Long Beach Resort - Panama City Beach

Loved it!

The room was nothing like the pictures online. We stayed on the 13th floor. Overall I wouldn't recommended this hotel .

We had no major complaint about the hotel or its staff. The only complaint we feel is that we were not informed by the Hotel. com people that we were going to be charged a $ 40.00 fee as a damage protection insurance. It was our understanding when we prepaid for the time at the hotel it covered all fees. We have not been to Florida for 28 years. We […] usually go to Hawaii every year. We were scheduled to be at Panama City Beach from 16 -23 Dec. 2011. After 4 days where the temperature ranged from 41 degrees to one day as high as 73. We had 2 days of sun and 2 days of rain and you had to wear a coat to sit on the Lanai. It was suppose to rain for another two days. We left 3 days early to head back to Indiana to warm up. we actually didn't see over 20 people on the beach at any one time. Again we do not fault the Hotel or staff but we do have concern if we will ever use Hotels.com to reserve a vacation again. It looks like we picked the wrong time of year to visit florida.and did not expect any room refund, but we did notlike paying a fee we were not aware we had to pay or we could not stay at the hotel. We booked online and were happy at first with our price from hotels.com.But, when we arrived at the hotel the check-in person advised us of an extra,EXTRA $40 surcharge . She said all,ALL guests must pay. Room was great.. clean, updated and comfortable.. two things to note.. no wireless in the rooms and only a few have a network connection(ours did not).. additionally, the damage deposit is not a deposit.. it is a fee that you will not be getting back.. went for IMFL.. close enough to walk to the event.. about 400yds

I loved the long beach resort. It was a beautiful hotel but the only problem I had was it was kinda crowded from having such a big couch in it. Other than that the place was beautiful and I loved that u could walk out and see the beach on one side and the other was where all the shops and places to go were. The dryer was broken, could not do laundry the whole time I was there .

The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. The condo had easy access to the beach, nightlife, restaurants, and shopping. The room was clean, the furniture comfortable....so nothing to complain about there either. Not really a place for singles.....but, I would recommend this place to families.

When we arrived we were given a room in TOWER 4. The tower was undergoing construction and the noise level was at a MAX. Then when you walk into the lobby, you were hit with a smell of unclean restrooms. It was DISGUSTING. When we get to the hotel room we were missing light bulbs and two of the drains were stopped up. We had to walk like half a mile […] to go to the office because they do not leave a sheet in the room with contact information for you too call them. When we went to wash towels from the hotel there was no washing powders. I can understand having to buy your own washing powders, but i have stayed in a lot less pricier room that gave you sample packs. We decided that house cleaning would bring us fresh towels the following morning but they never came....the WHOLE duration of our trip. The funny part is, when you book your trip if you look at the extra charges it includes a cleaning fee. I would be fine with that if I ever saw cleaning be done. Plus, the hotel room had mold in the tub, and drop tile ceiling everywhere and it was falling down. All-in-all, this place was a 0 star. If you want the best experience of the PC stay at the Shores of Panama. We stayed there last year and will definitely make that our new destination for vacations. If you do decide to stay at Long Beach Resort, the best part we experienced was the security(very friendly), and the Tiki Bar by the pool! my stay at long beach was nice somewhat comfortable somehow there was a mix up with how many people was gonna be in the room and my husband had to share our bed with our 6yr old and they brought a crib for the 1yr old so justn make sure you double check your reservations the moment you reserve it... but overall my kids enjoyed and my husband and myself […] as well Lisätietoja

Well I loved the location of the hotel bc its convenient to everything...walmart,pineapple willys...it has a beautiful big balcony that overlooks the beautiful gulf beaches!The only things I diddnt like was the furniture was kind of old and not updated and the plugs diddnt work outside on balcony and the pool was beautiful and big but they diddnt want […] you to have water bottles by the pool which was crazy to me!Probably wont book this hotel again bc Ive stayed in much nicer ones for the same money! Hotel was better than I expected. My stay could not have been any better. Service was excellent.

We have stayed here many times. However, this particular room had problems. The balcony doors did not open, the keys had to be "re-keyed" 2 times, and the bathroom had an odor. Overall, I was disappointed.

We went at the end of college spring break and expected the worst. Long Beach Resort was great. Quiet, beautiful grounds and pool. Attentive staff. Fantastic location. Will stay there again and again.

. Need a car. Everything is quite a walk. Good restaurants at least 3 miles away. Pool was small and dirty.

Wife had to clean bath tub and spots on shower curtain. Moldy ceiling at a/c ducts. Busted balcony furniture.

This was very easy and everything was as listed no hidden charges. Long Beach is really nice. We will be staying here again and again.

