Lord Leycester Hotel - Warwick

This hotel is in need of some work. They were renovation a back restaurant when I stayed but there is no atmosphere and small rooms make it feel empty.

room was freezing cold, very old, very small. Never recommend. The worst 2 star much less a 3 star I have ever stayed in.. staff was friendly... never again

Not a impressive hotel at all. The location, 24 hour bar and lounge are the only positives. The room is old but spacious. I would recommend the hotel if you are visiting the Castle or want to stay in Warwick town center for a cheap rate.

Bang in the centre of Warwick, couldn't complain about the location. The choice was this or something more modern at the outskirts of town, for me that's no choice. I didn't expect much and I wasn't disappointed. Room was a little bit of a squeeze and took forever for the hot water to kick in for the shower (it eventually did after about 3/4 mins). […] Wouldn't want to spend any sort of time in it, but for getting your head down for a night, it's fine. It is right in the centre of Warwick, very close to the station. The entrance was smart but the room wasn't in the best decorative condition. I found the room very comfortable, although the people that I was travelling with had problems getting hot water in the shower (mine was fine). It had all the basics that you would want, including tea, coffee, […] iron etc. I would certainly be happy to stay there again. Basic but great central location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Window took a little effort to open but other than that a relatively basic room but with everything you need. Good for visiting other local sites.

I used this hotel for a business trip so was drawn to it for its location. The location is good, right in the middle of Warick right on the high street. The hotel its self is old and needs a lot of work to bring it up to scratch and the car park is too small for the hotal! If you need to stay somewhere in Warick and dont care about what the hotel is […] like this is for you but if you want a nice hotel, wich is modern and well maintained give this one a miss! An old hotel that is showing it's age in every way. Unstable floorboards, lumpy bed, poor and cheap secondary double glazing that was useless in the bedroom and the chipped enamel bath were examples of why I won't be using this hotel again. My room faced the main road and it was noisey - not that it prevented me from sleeping as the lumpy bed did that […] on it's own. There was also a musty smell in the hotel. In the morning, there was only one waiter working and he struggled to cope with the demand. I heard a number of customers grumbling about the service. The hotel is well-located at the centre of medieval Warwick. However, the hotel is showing its age more in the maintenace and standard of facilities than its location and facade. Rooms are located up narrow staircases and corridors, with carpets showing signs of their wear. The Room we had was comfortable enough on first sight with reasonable facilities […] for a 3* hotel. However, the proof was in the sleeping - the rooms have very poor internal sound insulation, so that not only every creak of floorboards and noise of late night fellow residents returning to their rooms was heard, but also the snoring of residents from several rooms. The room was also too warm (despite radiator being turned off and window opened) and the narrow double bed was soft and too giving. My general impression was that the rooms and corridors at the back of the hotel needed to be rebuilt to much higher standards - however, even mild refurbishment of replacing and sound-sealing room doors would make a great difference to the experience of an overnight stay. We didn't experience breakfast or the hotel bar - the rooms looked okay as we walked by - so our negative experience was heavily weighted by a poor nights sleep. Lisätietoja

I've stayed in several hotels around the Leamington / Warwick area now and this is probably the best and certainly would be my first choice for a weekend break. Good location right in the centre of town, clean and quiet. The price was probably a little high - though reflected in the quality even if any kind of breakfast wasn't included.

I stay in hotels all over the world, and can truly say that I can not recall a worse night's sleep. Room temperature was in the high 20's with no adjustment. Facing the road, very noisy. Bathroom very very cramped and not clean. Breakfast was vile.

Charming and comfortable room, good breakfast, great location in center of Warwick next to Warwick Castle, very good service

First of all I would praise the staff at the Lord Leycester as they were very good. The downside of this hotels are the rooms, often there was no cold water with hot coming out of both taps, the water could also be brown on occasions. The rooms and corridors are very dated, we stayed whilst the weather was very hot and due to a fire escape and flat […] roof being adjacent to our window we couldn't leave the windows open as access could be gained from the car park by anyone walking past. With some money invested the hotel has the potential to be very good, however in the condition it is in we most certainly would not stat there again. Lisätietoja

Everything was fine for our needs. Cold water took a few minutes to arrive from the faucet. Only bad thing was a very loud wedding reception, but they gave us another room. I wouldn't let that stop me from staying there in the future.

Lord Leycester Hotel at Warwick: - Rooms in bad condition. - Carpets really dirty. - Sheets (although washed) had several stains. - No heating control. - No elevator access.
