Royal Palm Beach Resort - Philipsburg

Great location for convenience to restaurants. Our condo needed some attention. Burned out light bulbs, one sliding door didn't open, tile grout needed cleaning and shower floors were kind of yucky. The streets are all narrow and the drivers do not yield to pedestrians. Stick to the treadmill in the hotel gym. This is not a hotel but a timeshare had a fully equipped kitchen. Kitchen included oven & broiler,stove, microwave, refrigerator with water and ice dispenser, three sizes of Cuisenart brand non-stick pots with covers, stainless steel frying pan, dishwasher and dishwasher powder detergent, glass mixing bowls, different sizes of forks, spoons, unfortunately […] dull knives, bottle opener, dish drying rack, different seized plates, cups, glasses including vine glasses, coffe and coffee maker, tea, non-dairy creamer, sugar, little bit of salt and pepper, toaster, blender, baking dish and a broiler rack. Combination safe. TV in each room. Big flat TV in the living room. Room gets cleaned twice a week or more often at extra fee. This is the fourth time we have stayed at the Royal Palm. The location is great-loads of restaurants within walking distance. Close to brand new supermarket. New French bakery across the street. 5 minutes from airport. The units are spacious and comfortable with two bedrooms, two full baths and well-equipped kitchen. The Royal Palm Beach is an older time share/hotel situated in a great location in Simpson Bay with an easy walk to a grocery store and many restaurants and shops but it is in need of some upgrades. The beach and pool area out side are very nice and well maintained. The lobby is quite small and the desk service is slow. This is the only are you can get […] wi-fi. The rooms have nice views but are in need of some update. In our room, the windows leaked from rain, there were a couple of tile missing from the balcony, and one of the doors to the bathroom didn't shut properly. awesome hotel in awesome location we were pleased to see just a nice two bedroom suite for us after a long day of traveling - worth it! Nice to get a tan at a beach just few minutes of walking from the hotel!

I love the location of this hotel. It is close to many restaurants and th activities desk is very helpful. We went on a sunset sail for just $15 pp. The only downside is that the rooms do not have internet. This was ok since I just brought my laptop to the lobby where they have free wifi. Large Rooms, Small beach, dirty bathrooms, dirty floors, ok location.

The room was very spacious and modern. Location good, walking distance to fun restaurants. May have been experiencing some problems with the housekeeping since the lines were not changed and the room was not ready until 5:50 pm, when another room was eventually assigned (checkin in 4:00 pm and we arrived at 12:30). Just returned from our sixth trip to St. Maarten, And read all previous reviews and was skeptical of staying at the Royal Palm Resort. However this hotel was one of the best hotels we stayed at in St Maarten our room was facing the ocean so beautiful, the bed rooms were big enough for our family, our childred had their room with their own bathroom, […] tv,king size bed they had a wonderful time. Our room was even bigger with it's own tv,ipod dock,king size bed very comfy,stand up shower we loved it. the living room combo with full kitchen was to die for. Can't say anything wrong. The Royal staff were very friendly informative and helpfull keeping up with the island logo "The Friendly Island".
