Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort - Panama City Beach

First I would like to say that the edge water resort is a very nice place to stay, and I would go there again, but I would prefer to stay in the towers instead of the villa. Maybe it is clear to everyone else who books the resort online that you will not be staying on the beach but across the street from it, but as a first timer at this I thought me […] and my fiancé would have a much shorter walk to the beach. When we got there and were told that we had to go across the street I felt cheated out of my money at first, but that was before we settled in. The place has transit cars for residents that constantly does round to and from the beach to make it less of a hassle, but the walk was actually quite nice as well as it turned out. They have a pedestrian bridge over the street so you don't have to worry about crossing it. Anyways if you are. Booking your rooms a little late and edge water golf resort is an option I would go ahead and do it, being across the street from the beach beats 12 hours any day! Lisätietoja

Stayed here for spring break with high schoolers. Had a first floor golf villa, very spacious. Trams run often to take you back and forth to beach, across the street next to main condos. Enjoyed being away from the noise of the beach and crowds. there are severala pool by the villas, and the golf course begins here as well. husband played golf and found […] it challenging for a beginner/intermediate player. The condo are nice but the apartments are out dated. The cleaning crew takes too long to get your room ready. The front desk ladies are beautiful but needs more help.

non refundable, hidden fee at check in...building under repair, early morning noise...very few people in hotel, felt like they could have done a better job in placing us.....very disappointed

They charge $40 damange waiver fees thats pain.

This is a very pleasant condo situation. There's an in house store for incidentals, bar and food and other shops. There's also a golf course and shops and places to eat close in. The pool area is very beautiful. A negative is the nonrefundable breakage fee.

Upon arrival to hotel,They issued me a room as requested. When i entered the door I noticed how hot it was in room. I tried to turn on the A/C with no satisfaction. I then called the front desk & advised her that the A/C would not turn on. She advised me that she would send maint.personnel to room. After 20 minutes I called her back without getting […] an answer. % minutes later I called again & she answered & advised that she had been calling the room for me. I was in the room & noone called the room. She advised that she would get me another room as they were doing repairs to the building & she had forgotten that they had turned the A/C systems off. When I arrived at the office I advised her to put me across the street in a room that was closer to the convention center. This she did and after that everthing was O.K. Lisätietoja

The resort was awesome - great location, pools, beaches and nice condos. The beds sucked and didn't even have real sheets. Since they weren't fitted sheets, all you had to do was sit on the bed for less than a minute and it was off. The bed sunk to the middle and was very poor. I would recommend the resort.

need to get new bed lineen the spread looked like it had been on the bed for 30 years and when coming in that night could not get in room because a raccon was sitting on the door step and would not move but if they change the linien and get rid of the wild life it would be a nice place location is great

I would recommend it to anyone. We had a wonderful time. We would diffinitely stay there again.

Very comfortable place with a fantastic location. The beach villa we stayed in had 2 bathrooms, 1 bedroom, complete with kitchen and cooking supplies/utensils. Beach was immediately in front of the villa. Only down side would be the beach chairs. There are chairs and umbrellas on the beach but you have to rent them...so easier to bring your own or just […] place a towel on sand and relax there. My husband and I finally decided to get a condo unit where we can stay for Thunder Beach. This was the best!!! We loved it! We were right in the middle of the action and one of the biggest events was right across the hotel! We got a beach front unit and it was exactly what we expected! It's fully furnished, even comes with plates, glasses and utensils […] so we didn't have to worry about anything. Love, love, love the bathroom...it's super clean! The towels were clean white! Although we were not able to use the swimming pools because it was a little cold, we had fun taking pictures! I will definitely go back next year...but a longer stay this time. I can't wait! The room was very nice, the view was amazing, the staff was friendly (with the exception of the front office, they were not personable). However, I have no idea why I was alerted to the fact that above and beyond the amount I paid for my room, I was forced to provide a $40 "non refundable" damage deposit. Not really a deposit, is it. More of an unannounced […] fee. They should be up front about that cost, and either just charge more for the room, or get rid of it. It took a good trip and left a sour taste in my mouth. thunder beach was great and the hotel made it even better will say again

We have stayed in these condos for several years. We have always been very happy with the accomodations. Just make sure that the second bedroom of the two bedroom condos has two beds in it. This last time we only had one bed that seemed like a 3/4 bed which is too small for two adults. Otherwise we would highly recommend staying there! We will come […] back next year again. Lisätietoja

My family and I stayed @ one of Edgewater's villas from July 30- August 1. It was absolutely awesome. Although we requested 2 beds, when we got there, to our surprise, there were 3 (one king and 2 fulls!) Everything was nice and clean. The villa that we stayed in was truly beyond what we expected. We will definitely be staying there again!

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. Had both worlds on vacation, quite at the villa and action at the beach side. I would recommend Edgewater Beach . Had a fabaulous time. The only thing was not a clean shower curtain or towel.

