I loved the grounds. There is a great board walk and lovely bar/grill in the lagoon. Very fun.

Upon arrival I was disappointed because I had searched for "beach front hotels" and the Wyndham is about a 15 minute drive from the beaches of Panama City. But it turned it to be a great thing! The pools are nice, the dock and restaurant out on the dock was picture perfect. And the ferry ride out to Shell Island was incredible. I have never stepped […] foot in such beautiful sand- it felt like the caribbean. And the emerald water was beautiful. While at shell island, my boyfriend and I were the only ones within 300 yards and it was so serene and peaceful. Far better than dealing with high school kids playing loud music and screaming and throwing balls at each other. I will definitely stay here again. My wife and I stayed for Easter weekend,April 2012. The Hotel is situated in a great location overlooking St.Andrews bay. The staff was curtious and friendly even though the hotel was over booked for the weekend. Dissappointed when we were told that our room hadn't been cleaned yet when we arrived. Check in's at 3PM we got there at 5PM. When we got […] to the room it wasn't as clean as it could have been and we had to call for service cause they didn't leave any bath towels. We paid for a king bed, with a view and the desk clerk told us that we would be getting an upgrade but we got a dissappointing view of the dock. this stay was great, the only problem we had was the internet cut out, but they got it fixed, and the tv wouldnt change channels

Upon our arrival we waited 25 minutes to check-in only to be told our room was not ready. Check-In was at 4 pm we didn't arrive until 5:30 pm. When I requested a late check-out of 12pm and was denied.
We experienced multiple problems at this hotel. Rooms were not ready at check in as promised, they were very small and not clean. There was no place in the room to sit other than the bed. No desk or other chairs present in the room. Management was not helpful at all in accommodating guest needs.
My daughter and I stayed at this resort for 4 nights. We spent 2 nights in 2 different rooms due to how we scheduled our stay. Our first 2 nights were spent in a "resort view" room. The view from the room was awesome, it overlooked thebeautiful landscaping. The only real problem with the first room was the cleanliness of the bathroom. There were dark […] black hairs in the shower and on the floor of the bathroom. My daughter and I are both blondes so they were not our hair. With the exception of that, the rooms seemed pretty clean. The last 2 nights we stayed in a "bay view" room. The view of the bay was beautiful and sitting out on the porch each night was very relaxing. The bathroom of this room was much cleaner than that first room. The beds in both room and pillows were very comfortable. Both rooms had a mid-sized refridgerator and a flat screened tv. The beach at the resort and the long dock out to the beach were probably our favorite part of the resort. The private beach was beautiful. There were many sea creatures to watch and catch and it was nice and relaxing just laying in the sand. There is also a free boat trip out to Shell Island which was included with our stay. "A perfect romantic getaway"
A nice place to relax and have fun on the beach. Lots of things to do and places to see. The only setback was the Kingfish restaurant at the resort which lacked service and the response was bad too. Other than that, my stay was pleasurable.

Housekeeping was not good. The vent in bathroom needed to be cleaned. The elevators and gym equipment need to be updated. I would only recommend once these items were fixed. Great location but private beach wasn't big enough.
"Minor Issues but Overall a Great Stay"
This hotel was located on the bay side away from all the chaos of spring breakers which was nice. Plenty of families with young children but suprisingly the noice wasn't bad considering our room was on the first floor and opened up to one of the pools. Parking was free and had good amount available in close proximity to room. Did not use room service […] or any of the restaurants but pricing on the room service menu seemed reasonable for this type of hotel. The only issues I had were the beds were a little harder than I would like, carpet really needs to be cleaned in room, and the bathtub was not jetted as indicated in the Hotels.com description. "Ladies - bring your own pillow and hair dryer!"
Bring your own pillows and hair dryer! On the king szed bed there were 4 pillows however they were small square down pillows (about the sixe of a sofa accent pillow) that shrank to nothing when you used them. I should have also read the room features better and realized there were no hair dryers. Rooms these days all seem to have those wall mounted […] units so I didn't pack mine. stayed in one of the villas,the room had a connecting door which is fine but might want to use a more solid door to block more noise from other room. we had very loud neighbors.

Loved the hotel and everything was very nice. The only thing for us that was missing in the room was a Microwave. Kids wanted to heat up their breakfast or reheat pizza or something. But over all it was great.
Beautiful Resort, but cleaniness was an issue. Probably would not stare there again.

Was close to everthing and was very comfort the only thing was the hot tub in the indoor pool area we could not get the jets to come on. Everything else was excelent. The information desk was very helpful to us. I would stay there again. Thanks for the great service.

Nice looking grounds, but did not explore as only stayed overnight. Staff pleasant. Room lacked A/C, so the humidity was difficult to get used to, but overhead fan was strong. Decor appears to be from the 70's (acoustic ceiling, fabrics on furniture) but room was clean. Would stay again.

I stayed at the Wyndham for a weekend of peace and quiet by myself. I was impressed by the staff and the hotel location. It had incredible views and the staff was very friendly. I received a great rate because the summer season had not started and I think I will be back once the weather is warmer. The rooms could use some updating but it was an overall […] enjoyable stay! "Great Place to Stay"
I've reviewed this place before when it was owned by Marriott; my wife and I had reservations about staying there when we learned Wyndham had taken over. We are delighted to report our concerns were unfounded, this is still an excellent place to stay overall. We live about seventy miles from PC and like to go down for a night or two at the beach at […] least a couple times a year; the BayPoint has become our place of first choice; excellent accomodations, service and amenities. Any problems we've encountered have usually been quickly remedied. It is NOT located on the strip, but as we are in our middle age we do not want to be in the middle of that noise and confusion. The last time we stayed on the beach itself we were greeted to our motel by the site of a young man falling to his death from a fifth floor balcony. Not our idea of a good time. The Bay Point is close enough to the beach and all the activities to be able to enjoy them, but far enough away to get away from the nonsense to enjoy some quiet time. There is a shuttle to Shell Island and a semi-private beach there, not to mention indoorand outdoor pools. Overall, a great place to stay. Lisätietoja

We loved this vacation. The property is not on the beach but it is on the bay with a boat to shell island for water fun... the best of both worlds at a reasonable price. The weather was up and down but the staff was always up..... friendly and helpful. We will be back next year.

The Wyndham Bay Point Resort is a really nice & comfortable place to stay. The only thing I had concerns with was that I used my debit card to book my room and I wasn't aware until I got to the hotel to check in that I would be charged an additional $50 per day to cost incidentals and it would take 5-7 business days to refund the charges and you are […] charged upfront for the number of days that you are staying. "Would go again"
Stayed 3 nights in mid December and had the whole place to myself. Very nice accommodations, very nice staff, nice grounds and neighborhood to walk around in including mini nature preserve, golf, and small private beach. Would go again. Not sure what it'd be like in Spring Break.

This is a resort that is a little out of the way for work stay but Panama City isn't that big so its not that much of a problem I didn't stay long enough to enjoy any of the resort amenities No continental breakfast
