "chair" (a recycled barkalounger, I'm sure) was barely sturdy enough to sit in.
