"OK hotel but far from everywhere"
Had a conference here. The hotel and confrerence rooms are OK, but not great. We were somewhat dissapointed that the hotel is really far from the "Centro" (downtown) and that one must use taxis to go anywhere - restaurant, sightseeing, etc. A typical one-way cab fare is 12-25 reals depending on where you go. But you have to find out where to go - it […] is much better to be where things are so you can walk around and e.g. pick a restaurant rather than having to look at reviews online (btw. the internet in the hotel is attrociously slow) and then take a cab there. This hotel is located reasonably close to the airport. The room was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was quite good. Internet was readily available.
