Avanti Resort - Orlando

The 1st room bathroom made a loud noise when the light was turned on...we moved to a 2nd room & the toilet didnt work! We were so aggravated we just used the restroom at the nearest gas station! This place should be called the Avanti MOTEL

The buildings do not have numbers on the outside which makes it hard to find your room at night. This place should be called a motel. Inside the room was very nice and up to date.

The hotel rooms look exactly as they do in the photos. Recently updated which is nice. Pool area was great and has a huge pool with a hot tub but under construction for a game room, exercise room and snack bar. The beds were very comfortable unless you move around, then they become a trampoline that squeaks. They really need to put the beds on a platform […] instead of bouncy springs. Being an allergy sufferer, I loved that there was no carpet in the room but the floors were very hard. Also no drapes which I loved. Room stayed pretty dark in the A.M. I am a very picky person when it comes to hotels. This was by far the best one I've been at. They were doing work out by the pool but it wasn't in the way at all. Very clean grounds and rooms. Bed was soft. The hot tub worked which made me very happy. Only complaint was the noise from the other room when I woke up. But ill take noise over a nasty room […] any day. Not satisfied: when I booked on Hotels.com it stated free breakfast and the room would have fridge/microwave and coffee maker. It didn't have any of that and of course "I made a mistake!" as they say. The coffee maker "because order was so big, we didn't get it yet!" so you shouldn't open or shouldn't announce it! I stayed at this hotel (under different mgt/owner?) about 2 years ago. Huge difference!! It is still old buildings but they did a pretty decent job renovating it. New beds, tv's, bathroom counters and the pool area is beautiful. They aren't completely finished but it doesn't disrupt staying there at all. I liked the hotel. Did not like the shuttle service and did not like the concierge named Stephanie, I think that was her name. She worked Tuesday morning. The sign says transportation, but she was not going to help me at all with transportation. Asked about cab to the airport and she told to dial zero from our room and ask for a cab. The zero on the […] phone said "emergency" so I called the Bell Hop and his name was Jamal. He was so sweet and helpful, he called the cab, came with the cab to our room and took our luggage down. I think he is the one that should be promoted as the concierge and Stephanie the Bell Hop or better yet, she should go somewhere else. The housekeeping was slow when you call for blankets..... As Orlando locals, my Husband and I stay down on I-Drive yearly for quick "daycations". We love the Pointe Orlando attractions, such as restuarants and the Improv Comedy Club. We always stay at resorts/hotels within walking distance of Pointe Orlando like the Peabody, the Rosen, and now Avanti. With that being said, I found Avanti Resort to be a great […] value for your money! The resort is, clearly, still under construction (the ammenaties are still being completed, but the rooms are nice and modern, and beds were moderately comfortable) and the rooms lacked some small details a 4-5 star hotel might have (nice wall art, extra lighting, and the cords to the flat screen were visible on wall which looked a little sloppy) but what they lacked in these minor negative attributes they made up for in customer service! The hotel staff goes above and beyond. For example, we had a hand written welcome card in our room upon arrival, as well as a phone call to make sure all was in order, we were upgraded to a suite free of charge (it was our anniversary), and given free drink vouchers for local businesses. I would say, hands down, the customer service was that of a 5 star hotel. Once the construction is done I imagine it has every opportunity to be rated 5 stars. I only spent the one night at Avanti and spent little time at the hotel but I found the lobby and the room to be welcoming, bright, clean, and much more than I expected for the price. I was beyond pleasantly surprised with the modern furnishings and wood floors in the rooms. My husband and I stayed at this hotel April 11 thru 14. Staff was friendly but they put us in a room near the stairs and next to I10 highway. You could hear every car door slam and people dragging luggage and talking as well as the highway noise. Keep in mind that this hotel is not a resort yet. Has no amenities....except the pool. We went to the pool […] with our plastic cups to have a cocktail and sit in the hot tub. The security guard came over and said we had to keep our cups in a table. So that kinda ruined our pool experience. Rooms were painted but not very nice remodel....I think they painted over dust and wallpaper. Beds were very stiff and uncomfortable. The staff was great! We provided some suggestions to the front desk as they are in the process of renovating the hotel, such as room safes, coffee pots, a rug at the front door (since they now have hard wood floors and they were appreciative. Location is great close to everything. Rooms were remodeled and clean, construction was still on going during our visit but wasn't a big deal. Only real issue was their cleaning staff our bed linens were never changed and we were there from a Monday to Friday the beds were made half assed my 6 year old makes his bed better than their trained staff.

The avanti resort was great, the room was clean, the front desk & starbuck girls were very nice. My daughter & i had a good time at the pool, she loved the sprinklers! One thing is i wished the BAR, ARCADE & GYM would have been opened. I will definitely come back with my wife & 2 daughters next time*hopefully all construction will be done soon.

We stayed from Friday to Sunday for a convention. This hotel had been recommended by a friend, so we came to stay and we regretted it. We literally had to switch rooms 3 times. The first time, the key didn't work. The second time, the room had a giant puddle of water in the middle of the room by the bed. The third time, the room hadn't been cleaned […] yet and there were empty beer bottles and towels all around the room. The final room was okay and we ended up staying there but we did have issues with the AC not cooling off the room much. And all of these room switches were for rooms in different buildings, which are on different ends of the hotel property and required us to go up 2-3 flights of stairs with all of our luggage several times and only after the final switch did hotel staff offer to have someone help bring our bags up. Oh, and the beds did not have comforters. They just both had really thin bedsheets. The floors must not have been swept either, as there was an awful lot of dirt and grime on the floor. The location is nice. The bed is clean, but do not expect they change your sheets everyday. House keeping does not sweep the floor or clean your sink or bathtub. They just take trash out. During my 5-day stay, they forgot to supply wash cloth one day, but was able to get me those once requested. There was stain on towels and washcloth.

This isn't the worst hotel that I've stayed at, but I expected more. The pictures of the hotel are of the lobby and rooms. The actual hotel is more like a motel. The rooms face the outside and are not enclosed. When we arrived it was raining. We could not get out of the rain until we got into the room. The rooms aren't terrible, but at the same time, […] nothing to brag about. The drain in the bathtub was clogged. I unclogged it and found pieces of what appeared to be porcelain and a lot of hair. The beds are okay but make a lot of noise, kind of like a cot. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you're on a tight budget, but if you can afford to stay somewhere else, I would. When we were looking for hotels in Orlando we saw a lot of reviews on how the Avanti Resort was noisy and the doorlocks did not work. My friends and i however saw that they were renovating and with that in mind wanted to give the place a chance. And I'm glad we did. The resort, while not the most extravagant you can get in Orlando, was exactly what […] I NEEDED. We didn't want anything luxurious, just a hotel that was clean and had good service and that's exactly what we got. Yes some sides of the hotel are located only a few yards away from the busy interstate but it didnt bother us at all. After a busy day at Universal i slept just fine when it came time to sleep and so did my friends. We also had no issue opening the doorlocks so i don't know where that came from. In conclusion if you want a hotel that is affordable, clean (without bugs or trash), and conveniently close to the Universal theme park (a 10 minute drive) then this is exactly what you need. If you want anything other than that or just for a hotel to impress you with its look, try a more expensive hotel like the Hilton. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay :) Lisätietoja

Reading the reviews before we checked in made me very nervous, but we were pleasantly surprised with the resort and would definitely stay again. Once the pool area is completed and a few other areas cleaned up, Avanti will be a great family IDrive resort.
