PGA National Resort and Spa - Palm Beach Gardens

I have frequented The PGA resort for multiple events for business. This was the first occasion I stayed overnight, and unfortunately, it was my last. I will note that the hotel was accommodating as far as early check in. My complaint begins when someone started banging on my door after 11 pm at night. At first, I ignored the knocking, thinking it was […] the door next to mine. A half an hour later the banging on the door begins again. I repeatedly called the front desk to inform them that there is someone banging on my door, although no one answers. I, then, proceed, to call the PGA resort telephone number on my cell, which connects me to an operator. After I explain that I do not feel safe and I am staying by myself. The operator attempts to reassure me that security is being sent and someone will return my call. Another twenty minutes pass, I call the front desk again, and immediately ask for a manager. The manager told me that the situation was being handled - FANTASTIC - except that the 2 hr knocking fiasco kept me awake and I was scared to fall back asleep, even though they told me security was going to be walking through the floors. In my opinion, I DO NOT think this establishment is worth a 4 star rating. I was greatly disappointed by the manner in which the manager and security and front desk personnel handled the entire incident. Lisätietoja

The pictures that were shown for the rooms in the page did not match with the room that I booked at all. I did not like that.

They have everything covered here; golf, spa, restaurant, cafe, pool, convenience store, retail, bar and live entertainment!!

I paid an extra fee for an upgrade to a "deluxe" room...turned out it was the identical room that my golf group received for much less!

Deserves every iota of praise it receives!

They bang you out for Internet 25$ plus resort fee and don't eat breakfast unless u want to burn another 25 $ per person.

Although the bed was comfortable, the room had a stale ordor.. The bathroom was very old.. The grout around the tub was stained with previous mildew..I was very disappointed with the lack of concern at the front desk when I disclosed my discontent..

Very nice resort with lots of activities for the entire family. Rooms were a little out dated but very comfortable. Plan on staying there again

My Only complaint has to do with the pillows. Seriously... the worst pillows I've found in a hotel. Other than that it was great! Enjoyed it very much.

Have plenty of extra spending money when you check in. First there's the surprise resort fee. Then if your thirsty, a bottle of is six bucks. Had a prepackaged turkey sandwich and two pops at the coffee shop and paid $30. Couldn't afford to eat at the restaurant after that. Golf courses + lobby of Hotel are ok, however, the rooms are out-dated.

Room reservation was not honored - booked a king - hotel apologized they were busy - ok in that case how about a room with a nice view ? No sorry - this is all we have ..... Maybe it was the surprise, mandatory "facility fee" I learned about at check in that put me in a grouchy mood with this hotel. Bottles of water with price labels greet you on arrival at the room, and you have to ask for a fridge to put them in. I walk into the hotel with three shirts on hangers that had fallen in the car and landed on the floor. The front desk clerk asked if I wanted the three shirts pressed...15 minuts later there was a knock on the door and three freshly pressed shirts...free of charge. Now thats service. BSL

This hotel delivered everything represented on hotels.com and its website. Our room was spacious and looked as pictured. Staff was friendly and helpful and the walk in pool was a great hit with our kids(3 and 6 years. Great Experience and lots of great shopping in the area.

Hotel was not a resort like others I have stayed at. I would not call it a resort but a golf course with rooms for rent. The description of the property is inaccurate when it comes to pools - only 2 are accessible to guests - the others come with an additional fee of $25 on top of the $25 resort fee. loved the bar overlooking the beach. disliked the unfriendly bartenders! TWICE waited too long for service when they were just standing around. AND when we asked to change the channel to watch a ball game - bartender said NO because THEY were watching the tennis match. It was just what the Dr. ordered for an quick get away. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The spa was an A+. We ordered room service, which was quick and delicious. I was a little disappointed in the bathroom. It's small and it was not up to my standards of cleanliness. Large rooms with nice furniture, a terrific open lobby area with large bar, piano in the evening, spectacular and gigantic pool and view of it from the lobby. If available request a room with a poolside view which looks south over a lagoon as well.

The service at this hotel was excellent and it was a lovely place to stay, especially over the holidays. We weren't sure before we got there if it would be a kid-friendly place (being a golf resort), but there were many Christmas/holiday activities for the whole family and it was decorated beautifully. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is beautiful. I can't wait for the spa to be upgrade. The pool and the grounds are wonderful. I was disappointed with the service at breakfast. I had to get my own coffee and water. Just a greatplace to stay even if you're not into golf. The clientel is a bit upscale but nobody bothered me in my regular shirts and non-designer t shirt. The $25 facility fee is a bit of a scam since we really didn't do much but swim and most hotels don't charge to use the pool.

We were impressed with the drive onto the hotel grounds as it was gorgeous. The lobby continued to impress us with it's style and decorum, which was enhanced by its spaciousness. However, when we reached the room, our delight ended for the most part. The room fell short of expectations. The rest of the hotel showed that the renovations last year were […] well done, but maybe they should have taken a portion of that money and updated the rooms. Namely the following: the ceiling tiles, vents to be cleaned and maintenance, new or at least safe hair dryer in room and updated decor. We could not locate a comment card within the room, but we made a list on a provided notepad and passed it along to the check-out clerk. A great place to stay. Very nice to be at the golf course when you wake up. Staff was great and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Only down side was the resort fee. The Air Conditioning did not keep the room cool, and moved the ceiling tiles as it turned on and off. The unit was unclean, rust, dust and mold could be seen. The Bathroom had stains of an unknown stuff, that had not been cleaned from the wall paper. The Desk agent said there was nothing she could do.... The hotel is in a great location for the Palm Beach Gardens area. It is close to wonderful restaurants. My only beef is going to the hotel restaurant which was empty of guests and being told we needed to sit in the outside area as we did not have a reservation. We were really looking forward to a relaxing getaway when we booked our stay at PGA. And, while we did enjoy the July 4th pool party, we were disappointed in the room, it's cleanliness and the service personnel. Even though it was offseason and the hotel was less than half full, we were given a room overlooking the parking lot with double beds, even […] though I had booked a king room. In addition, while there were a few bright spots, I found the front desk and valet service lackluster at best, and on at least one occasion downright rude. The room service and pool staff were great, though! Lastly, our room 1) smelled like animal urine, 2) had stained linens, and 3) had dirt and trash on the bathroom floor. The iron had old, stale water in it and had probably never been cleaned. And, the first day there we did not have a bath mat (so getting out of a clean shower onto a dirty floor required using a towel as a mat). I did enjoy the spa, but cancelled a massage after seeing the cleanliness issues in the rooms. The grounds an public areas were beautiful, and while we would ordinarily highly recommend such a resort to friends and family, I cannot get beyond the cleanliness problems to do so. PGA Nat'l. was in a great location for our house hunting venture. We felt really good coming back each evening and Chris, Maria and Eli at the bar were a true delight. I would definitely recommend this hotel and the restaurant too. Dinners at the surrounding restaurants were a breeze to drive to. Enjoy!

I booked one night for father's day for my husband and I along with spa treatments for both of us. Since check in time isn't until 4, we went to the spa and used the spa facilites until about 5 and then went to check in. Upon arrival to check in we were greated with "we are overbooked". I responded with my printed reservation and was horrified by the […] greeting of a supposed 5 star resort. It took about 20 minutes to straighten it out and then when we arrived in the room it was 2 double beds instead of the reserved king. At that point I was just thankful for the room and we made do. The only thing that bugged me is I asked for a room with a view and the girl at the front desk said, "that it would cost 25 dollars", there was NO ONE at the resort and we paid a 20 dollar resort fee!
