Hotels.comin asiakkaan arvostelu helmi 3, 2013Sijainniltaan mainio hotelli keskellä kaupunkia ja nähtävyyksiä. Huoneet ovat ok kunnossa, ei mitään luksusta, mutta ei juuri muita puutteita paitsi minibaari/jääkaappi puuttuu. Tätä hieman kompensoi teen ja kahvin keittomahdollisuus. Siisteydessä ja puhtaudessa ei mitään valittamista. Palvelu on ystävällistä ja aamiainen mannermainen, mahansa saa kyllä täyteen. Kokonaisuutena virallista luokitustaan parempi hotelli ja todella hyvä hinta-laatusuhde.

This was our second stay at The Lowry and we will definitely be returning. It's pricey but exactly what you would expect from a 5* hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of Spinningfields and the main shopping centre. "Disappointed"
Not a great start when they make you feel like a criminal because you don't want to leave a credit card imprint...I have staying in 100s of hotels, most much nicer than this one and nobody has ever threatened to clear out the mini bar incase I was to run away with the contents!! Unbelievable. To then be treated with a cracked sink with a hole in it, […] cracked floor tiles and moody grout only increased my dislike of the hotel. The gym has very dated equipment and no air con, leaving the door open to the reception area didn't help the temperature. When I asked for some ice and for someone to come and look at the antiquated air con in the room the response was to charge me £5 for the ice...nobody turned up to look at the air con so the room was unbearably hot....the controls have 3 settings, hot, med, cool...cool ain't cool!! "BEST IN MANCHESTER?"
High end hotel which is as good as a provincial hotel gets ( it's not The Dorchester or The Ritz). Helpful and friendly valet parking and check in. Our ' standard room' was bigger than average and well appointed, with good seating and desk area and an oversize bed. Bathroom was fine, shower over the bath ( which was the narrowest bath I have experienced), […] but it worked well. Dinner in the River Restaurant was a triumph. This is perhaps one of the best hotels in Manchester, and the reason why they normally charge so much. I wouldn't normally have a need to pay for such extravagance, but this was in a deal. Its not cheap but you get what you pay for. Plush hotel, fabulous rooms and a good view. A 5 minute walk down the canal gets you to the center of Manchester. Had to change first room due to nasty carpet cleaner smell. Next room not much better. The whole place felt sorta grimy and did not live up at all to the standards i was hoping for. The room was big and had a dated seventies look with little to recommend it. Not one single room in this hotel has a window that opens, which was bad given the smell. I have passed the Lowry many times in the course of my job and always thought it looked reminiscent of a hotel on one of the Costas. The immediate vicinity is uninspiring (if you want kerb appeal then stay at The Midland.) However look past the ugly exterior and this is a truly wonderful hotel. We took one of the standard rooms with a city view (the […] river really isn't worth it). The room was massive, while the decor was simple yet sumptuous. I cannot fault the service in any way. Staff were extremely helpful,room was very nice although the 2 beds pushed together resulted in a dip in the middle slightly uncomfortable for a deluxe room! Contemporary fittings although some showing signs of wear and threshold step from room into bathroom was porr design. Good city hotel for an overnight stay. i stayed night before concert and was convenient for eating out etc. Many restaurants on your doorstep. Hotel staff polite and courteous.
