The Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center is a Florida-theme resort located one mile from Walt Disney World in Kissimmee, Fla. The resort is within 10 miles of Universal Studios, Orange County Convention Center and shopping at Pointe Orland.
Hotel Features.
The Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center encases an almost five-acre atrium that contains smaller versions of Florida attractions like Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth and the Everglades. A wharf features a 60-foot sailboat. Dining options range from casual to haute cuisine including the Old Hickory Steakhouse, Villa de Flora, Java Coast and a Haagen Dazs Ice Cream Shop.
A business center provides high-speed Internet access for a fee and the adjoining convention center offers 400,000 square feet of meeting space. Relâche spa offers spa services in 25 European-inspired suites and includes a full-service salon and fitness center.
Recreation includes the adjacent Falcon's Fire Golf Course, an Art Deco South Beach adult-only pool with tinted cabanas featuring high-speed Internet access and poolside massages, and a family Marine Pool with an octopus water slide and sandy play area for children. Shuttle service to Disney theme parks and Downtown Disney is complimentary. Baby-sitting services are available for a fee.
Guestrooms.
Designed with themes inspired by Florida regions depicted in the hotel atrium, all 1,406 guestrooms feature cable/satellite TV and CD players. High-speed Internet access and daily newspapers are complimentary. Baths are equipped with granite vanities and supply luxury toiletries. Rooms feature a computer station and laptop-compatible safes. Refrigerators and complimentary bottled water are also offered.

Oikein hyvä perushotelli tapahtumien ja palveluiden keskellä. Hyvät kulkuyhteydet moneen suuntaan. Lippupalvelu aulassa ja hyvä ravintola ja pikku kauppa perustarpeineen ja matkamuistoineen samassa rakennuksessa. Siisti hotelli ei kuitenkaan luksus josta joutuisi pulittamaan itsensä kipeäksi. Keskitason yläpuolella kuitenkin. Palvelu aulassa oli todella tökeröä eikä hymyä tarvinnut odottaa saavansa missään kohtaa. Hoitivat kuitenkin asiat mitä pitikin. Yöpyisin todennäköisesti täällä uudelleen jos samaan suuntaan eksyn.

Hinta-laatu-suhde todellakin kohdillaan! Iso siisti huone, jossa mikroaaltouuni ja jääkaappi. Hotellin uima-allasalue siisti ja viihtyisä. Ilmainen kuljetus teemapuistoihin ja takaisin. Hotellin aulassa on lippumyyntipiste, josta kannattaa ostaa etukäteen liput teemapuistoihin. Paljon ravintoloita lähellä.
"Lovely Holiday home away from home!"
My husband and I took our daughter to Orlando for Christmas weekend. Gaylord palms was the best choice we could've made. The hotel was beautiful and engaging at every moment. We always had something fun to do. Planning to go again!

Wow! What a fantastic place! We were there for one night beginning on Christmas day. We had to check out of our condo somewhere else by 10am, but the Gaylord Palms was able to put us in a room right away. The place was BEAUTIFUL! "I felt it was way over priced!"
The hotel was beautiful, frontdesk staff was very friendly. Room with view beautiful ! Just don't order any food, prices were outrageous ! And food was terrible! After all the fee add-ons and $17 for 2 bags of. Chip, 14 dollars for a drink, $42 for 2 small pizzas That were terrible! Not priceless!

"Christmas at Gaylord"
We were in Room 7139 awesome complete view of atrium you could see the ship of key west to the xmas tree. The staff is very friendly, we had lunch at the keywest boat maybe not worth it then again all there restaurants are not cheap, save some $$ go on the strip its 2 min. away. The atmosphere is what you pay for. The Ice show with shrek was a reasonable […] price for FL residents but for almost $30 a piece if your not it can add up. This is a great place to stay during the Christmas Holidays. The hotel is beautiful and has a variety of things to do for all ages. One of the things is it had no microwave in the room to heat the wonderful danish, The walk is amazing , The atrium is gorgeous we had a great meal at the Old Smoke House. Overall it was a nice weekend.

