Clarion Hotel & Conference Center - Colorado Springs

The hotel is centrally located. The fresh-cooked breakfast was excellent. The staff was very helpful. Having said this, the rooms are in great need of updating. There were cigarette holes in our curtains, and they didn't close properly. The carpet in the room was old and the paint was chipped. The climate control was noisy and old. I had a very pleasant stay at the Clarion. I enjoyed the exercise room, the free wifi and breakfast, and nice staff. Room was very quiet. Quick and easy drive to Colorado College, where my son goes to college. Not the most up-to-date facility, but everything was very clean.

For a quick getaway to the CMZ , a great place, at a great price. Grandkids loved swimming in the pool. Breakfast was as good as any other place (food was hot). The comfort of the bed was not that great, a bit too hard and unyeilding, but a decent night sleep.

Hotel itself is good value for the money. However, neighbourhood has many suspicious characters wandering around so doesn't feel safe. The Internet connection (wireless) was very weak in the back of the hotel where our room was placed. There is a lack of dining options within walking distance, and nothing in the evening at the hotel. Otherwise, clean, comfortable, good sized room. A good stay for the price.

This hotel is a great place for someone on a budget looking to stay central in CO Springs. It offers a hot breakfast buffet, free wi-fi & free parking. LOCATION- Didn't ask about a shuttle into downtown area but it's a quick 2min drive from the hotel over the highway. Garden of the Gods is about 10-15min drive away. Though it's centrally located, I didn't fee quite safe as a solo female traveler due to a kind hotel guest warning me of a creepy wanderer on the outside premises who creeped out his daughter that same night I checked-in. great free breakfast. Nice pool area. Rooms are clean and update, but the hotel is older. Close to downtown and easy access to Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs.

First, the positive...the employees were very friendly and helpful. The hotel, on the other hand was in a bad state of repair. I was terrified every time I got on the elevator that it was going to break down (there was no elevator inspection posted). Also, several of the hallways had ceiling tiles missing or broken with exposed wire hanging out. The […] hotel lobby was about the only clean area in the common use areas of the facility. The hotel is a bit old, and it's not mentioned in advertisements that the property is a shared Clarion/Quality property, but overall it wasn't a bad experience. We stayed on a Monday and they had a shuttle to take us downtown and complimentary drinks while we waited! The next morning we had a hot breakfast of our choice with only tips. Weve stayed at the Hilton near by but they customer service was great and the room was not bad at all so we'll definetly stay at the Clarion over the Hilton

The hotel was nice. I think that we stayed on the Quality Inn side....the surrounding area was worrysome! We were pan handled at the 7-11 across the street. Not safe for a mom and her child visiting for a volleyball tournament. When we got to the hotel at about 7 PM there was no one in either of the lobbies to check us in.

Recently renovated, but should have invested in upgrading the bathroom. Tiles had some mold and it was generally worn and in disrepair. Door to the room wouldn't lock unless you slammed it, and you could hear the guests above every time they walked around in their room.

This hotel was newly renovated and everything is very pretty and clean. The full, hot breakfast was awesome. I would definitely stay there again.

my best friend and I chose this hotel because they had a "heated" pool for our children. Not true. The morning after our stay our hot water in our room didn't even work for at least 2 hours, they were installing a new water heater. There were teenage boys running through the halls all night, and the breakfast food is nasty. Paid way too much for that […] dreadful experience. This hotel had a very friendly staff, great location for my needs and a wonderful breakfast buffet. The hotel eas very outdated in the rooms and hall ways. The pool was great for my kids and the queen size beds in my room were great for my kids. If your looking for a comfort hotel in Colo Springs I would recoomend it especially if you have children. This was one of the best hotels my family and I stayed in on vacation this year. The staff was always friendly, room cleaned well, good breakfast(full,hot)that was free for the entire family. The hotel is right off I25, The staff is friendly and helpful, The breakfast is great, the only thing is the rooms are kind of small.

Got to the hotel no problem. Room of course is smaller than it appears in the pictures. The internet access was limited, sure there were tons of access pts, but the fastest two hookups had no connectivity, basically was limited to email access only (11 mps). The closet door wouldnt stay on the runner for anything! Tiny bathroom, though nicely furnished. […] The bed was comfortable. The outdoor pool is no more, filled in with dirt! Went out in the courtyard, only to find that I was locked out of the building, had to walk all the way around to the front of the building to get back in. Very curtious staff though. The hotel is pretty old, it seems to be a combination of two "prior motels" and they are still renovating. The hallways are like a labrynith. The a/c in our room was not working properly but it was so late at night when we discovered same, we didn't bother to call in because the only solution would be to change rooms and we were too exhausted at the […] time. The free hot breakfast was nice and the attendents were very helpful. The room was clean and the beds/pillows were very comfortable.