I stayed at the villa for 5 nights. The room was furnished nice and we had everything we needed. The main pool was really nice. The only thing that bothered my family and me was the frogs. All 5 nights, we barely got any sleep. The frogs were very loud, I hope they will do something about that in the future. We asked for a different room but the villas […] have ponds all around, so you can hear the frogs in every villa. Unfortunately, they wouldn't give us a room at the tours, which we thought that we were gonna stay there in the first place. There were two couples that stayed in this condo. The master bedroom alone was bigger than a typical hotel room! It was a vert quiet location, only 10 min walk to the beach, and a short cab ride to anywhere we wanted to go. The full kitchen allowed us to cook a few meals to save on going out. It was a great experience!

I had a great stay at the Edgewater PCB. We had reserved the golf view villas and ended up with a view of the ocean. I vacationed with three teens between the ages of 13-18 and they loved that they could walk to the beach and the awesome pool that was located at the beach. The only problem was the beds were very uncomfortable and there was a cheer camp […] going on during our stay. The cheerleaders were apparently practicing all night because they were really noisy above my room. I think it would have been a good idea if the resort had placed them all in one area. Overall the stay was above expected and I would stay again. It was very economical to be able to have a kitchen with all supplies to cook meals instead of eating out every night and I loved not having to do laundry when I got home thanks to the washer and dryer. Close enough to everything. But far enough off the beaten path so you didnt hear motorcycles all nite long. Great place to stay. But i dont agree with the 40.00 damage disclosure they charged. Other than that it was pretty dog gone good place to stay.

We stayed here during thunder beach it was incredible the villa had 2 bathrooms 2 tvs living room dining room and a kitchen with washer and dryer it was great and sooo colorful we were close to everything including a short walk to the gorgeuos beach we were also right across the street to the official venue for thunder beach we were able to leave the […] bikes at the villa and walk/ stagger home Lisätietoja

Not happy we were charged an additional $40 fee when we Arrived for incidentals whatever that was.

My Only complaint is that there is a hidden fee. It clearly says no cleaning fee but when you get there they have started charging $40 for property taxes in addition to all the taxes you have already paid through Hotels.com

The Edgewater has everything you need for a relaxing, sun-filled vacation. The fitness room is excellent, well-equipped and clean; the beach is clean and the sand is the softest in Florida. The pools throughout the resort are nice and are well-stocked with lounge chairs, tables, chairs and umbrellas. The restaurant is very nice although the grocery […] is a short drive and we ate breakfasts and lunches in the condo. The kitchen in the condo was well stocked with pans and dishes. It was also beautifully furnished. I loved my condo so much I will ask for the exact one again! This resort should be rated higher than 2 1/2! I had a great experience. Wonderful...booked for the Villa's across the street from the beach due to cost ...was surprised when we checked in and had been upgraded to beachside! No extra cost...everyone was nice really busy it was SPRING BREAK! Had a check-in fee that per the booking site was to be $35.00 turns out it was $40.00 and they would not honor the printed price on […] the confirmation...but only $5.00 differnce and I was upgraded to beachside...just because! Although the hotel and towers are ON the beach. Our location was on the golf-course which is ACROSS the road from the hotel/beach area. If you want a beach location don't stay in the rooms at this hotel that say Golf-Course view, it's across the street, which we did not understand when booking. The room we stayed in was nicely decorated,had all the […] features but the outside was run down and under renovation. Want stay in a "Golf-Course" view room again at this hotel. Absolutely great resort, as long as you get a room on the beach. Comfy, clean, great pools, beautiful sunset, beach access. Most businesses closed because of season - November (even Taco Bell!) Weather was unexpectably warm - 80 and enjoyed walking the beach and relaxing. Be prepared to bring own supplies for personal use, soaps, cleaners, scrubbers, […] towels & washcloths, as resort charges add'l for ea day. we were able to check in early even though we didn't get our room yet. Once we checked in, the master bathroom tub knobs were broken but it was fixed withing a hour or so. As much as we paid for this place i was expecting a jacuzzi tub there was No jacuzzi tub. One of the bathroom did not have a light in the shower so you couldnt seen anything. The […] resort stated that they offered free wireless and wi-fi, however, there was NO wireless or wi-fi they only had dail up internet. They also stated that they offer free shuttle service; however, there was no shuttle we walked from our villa to the main pool daily. Our villa door would not lock at times. There was NO instruction to contact the front desk. The phone in the villa did not work. The pool that was close to our villa was dirty and seem like no one ever clean the pool. The place overall needed to be updated. Windows were dirty, bed was not good! main pool was good! Wouldnt book this place again unless we had no other option Lisätietoja

Staying at Edgewater Beach and Golf resort was the most relaxing and enjoying experience I've had while vacationing in Florida . The property is beautiful and the staff is superb. Would recommend to anyone to stay there>

Beachfront was great. Pool was large and very nice. Room however needed some serious maintenance. Very old and needed to be updated. Sinks were clogged, power outlets hanging out of the wall, very dangerous for kids in the room. No elevator maps anywhere to be found.

Carpets need some love!! Very very dirty. Love the Edgewater. Spacious. Love the on-site restaraunts. Staff very friendly.

Great place to stay! We loved the trolley from the villas to the beach! The main pool and restuarant were awesome! We will go back for sure!

arrived on time - room ready. beautiful 2bed/2bath room condo overlooking the gulf. well appointed and comfortable. second stay there - will go there again. friendly and helpful staff.
