Good riverside view, convenience, clean, and affortable.

The Hotel is in a bad condition considering the price they charge. The bath tub was rusty, the toilet bowl overflow n flooded the toilet a couple of times after flushed. Call for help and waited for half an hr before someone came and did not clean up the toilet properly. The receptionist is pretty rude with attitude. And the hotel was being located […] quite far away from train station, although there is bus services provided by the hotel, but the bus came 20 mins once, and it's always long queue. Each time the bus can oni pick ard 16 passengers which result in long wait. The breakfast choices are limited and everyday is exactly the same food with 0 changes. My 5 days stay with my family are horrible. Will not recommend to anyone unless u opt for unpleasant stay. Worst experience! Lisätietoja

Definitely feel the queen bed is combined by two single beds. Feel uncomfortable if sleeping in the middle

I chooses this hotel for being outer skirts of the city and traffic, which was a good thing, a train ride to china's border of Shenzen only takes about 15 min going to Kowloon and Hong Kong takes about 20 min , hotel is cross the street from river walk and plenty of restaurant to eat if you know the language. hotel it self is not so great , it is clean […] without much friendly atmosphere , staff barely speaks english and no complementary internet even thou it states on their booklet otherwise, no free computer access food is expensive and so are other services as high as a five star hotel prices. The room is big and very clean. The hotel price is reasonable. The hotel service is excellent!! But the ride from HK int'l to the hotel is long, 45 min.

I was very disappointed by the hotel. The rooms were not as advertised - It seems that they had split a room into two rooms (space was extremely tiny). Our bathroom was faulty (we had to flush at least 3-4 times for it to work). We had requested a late check-out. Upon our return (before the late check-out time), the electronic lock has been changed […] and we could not access our room. It took the management more than 45 minutes to respond. In the end, a very understanding and patient cleaning lady let us into our room. I would recommend against staying there - I would spend more money in the future for transportation and stay in the Kowloon/Hong Kong area. Lisätietoja

This hotel is in a nice location. Just a short cab ride to the markets and other city highlights. Very modern rooms that were clean and had comfortable beds. Would stay again.

It is OK but surrounding area too noise

I want to say that this hotel is a great place to be to enjoy a visit to Hong Kong. I was in Hong Kong to visit my son who is attending school there as an exchange student. I had my daughter and a friend with me. We had not made reservations and that was a mistake that turned out to be the best thing for us since we found the Regal Riverside. We stayed […] at a nice place the first night but it didn't have any openings for the rest of the week. I found the Regal by searching the internet and made reservations in the morning of the second day. We moved out to the hotel and were a little worried that we would be too far away from my son but it runs out that the train system is so good that we were very much available to see him and go anywhere we wanted without any problems. The hotel runs a shuttle to and from the train station all the time and if not the shuttle, it is within walking distance or a short taxi ride. The best thing was we were out of Hong Kong central and had the peace and quiet of the country side type of world. It was very relaxing to be able to "escape" and relax after a full day of "the city". The hotel was extremely helpful and pleasant in every way. They did anything and everything they could to make the stay the best experience we could have hoped for. They even gave me a birthday present to make my day there so much better. I would recommend this hotel for any number of reasons but the best one is that they care about their guests. I truly believe they wanted us to have the best time we could while we were there since we were away from home. Nice hotel but price can be varing from moderate to extrmely high. Be aware the tour groups as often booked and stayed with this hotel. No immediate access to train or subway but a short shuttle or bus ride. Service can be improved as they always busy or no room available until after 4pm.

not as good as last stay in May 2011, bathroom ceiling leaking during rain. Room not as clean as before despite recent renovation

Service check in are very slow for Us. Take one hours to check in. The room I booked online is a none smoking, but they say the room for 4 beds are smoking room. I have to changed to a two beds room and booked other one with a much higher rates. overall a not very satisfied with the service. The hotel to the subway are little far.

nice hotel in sha-tin. stayed here to be near the sha-tin racecourse. free hotel shuttle bus to the sha-tin metro but i found it easier taking a bus to the metro. bus stop right outside the hotel and hotel bus stop is the last stop prior to the metro stop; not even a 5 minute bus ride. restaurants at the hotel. nice lobby. my corner room was nice. will […] definately stay here again. cheaper than the downtown areas like central. went to central that night. was about a 40 minute metro ride w/ a few connections. I timed the walk to the train at 13 minutes at ground level (not using the underground passage). It is an easy and even pleasant walk across the bridge and over to the nearby mall where the train station is. It can be confusing the first time though, so some tips (assuming you are walking from hotel to train): -As you cross the bridge look for the red […] building on your left. That is city hall. Behind it is another red building; that is the mall. The train station is on the third floor of the mall. Note it is an above-ground train, not a subway! -There are many signs directing you to the "subway". Note that in Hong Kong, a "subway" is just an underground pedestrian walkway. It does not refer to a subway train station! -Finally, the train is great for getting around town, but I liked the bus for going to and from the airport. The 41A bus is direct right from the airport to the hotel. Otherwise, if you take the train from the airport, you will have to switch trains several times and you will still have to get yourself and your luggage from the train station over to the hotel. I recommend the hotel for price, convenience and cleanliness. I'm a seasoned traveler and don't mind cutting corners, but I will only stay in a clean hotel. This one is clean. Try it! Lisätietoja

hotel was great, all services good except transport from airport. Cost was horrible but since it was late and I was travelling with a child I tried to take the shuttle. I was to wait 75 minutes AND the fee was 210 dollars (for two people). I took the city bus and it dropped me off directly across from the hotel and cost I think 35 dollars (one adult, […] one child). nice hotel,nice service, and near from airport

We stayed at the Riverside on June 11 for 5 days in Shatin. A good place to stay, we took the free shuttle bus to the train station a few times. Lots of shopping malls accessible by train. We utilized the restaurant coupons that the hotel gave to us to use each day at the hotel restaurants. We didn't realize they had expiry dates on them though. Room is big and comfortable, choice of 10 eateries is very enticing. Over all a very pleasant stay.