Long Beach is a great resort. I stayed there 2 years ago with my family in a 2 bedroom condo and it was awesome. I recently book another room for my honeymoon--this time a one bedroom. My only complaint on the one bedroom condo was the tile floor was filtly. I had white socks on and after a few hours the bottom of them were black. I talked to the front […] desk and she said she would have someone come and clean them. I never saw them and the floor were still dirty when we left. Other then that I love the place and will stay there again. The pools are great and I love the location of it. It is close to just about everything. And the balconies....they are second to none. We selected a studio "efficiency" room. When we arrived at our room for our honeymoon, the room looked like something from the 1970's. It had mirrors on the wall behind the bed, the carpet was this hidious green and the shower was very small. I think they need some major updates at the resort. We have stayed here several times before and the quality […] was much better, we were not happy with the view, it was not a gulf view but more like a side of the building view with a very small balcony. We have been staying at Long Beach Resort for close to ten years now. The property is getting older and is out classed by some of the surrounding resorts. But, having always been pleased with the property, I will continue to stay there when in Panama City Beach.

We loved our room! The view was spectacular. Just a great place to stay. Hope to be back soon!

Staff was very courteous and helpful. Room was clean, view was great. Only downfall, efficiency rooms are at the end of building, sound from street echoed all night between the buildings. Once you get used to that, room is great. Would stay again.

The price was pretty steep for the quality of the room. The room we stayed in had several things wrong. The washer and dryer did not work which is not a good thing with three kids, sand, and water. There were curtains in the living room but not in the bedrooms which meant we were awakened at sunrise by all the light. The blinds that were there kept […] falling down. The dishwasher was broken and you had to lift the drawer up to get it out. All and all I will never stay at this place again. This was our third year at the resort. The pool and pool bar are the best part of the resort. It is worth staying there just for the pool. Check out is promptly at 10am and check in was supposed to be at 4pm. Not sure why it should take 6hours to clean a room but that is their policy. We arrived before 4pm as did several other families expecting to […] check in by 4. We did have to wait quite a while and the front desk attendant rudely told us that the check in starts at 4 and it would be ready when its ready. The room was ready around 4:45. When we first arrived we noticed the bath sink was clogged, and the desk clerk sent a maint. man. I wonder how they were able to clean it properly if it was clogged. The carpet in the room was dirty, the toilet ran all night, the bedroom door would not lock and three times during our stay a debt collector was trying to reach the condo owner. Someone needs to be on duty at the Hotel proper past 4:00 PM to check in residents.

The location was great, beach was nice however the accomidations in the room were only so, so. You could do better at the Holiday Inn. The sheets were a double sheet on a king bed, the one bathroom leaked so we were asked not to use it (4 women in one bathroom then). I suggest you keep looking.

I would definitely say this room needs improvement. When we arrived there were 2 dead roaches on the floor, the mattress was extra firm and there were black spots on the bathroom wall. For the money I thought it would be a little nicer. Other than that it served its purpose. The room was very outdated, furniture and carpet were worn, bathroom smelled. Our AC was not working properly when we arrived and it took three phonecalls to management to finally get it repaired. Room was very dated. It would have been nice to know that the room only came w/a microwave and little refrigerator. Would have stayed @ a hotel if i would have known you have to eat all your meals out. Beaches were nice and the bed was comfortable. I would not stay here again.

I was very pleased with the hotel. After browsing various hotels on Panama City Beach and reviewing the accomodations for each hotel, price, location, etc. We decided on Long Beach Resort. The other places were the same price but they were actual hotels without a full kitchen.The room was awesome. We had ocean views from both the family room/kitchen […] and bedroom. I have stayed at various places in PCB and this is by far the best. The balcony was the full length of the condo. It was a very smart decision to stay there. Each room is owned by a different person so the decor will be different, but I didn't care about the decor. The hotel was great. Although the room decor was a little out dated, it was still comfortable. And the front door didn't always lock when you just let it shut on it's own. All rooms faced the ocean which is a must! Beach was gorgeous! We did have a day when they had double red flags up & there was a man checking on the swimmers. The overall experience was great. We stayed in a 2 bed/2 bath and it was very spacious. The oversized balcony was awesome! When we first arrived the main door leading to the balcony was stuck but maintenance arrived quickly to fix. Spacious pool and tasty frozen drinks. Location couldn't be better. We would definitely stay again.

It was a nice room. The bathroom was in need of a remodel. It was the worst shower I have ever taken. I would have done better to wash my hair in the sink. It had a great view! I would stay there again, maybe.

This was a great value and the room was nice. We were afraid the gated security was going to hold us up in a line every time, but they do their job well. We liked everything about it except that the pools were apparently not heated. However, we had excellent experience.