Although the hotel is beautiful and a convient location, they neglected to change the description that the family pool with the slides for kids, the playgroung and the kids activities were not there during our stay. They are under much construction (not sure if it will include kids stiff) and our child was bored. I have gotten better ammenities and restaurants at a 3-star hotel. The Gaylord is suppose to be the best hotel in Kissimmee. I beg to differ. We thought the Omni at Champions gate, the JW Marriott and even the fall special at the Buena Vista Palace Resort and Spa was much better. The hotel was beautiful, but i was very upset when i receive the final invoice with extra fees i didint expect. This guys charge for parking (around$15 a night) this is ridiculus. And also they charger a "Resort Fee" because they give you 2 bottles of water in your room and they have wireless which i didnt even knew we had it, and didnt need it. "Relaxing Atmosphere"
Following the resort clearing up a mix-up on thier part with regard to my receiving a Florida view versus a confirmed Atrium view; I would have to say that my stay was very relaxing, peaceful, and hassle free. I had shuttle service to and from the hotel, so getting there from and back to the airport was no problem. "Gaylord Palms - disappointed with room"
I've been to this hotel several times in the past and never had any problem, but my recent stay wasn't up to par because the room wasn't well kept. The beds were dishevled upon arrival and there were small ants crawling on the nightstand. When I pulled out the nightstand to find the source of the problem, there were pieces of paper and a sizeable collection […] of dust and hair. Obviously no one had thoroughly cleaned this in a while. I picked up the phone to call the front desk and it didn't work properly. During my stay, I noticed a couple of used pizza boxes on the floor next to the stairwell that remained there throughout the 2 nights/3 days of my stay, despite seeing housekeeping on the floor each day. Overall there was just a lack of attention to the rooms that was obvious and was unexpected for the caliber of this property. The public parts of the hotel were gorgeous, as usual, and well kept. Our room was dirty upon check-in so we had to be moved to another room (30mins wasted)...and I mean dirty as in towels used and still on floor, dirty glasses on tables, etc... "Gaylord - Orlando"
Enjoyed it very much. However, our shower over flowed and the bathroom was under an inch of water and wet my new wife's wedding gown. Hotel dry cleaned it and gave us an upgrade to suite. Suite shower leaked on to the floor also, but not as bad. Service was excellent. Had dinner in shack-type restaurant on premises. Very luxurious exteriors, rooms were about average by contrast. Housekeeping was excellent. Magnetic keys were very sensitive and failed to operate after being next to cell phone or wallet. Great location - with everything you need to have a wonderful time whether it is pleasure or business. Close to all the amusement parks and shopping. Also close to International Pkwy if you want to eat at known franchise restaurants and stores (if budget restraints are a concern). Fantastic food at the restaurant if you are closed in. A really awesome […] pool for the kids. Rooms are quiet so you don't hear your neighbors and the bed and bathrooms provide what ever you need (ie peace and sleep). The are additional charges for parking and additional services which are not uncommon for the level of hotel that the Gaylord is. Company convention site, 3day stay. Beautiful and Unique hotel. Able to hold large convention without having people fall all over themselves as well as provide banquet settings and essential support which encompasses registrations, speaking rooms with table and chairs. "Excellent Hotel in great location for Disney"
Hotel is really close to the Disney arch entrance to Disney and also not too far along I4 to the Premium Outlets! Rooms are very clean and quite spacious. We stayed in a Florida view room and it was very quiet allowing us to have a really good sleep each night. Atrium is fab and has lots of photo opportunities! "Nickle and dimed"
I was not at all happy with the way charges get loaded on at Gaylord Palms. The resort fee- I was there to attend a conference and not for vacation- was absurd. I asked about waiving this and they would not consider it. Second the parking fee. There is nothing near the hotel and therefor no pressure for parking. The fee is a pure revenue enhancer. I […] live in Floirda and most hotels and certainly the ones in non-urban areas do not charge for parking. Then by the time the taxes get applied, how about that additional Osceola county fee- for what? "Exceeded expectations"
Having missed the housing deadline for the conference we were attending at the Gaylord Palms, I was searching online for options and found the hotel losted on hotels.com for even a little less than the conference rate, plus a bonus gift for booking. The hotel is fabulous with everything you will need right on site. The restaurants while exceptional […] are a bit pricey but worth the costs. Convenient to all the Orlando attractions, and quite accomodating to your needs, even sending someone to make up the room later in the evening when I had accidently left the "do not disturb" light on while we were out for the entire day.