The spacious room, quiet ambience and nice comfortable bed provides a stunning combination for a wonderfully refreshing sleep!

we stayed at riverside hotel for 4 nights and 3 days ,.... it is economic and fine place for family stay . 41A goes directly to airport and 182 bus directly go to macau ferry ter. .....

Not bad, it is worth to introduce to others. I lived in this hotel for Three nights! Service is very good.

The access by bus to and from airport is really handly and good value for money. The bus stops are just outside the hotel. It takes 45 to 50 mins and HKD21. There are a lot of cafetia at the back of the hotel. A must trial for typical Hong Kong fast food. One of the big shopping malls in Hong Kong is sitting right across the river.

Great hotel for your money. Good size room and great location. Some rooms needs redoing due to age. Overall it is a good hotel.

I love the front desk staff; great customer service; I always stay at this hotel, so, they even know I was coming. I received a warm welcome by the same person who served me at my last stay. They even left a free fruit basket in my room for me to enjoy.

Hotel didn't look nearly as good as the photos. The subway was far away (20 mins to walk) 5 mins by cab. The rooms were okay, but there was no view and they could have been renovated nicer. The hotel is really a 3 star. It's way too busy so you can expect to never get good service. The bathroom room counter had water spots on it so they didn't clean […] it properly. The location of the hotel is in New territories, obviously not in downtown/city. But there's a bus stop in front of the hotel, so accessible every where you go. Like to and from the airport, going to downtown area like kowloon side and hongkong side and others. but a long walk going to mtr stations,so you can ride a bus going there for just a few minutes. In […] terms of the Hotel especially Room services- over all we are satisfied. We stayed in Regal i-club room. the room, bedding and bathroom was and smells clean, including the corridors. The hotel is quite OK with its rate. The hotel is surrounded by various types of small restaurants and super markets, thus feel very convenient. The staff are nice and polite. My room is with excellent view and very comfortable. Sure will come back next time.

The hotel staff was exceptionally nice. I thought the hotel was closer to the airport but the shuttle service was very efficient. Staff are quite friendly and polite. Hotel is less than 10 mins walk to ShaTin MTR and shopping centre. 7-11 shop is located at the back of the hotel. The decor in the room is slightly out dated, but the size of the room is very spacious. Cold drinks in the fridge are very expensive. We did asked for iron and board as we were there for over 10 nights, […] but never got it and couldn't be bother to ask again. Maintainance service was very efficient as we had a blocked toilet during our stay. There were some refurbishments next room and it was quite noisy although a notice was displayed at the counter when we checked in. However overall stay was quite pleasant for the price we paid for. Although this hotel is not located next to the transportation but it is only 15 minutes walk to the train station. There are buses in front of the hotel which can bring you to the train station, the tourist center in Kowloon or even Hong Kong Island. I liked the surrounding very much. Even tho Regal Riverside Hotel is located in ShaTin, we found it to be quite conveniently located with a lot of "mama and papa" little businesses around it. We especially appreciated the fact that there were "Dai Pai Dongs" (food stalls) a block down and some opened until 3 a.m while most closed at 12 midnight. Unless you wish to buy a Rolex watch or […] some expensive computer accessories, ShaTin is a pretty much self-contained community with almost everything that you may need in your daily life. Many bus routes stopped in front of the hotel entrance so going to TST or Central or even the airport is a piece of cake. ShaTin R/R station is approximately 20-25 minute walk and is located across the river in a huge shopping mall. We love Regal Riverside Hotel. 1st time stayed this hotel. The hotel was pretty much everything we could hope and ask for, except for the distance between the hotel and MTR was a little far to walk. Other poster said it would take 5 minutes; well, he must be a very fast walker. We used our GPS to measure the distance, and it was a 3/4 mile walk and that would usually require more […] than 5 minutes. Many bus routes stopped in front of the hotel taking you to Kowloon, HK and the airport. Bus fare to the airport from the hotel was $21 (less than $3 USD); how could you beat that? What we liked was being away from the hustle and bustle of HK and Kowloon. Sha Tin was still a lay back city but it was self sufficient. All the essentials could be bought in the neighborhood stores - no need to go to Kowloon or any other places. Nearby street food stalls and restaurants were plentiful, providing excellent food for very inexpensive prices (I'd say about 1/2 that of WanChai or Kowloon prices). Best still, was that they all opened until way past midnight. A couple food stalls even opened until 3 am and re-opened again at 6 am for breakfast. Across the street from the hotel was the river and on both sides of the bank, there were walkways and bike lanes for your daily execrises. There was nothing more relaxing than sitting by the river bank and kickback. Regal Riverside Hotel will probably always be our HK hotel whenever we come here again in the future. Lisätietoja
