The moment I got there, the met me at the door to help with my bags, the check-in went smoothly, the called to make sure I had been settled in with no problems. I really really enjoyed my stay.

The hotel was great. The only thing was the restroom had a bad smell. It wasn't from poor cleaning I think it was the vent. Other than that I would give 5 stars all the way around! Great stay!

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly, however, there is only one elevator, and always a wait which was inconvenient. The hotel also booked someone else in my room, and while I was sleeping, a lady came into my room. The front desk did not even call to apologize about the mix up. My husband is disabled and I'm 65. After lugging our 5 heavy bags onto the cart and up to our room by myself, I was informed that I should have asked for assistance. It is our experience that sometimes hotels have porters and sometimes they don't. If it's not offered, I assume they don't. In this case, I was in full view of the front desk and had conversations […] with staff as I pushed the cart to the elevator. No assistance was offered. On checkout, I called the front desk, asked for and received assistance. This was only after our shuttle driver from the previous day informed me that this was standard procedure and that we should have received assistance the night before. This was a ten day trip and this was the fourth and final hotel we stayed in the night before flying home. Our beds were so firm/hard, I might as well have tried sleeping on the floor. The jacuzzi tub was ok and the carpet in the room was torns and the shower didnt look that clean. Wasnt worth the money

Stayed only one night, but was more than pleased with this hotel Service was excellent, room was nice and the shuttle to the airport was so convenient. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Not my first stay there but this time they was a bit disappointed. When I called for th shuttle I was told 15 mn (hotel is about1.5 miles from the airport). After 30 mn called again and was told it was on its way... got ther 50 mn after my first call. Undertsand its a complimentary service... but if they are overbooked would expect them to tell us and […] then we could then take a cab. Very clean hotel with very helpful staff. I stay in a hotel at least a couple of nights a month or more and this was one of the better hotels I've had the pleasure of staying in. Will stay here again next time I come to this area.

Very accessible to main thoroughfares, restaurants & shopping. Surrounded by other hotels/commercial park...free wi-fi and parking. Room was nice...king suite with French doors...sofa-bed & chair...two televisions...kitchenette area. Very comfortable for a family of 4. King suite even had a balcony in the living area. The hotel is close to airport. Staff was friendly, even with us checking in after 10:30. Bedding was clean, as were the towels. Shuttle service was provided to surrounding areas for free.

The staff was exetremely nice!!! the room was very nice and comfortable. the restaurant staff Ms. Lauren was EXETREMELY friendly. she made us feel welcome and she even help us with places to visit. there was also a Cook that was cooking in the lobby of the hotel who was in the Navy, that was very helpful to my daughter who wanted to know more about […] the Navy. The AC in our room was not working properly...cold during the day and HOTTTT at night. This property host a lotof weddings and parties so the noise in the hallways should be expected. The rooms are nice, but show some wear. No glasses or utinsels so plan accordingly.

It was great except for the meal we had in the restaurant. The food was not very good. I had a sandwich...BLT, I could not eat. The bacon was in large curls and so hard I could not chew it and the tomato was hard and tasteless with plain half toasted white bread...french would have been better. Shortage of towels & wash clothes each day. Had to ask staff each day but they did take care of it. The room felt cramped for 4 people. Overall the hotel served its purpose.

We used their airport transportation to/from Norfolk Airport. Both drivers were VERY nice, helpful and hospitable!

room was clean and comfortable. Hotel had restaurant and small shop so we didn't have to go back out to eat. The restaurant was not the best but met it's purpose. Close to airport and shuttle was available. Would stay there again.

With close proximity to ORF, the property caters to those who need the use of the airport most. While the setting is urban and nondescript, it is directly across the street from the Hilton. All the amenities one might need during a stay are close, familiar restaurants and department stores are minutes away. The floor plan of the room was well thought out and certainly not your typical. The property offered all the amenities a business traveler needs and everything a family on a budget wants: free Wi-Fi, computers in the lobby, fitness center, and free transportation w/in a 5 mile radius, pool, hot-tub, minutes to the airport, and free daily USA Today newspaper at your door. All of the employees made us feel welcomed and as cared for as if we were staying in a Norfolk B & B! Caesar picked us up from the airport and was courteous and professional. He gave us the lay of the land and made a great ambassador for this Holiday Inn. Tameka at the front desk was equally professional yet we felt ‘hugged’ by her pleasant personality and warm smile. I would recommend this hotel on the basis that we got it on a Friday night for $70. I would not recommend it for more than that price and would not consider it a 3 star hotel. Piping was very loud. I stayed overnight and had a very early flight, but all the noise in the hallways and rooms nearby kept me up until 3am when I needed to wake up at 430am. I chose this hotel because the Hilton was full. I was not impressed as the beds were uncomfortable (too soft) and the sheets were very thin and old (poly/cotten?). I thought my leg was going to rip the thin sheets. When I asked about the airport shuttle the night prior, I was assured that I just needed to call 15 minuted prior to when I wanted the shuttle. […] When I called that morning, I was informed that instead of the 5:00am time I needed, I could have either 4:45am or the 5:10am shuttle!!! The front desk clerk was not too helpful as he was just repeating the fact that they needed to take a "crew" to the airport at 5:10am. This didn't help at all. We were very pleasantly surprised by this Holiday Inn Select. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable and was decorated nicely. The bedding was extremely comfortable. The kitchenette and bathroom were both nice and efficient.
