Kallis mutta tasokas hotelli.Aamupala hinnoittelu oli kallis.Erikoinen ja siisteys hyvä.Huoneemme oli kaksikerroksinen jossa oli jyrkät portaat ja pieni olohuone.Raitiovaunupysäkit olivat lähellä mutta muuten hotelli oli vähän sivussa.Ilmeisesti hotelli on ollut entinen orpokoti mistä on tehty hotelli.

Honestly, I could have just stayed in the hotel all weekend. One major surprise was the quality of the adjacent club, which put on an excellent night last Friday with great DJs. I don't think I've ever heard such perfect sound in a club in my many years of clubbing! Husband and I were amazed at the hotel decor upon walking into the hotel. Front desk was friendly and told us that we were upgraded to a studio room because they were overbooked. Room was AMAZING; very spacious and simple yet had the contemporary feel. Loved this hotel, really quirky and interesting and despite Amsterdam being a incredibly expensive city, this hotel is terrified value and very close to two different trams which make getting around the city incredibly easy.

The room that we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable, over two floors. It is really close to the tramlines which take you to the city center. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We decided that we wanted a Christmas with a difference so we decided upon Amsterdam; a place we had both visited before and one that we thought would deliver everything we wanted. The Hotel Arena was a lovely hotel, located far close enough to the city centre but far enough to enjoy a quiet stay. However, the air-con in our room wasn't working and neither were the lights.....the staff moved us rooms no problems to a better room. The room was never cleaned and we had to request for this to happen. When if was cleaned, this consisted of pulling the sheets up!! I did enjoy the stay at the Hotel Arena. The location was outside of the City Center, but transportation there was convenient (trams and Metro close). There were plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby and within walking distance. Some other random comments as you make your hotel decision: 1. I had booked a suite, but was given a standard room […] at first. The front desk staff fixed this issue immediately and told me that Expedia had given them the wrong information. (My advice: Bring your booking/reservation materials!) 2. I used the Connexion Shuttle Service to the Hotel and it was easy and convenient. I would recommend this. 3. The room had a distinctive odor to it when we arrived (sewer gas smell). I chose not to bring this to the attention of the hotel staff. It got better as we used the room over the four days. 4. You can purchase public transportation tickets (24, 48, or 72 hour passes) from the front desk. 5. I thought the breakfast buffet was large with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, breads, meat, cheeses, juices, and danish. It was all delicious. 6. The pictures make the hotel look a bit nicer than it actual was. They did seem to be working a lot (i.e. painting) on the structure. 7. It was nice having the restaurant and bar onsite. Ate dinner at the hotel one night and it was very good. 8. The heat did not seem to be working in the room. The Manager looked at it twice and did bring us an electric heater. 9. Our stay at the Hotel Arena was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, and the customer service is great! We liked the location of the hotel because the hotel was away from the busy tourist areas. The Tram stop was a two minute walk away that took us quickly to our daily destinations. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

I thought the room was too narrow and claustraphobic and why do I have to pay 25 euro per night to park my car???? The food in the hotel bar was awful. On the positive side, the room was clean and the staff where lovely.

The Hotel Arena is located a convenient 2 blocks or so from the 9 which goes to the central train station and the downtown tourist areas. The rooms are stylish and well appointed and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a comfortable one. The only minor issue I could see a guest having is that the rooms aren't particularly well […] soundproofed. You might want to ask for a corner room or one at the end of a hallway. I am wheelchair user and the staff are amazing, they made sure my stay was perfect and it was. The hotel is extremely clean and big I didn't experiance any downfalls and I will definitely stay at Hotel Arena :D

It was a very spacious room and the hotel was situated in a lovely part of Amsterdam. The easiest way to get there is to take the number 9 tram and walk down to the hotel from Plantage Laan. The hotel is situated near Ooster Park, which is lovely and an Albert Heijn (supermarket) in Sarphati straat for when you want to have a picnic. The hotel is very nice and clean. The only drawback is that when you make shower is quite impossible to avoid that the water floods the bathroom.

The hotel was gorgeous and the room was unusual, it was a really great stay . The only negative point was that the breakfast was not included and too expensive 18eur. ( we didn t took it) . I recommend this hotel, espacially for couple, it s a romantic place.

Myself and a group of 8 stayed in the hotel arena for the weekend. It was excellent. Walk able to the centre or reception booked us a taxi straight away. Rooms were very good. Breakfast was nice but a little expensive.

Hotel staff upon arrival were most helpful. As we arrived on a Friday, they offered to put us on the guestlist for the club. Ask reception if you need a taxi rather than waiting outside the hotel, they will get you one in less than 5 minutes. I have stayed in the Hotel Arena several times, and there is a good reason to come back. A beautiful building, pleasant service, great breakfast, and a comfortable room: this place cannot be beaten. It has all the comforts of a modern business hotel, with ten times the character. Simply brilliant!

We loved our stay at Hotel Arena. It was Funky Fresh and Friendly. Our room which was the basic option was really cool and very comfortable... was very sad to leave the huge bed behind! the food, although a little pricy was very tasty. It was also a great location and easy to get to the centre and other areas of the city.

Excellent value, Hotel rooms are of a great standard - Only drawback of the hotel may be for a tourist who may wish to stay more central - However easy access to both trams and the metro - Plus you are getting better value for a 4 star hotel to be slightly out of the city centre.

the hotel is really a nice one , though some of the ladies at reception dont like if a lady is their costumer, the rooms are cool but there some small facts which makes it strange like there no wifi really in rooms and i had the feeling the shower jells were not really new one but used one.

The Hotel Arena in Amsterdam is set on the out skirts of Amsterdam's hustle and bustle, but very accessible via the tram system, one outside the hotel to the entertainment district (clubs & restaurants) and one approx 500m to Dam Square. Although the deluxe room we booked was nice, the split level bedroom was a little awkward climbing very steep stairs. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. I always stay at Hotel Arena when I'm in Amsterdam. Really beautiful building, great staff and fun atmosphere. Stay at the hip bar/restaurant on premises or venture out into the heart of Amsterdam. It's only a quick train or tram car away.

Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Location is a bit too far from the center of Amsterdam than I had realised for the price. The biggest problem was the room which was a duplex with an incredibly steep, narrow steps and open staircase (a nighmare if you had been staying with young children). A new hotel in a classic old building. Somewhat trendy with lots of black and white decor. Terrific breakfasts. Nice lounge. Helpful staff all speak fluent English. Quiet location with easy access to buses and trams. Decent value for money for a 4 star hotel. Great loft style bedroom.

Ny husband and I stayed at Hotel Arena in July 2011. It is super-modern with very black hallways, not our taste but if you like modern this is for you. We found the room also to be ultra-modern - in fact we didn't discover the clothes closet until we'd been there 2 days, we thought it was a mirror! We had a two-floor room with "living room" area and bathroom on the first and the bed on the second floor. The bathroom had see-through glass walls, which was a little weird. The location of the hotel was good, as well - it was quite easy to take the tram into town, although the check-in/out ticket system is quite annoying.

I don't have a single negative thing to say. The bathroom walls were completely-clear glass with no lock, or any attempt at sound-proofing so I'm now much closer to my boyfriend than I'd originally intended to be after a month, but actually it just added to the experience.
