Met Hotel - New Westminster

Great, clean older building so has more character than the normal modern built hotels. Very well maintained, extremely courteous front desk staff. Rooms at the back are a bit noisy due to sky train noise, but didn't stop us getting a good sleep between 11pm and 7am.

The hotel was quite. Staff was great. There was no front desk help past 11:00pm but it wasn't an issue. The view was of the of an alleyway which wasn't the greatest but also was the worst. Very comfortable and clean.

This hotel surprised me. We couldn't find it at first, it had a small lobby area, but the rooms were very nice.

The hotel is older and quirky. The rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. The staff was helpful and friendly.

I thought the location was not the best at first until I noticed that the police station was close by. It was fairly noisy but the noise died down by 11. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Over all it was a good value for what we paid. The location was good and central to everything.

Will never stay there again. Had to go to front desk for ice only to find out that they do not have anyone after 11:00 p.m. Had to pay for parking at 10 dollars a day. god forbid that you go out for a smoke, you get harrassed for cigarettes and change within seconds. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Just needed a quiet place for an over night stay in new west. This small compact hotel was perfect. Quiet clean friendly and conveniently located. I'd stay again. The price was right!

Great location. Helpful staff. Local shopping and restaurants are good. Public parking is nearby. Only problem is loading/unloading as there is no loading zone and NO luggage cart.

This was my second stay, and it was just as good as the first. It is clean, comfortable and professionally run. The staff are either experienced or well-trained. Met our needs perfectly. Location was where we needed, the comfort was fine. The amenties were not 5 star but above what we expected. This is listed as a 2 star, but should be a 3. No parking was the only thing missing.

The receptionist, Sean, was very helpful. This is an older, renovated hotel, close enough to Royal Columbian Hospiatl for those who are visiting there from out of town. It is right on the bus route.We were very happy with our stay.

The front desk staff were extremely personable and the location of the hotel is excellent as it is next door to the skytrain and within walking distance of the quay and restaurants. The hotel itself is somewhat dated though and is in bad need of new carpeting. I would stay there again though because of the staff and location.

Good Value for the Rate Gentleman who checked us in was very friendly. Only 4 floors high, elevator is old but stairs are an option.

I stayed 2 nights at the Met this past weekend, and it was a good stay. The bed was super comfy! The location is perfect, right behind the hotel is Columbia Sky Train. The sound of the train is kinda annoying, but I was able to ignore it. I always have earplugs when I travel just in case. It never once kept me awake. The walls are thin, however and […] I could hear the conversation in the front room. I had room 213 if I remember correctly. Also, the entire place smelled like pizzza both days and nights. I Looooooove pizza, so it was OK for me. The room was very clean, and offered me exactly what I needed for a student on a budget. I would stay again. Staff was very helpful and courteous. This is overall a very good economic hotel. Good price. The only issue is that park is not that convenient.

Very convenient location. Bar / liquor store downstairs, and the food is good. Enough stores nearby to obtain necessities and Skytrain next door to take you everywhere else. parking is too expensive.Very little water pressure on floor #4 rm 438, and tub taps seemed like they were going to fall off.

Very cute hotel. Well worth what I paid. Reminded me of a few places I stayed throughout Europe. Convenient to sky train, and a few shops around to buy drinks etc. highly recommend for a good price

I would recommend that people stay in the back rooms. I found that Columbia Street is very busy and noisy during the night. Other than the noise the hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Great to stay at the Met, very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very spacious, with adequate lighting. Was a bit chilly until I figured out as to how best to use the airconditioning system! The hotel is very centrally located for visitors to New Westminster, steps away from the subway, and plenty of options to step into quaint little places […] down the street. The hotel is great value for money , yeh it's noisey on the train station side but the convenience of the sky train is ideal for trip I took , the beds are very comfy and the staff in the desk were very helpful and friendly , the hotel is clean and there's plenty of bars and restaurants around the area ,i would stay there again !!

Not good. Loud to 2am, noisy to 3am, loud again 3-4am.(Earplugs didn't help) Are Expedia clients given the worst rooms? (over the bar)

This hotel is very basic. It does not include a swimming pool, or a gym. But if you are just looking for a basic place to stay, it is perfect. Its comfortable, very clean, and conveniently located. I was very happy with my stay.

This an older hotel in New Westminster. The rooms are very dated, and the floor we were on had stained carpets leading up to the room. At night my wife had trouble sleeping because of the bar downstairs and the sky train right near our room. Trains run all day and all night on on side of the hotel while the sky-train runs on the other side of the building. You can hear the noise from these constantly no matter where you are in building. To top it off they have a pub below with an outside patio that makes noise late into the night.

The hotel is older, but well kept up. The staff and service are terrific. The rooms are large and well laid out. We could have used a fridge. There is no fitness room.
