"BAsic Accommidations"
My son had to stay overnight in Rochester to have some testing done at the Mayo. We don't have much money, but I did not want him to have to drive down there at 4am, so I rented a room so he could stay overnight. I read negative reviews of this hotel, but have learned that many people write stuff like this when it is not true. "Long stay"
The reason I chose this hotel is that my wife has oporations from time to time at Mayo clinic and I whould stay there for a week or so.
Very disappointed with lack of channels to watch. There was no kid channels to watch. Loved the kitchenette that was very helpful.
Very clean Greeted by very nice people at the front desk coming and going. Would be happy to stay there again.

This is a rather decent property for the price I paid. I will definitely stay there again in the future. Since it's an extended stay hotel, there are limited "frills", but for the price, it was well worth it. "Don't stay on the third floor if you don't smoke."
Requested a non-smoking room. Got a non-smoking room on the third floor, which is where the smoking rooms are. The room smelled fine, but the hallway smelled strongly of smoke. When turning on the bathroom light, the fan turns on, which draws the smokey-smelling air under the door into the room. Ultimately, we took to cracking the window and shoving […] a towel under the door. They need to either go all non-smoking, or make the entire third floor smoking. Tricky to get to this hotel from the south even with a GPS - exit highway to the east and continue onto a poorly marked frontage road and then cross over freeway. Very basic room with only two pillows but everything was very clean and linens smelled fresh. Small "queen" bed which was very firm. The room had a full size refrigerator, two burner stove, […] microwave, toaster, coffee maker and even a few dishes. Bathroom fan sounded like a jet engine and ran with the light switch. No complimentary breakfast and no breakfast areas nearby. Very quiet area with no traffic noise at night. It is easy to get back to Mayo Clinic and there is a small shopping mall just to the south. Lobby smelled like smoke. Kitchen lacked coffee mugs. But the place was clean and quiet and we got a really affordable price - the location is near enough to downtown rochester.

"Great value at a Comfortable Hotel"
This last minute July trip meant late bookings for rooms in an area not visited before. So we weren't exactly sure where we would be. The room was large, clean, and a great value. I was, quite frankly, surprised at the quality for the price paid. It included a kitchen area with a large refrigerator, dishes and silverware. It would have been a comfortable […] location for a longer stay. The neighborhood sort of felt like an industrial park, but since we weren't booking for a recreational location, that was fine. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. If you are staying here, be sure and take your own toiletries. There is no breakfast provided, but there is coffee in the room. Price was great. Hotel had everything I needed. This is a great hotel for budget minded people. I will use this hotel every time I stay in Roch for work. Only downside, oldschool small TV.

It was convenient and affordable, but apparently most of the smokers in rochester thought so too. The hotel had serveral rooms available but they were all smoking. "ext stay in NW Rochester"
The hotel room overall was clean but the bed was uncomfortable and the shower had no pressure. I would stay there again though cause it was nice location and clean.
Perfect hotel for a long stay especially for mayo patients. I was very pleased with the extreme kidness of the staff. The only thing I didn't like was that my room was not cleaned the entire month a was there. But besides that I really enjoyed my stay and the shuttle service was great. I would def stay again

The Extended Stay America - Rochester North offers a good value. The price was better than most hotels in the vicinity. The room was spacious, with a double bed, desk, dresser, TV, table, kitchen, and bathroom. Everything was in good condition and clean. "Nice kichenette and close to shopping, shuttle to"
Nice staff with excellent shuttle to Mayo clinic. Close to shopping and restaurants. It was cold outside, but very comfortable in my room.
The sheets were dirty and there was garbage left in the garbage can in the bathroom. I got switched to a different room and the sheets smelled like body odor. The front desk person as very nice and helpful when I checked in; however, the front desk person when I checked out was extremely rude.

We will definitely stay again, next time in Rochester. It felt very homelike. Wonderful selection of shopping and restaurants near by. The only negative was having to pay for internet.

"Be wary pet owners"
I booked this hotel because I was traveling with cats, the location to the business I needed to do and the price. The online info said $25 for pets up to $150, which I took to mean per stay. In reality, it was $25 per pet so with 3 cats, they cost more for the night than I did. The real drag, however, was that there was no bed barrier, which I consider […] a must for traveling with small animals because under the bed is the favorite place for scared animals to hide. Needless to say, it took me quite a while and much frustration to get my cat out from under the bed. On the plus side, for an extra $25 they did let me check out as late as 3 pm so that I could complete my business, leave the cats in the hotel on a very hot day and not pay for an additional night. My husband and I travel to Rochester periodically and we always stay at Extended Stay North. The hotels' staff is very personable and accomodating. I've stayed at this hotel and I like the full refrigerator and the cook-top stove. If you are staying for more than one day...stay here. It's worth the money if you are planning a extended stay and have medical appointments that take more than one day. The beds aren't the greatest for comfort unless you like a hard bed. "My experience"
Overall, Extended stay provided me with everything I needed. I would suggest that they remove the carpet from the common areas & replace with tile. The carpet coming out of the elevator & in the halls were pretty stained up. I had requested a smoking room but was put in a non-smoking room on the smoking floor. After 2 nights, they moved me to a smoking […] room. The inital room's pillows were lumpy but the second room's pillows were just fine.
