My wife and I stayed here at the end of our honeymoon, and this saved the trip. The rooms with the japanese sliding doors are great. The rooms are extremely spacious and come with a ton of amenities. Just across the road from the aquarium and Darling Harbour, so close but not noisy. We stayed in the Studio, 5th floor, with excellent facilities for eating in (fridge, oven, c/top jug, toaster etc) and views to Darling Harbour. If wanting to go to the convention centre an easy walk west of the aquarium has you at the northern end of the Cockle Bay […] complex, IMAX not much further along then.The gym is adequate, and as only the only one there each time it was a great set up with a combo of cardio and weights. Next time the pool will get a visit too I would stay here again, this is our second time now, especially if wanting to be at Darling Harbour. The walk up the hill toward Quenn Victoria building is fairly easy and there are shops galore in this area too on the eastern side...parking at Wilson's was a bonus for the weekend and just a block up on Kent Street. The reception/porter/cleaning staff were all pleasant and made our stay a good one to remind us how this place should always be on our list. Lisätietoja

Great position and had no problems til after checkout waiting to be let down in the lift to be able to get to our car. We had to wait a very long time and the staff were quite rude to us when we asked to be let down.

This is a wonderful hotel. It is close to the wharf for the ferries, right by the aquarium & wildlife world. The personnel were wonderful and very helpful. We had our own balcony and could see the harbor.

We stayed in a spacious 1 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor for five nights. The location of the hotel is fantastic, within walking distance to the CBD, Pyrmont, train stations and right at King Street wharf for easy access to the Ferry services. The room itself was in need of a good clean, there was what appeared to be dirty finger marks on most doors […] and some walls. We also needed to put all the dishes and (mismatched) glassware through the dishwasher before using them as they didn't appear clean. Hand washing these was not an option as we were only provided with an unhygienic sponge for dish washing, and after asking for a proper washable cloth we were told to use the dishwasher. One of our 'clean' towels also had to be replaced as it had a rather revolting smell and was obviously not clean. The bathroom was large but the shower was over a very narrow bath and awkward to stand in and get out of. The room was great, very spacious and modern. We got it at a really cheap price which made it definitely worth it's money. I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you need to be located close to Darling Harbour etc. Just expect to pay $32 for parking which is quite expensive.

Medina Grand Harbourside, Sydney AU. Spent one night here prior to a cruise. The hotel was in a terrific location across from the Aquarium and Wildlife World. You only need to walk over the bridge to get to great shopping, eating, and nightlife. The staff was very helpful and professional. We would recommend it.

The hotel is lovely and the staff very professional but friendly. We were so happy with the location on Darling Harbor. We would have loved to have spent more time there. It had a cruise to catch. Maybe another time!

Stayed here in December 2011. Great location and reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and helpful. Could have more parking available, but I was one of the lucky ones.

A great appartment hotel in a very convenient location, close to downtown and just steps from Darling Harbour. Only complaint is that balcony was not well cleaned

Pros: location... Cons: standard of room, cleanliness was deplorable. What modern day hotel charges for WI-FI?! Parking on site was a headache aswell, an overpriced. It's a car park, not a revenue raiser. Do yourself a favor an keep looking.

I have stayed here previously hence the reason to rebook here. Nice staff but could be more friendly and approachable but a lovely location and a well maintained hotel right on darling harbour. We thought the position and condition of this hotel was excellent for our purpose and would recommend this for anyone wishing to stay close to harbour in Sydney. A little overpriced but believe this is the same all over Sydney.

It was a very nice hotel, but we were a little disappointed, although it had double glass doors we could not sleep from the noise from the traffic. Maybe the harbour view rooms might not get the noise problem as we were on city side.

The staff of this hotel needs to be changed. Very unwelcoming staff and rude. just the opposite of what hospitality industry has to offer. Rooms are very small. You can barely bathe in the bathroom. Fair enough for a strict budget as it is well located.

The finest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Location was excellent ,the staff outstanding and friendly. Price unbelieveable for such a great location. Would not consider any other hotel for my next stay in Sydney.

Hotel staff, ammenities and location were excellent as was clenliness of room. Only chiticisms were that toilet was in an alcove and hard to access and shower/bath was slippery and a trip hazard. The hotel is at the restaurant area King Street Wharf with lots of bars and restaurant. Also a few minutes walk away is Cockle Bay area with also many restaurants to choose from. I understand the hotel spent some money on installing the internet network and might need to charge a fee on that. However what I don't understand is we need to pay quite an expensive amount to use the internet (I stayed for 2 weeks but need to pay US$200 for internet! even 3 days would cost like US$120). we recently stayed at the medina grand, reception staff where great, very polite and helpful. the room was good and the location was amazing!!! really enjoyed our time there and would stay there again when in sydney :)

i stayed in this hotel on and off since it opened and it is still in very good condition and the furniture is of a modern timeless quality...even the televisions are now flat screen.....the beds however are a bit firmer than my liking but this is a personal thing.....my lounge room didn't have blockout drapes and allowed the street lights to shine through […] all night...i assume they were being cleaned otherwise they need to think twice about the need for privacy in this room as it can be clearly viewed from the footbridge adjacent ... The location of the hotel is perfect, with excellent access to the bars and restaurants of Darling Harbour. It's convenient for the Central Business District and has connections to the tourist sights. The staff are friendly and helpful. The decor in the rooms is tired and gives a generally grotty feel. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Medina Grand Harbourside. It was in a brilliant location - right next to the Aquarium and on Darling Harbour. The location was fantastic, room was brilliant, really nice. The only downside was that we got charged for someones elses room which was triple our price! The mistake was picked up after and the money reimbursed but that was the only hiccup on our stay. Just double check your invoice! The suite was excellent and the location of the hotel was excellent in terms of being able to walk the city and get to Circular quay, Darling harbour and the Train Station. MY ONLY UNHAPPINESS IS THAT $100 DEBIT WAS APPLIED TO MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY "UP FRONT" AUTHORISATION. We loved our stay at this hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Location of the hotel is perfect for anything you want to do in Sydney. Close to Darling Harbour, walking distance to Circular Quay, Harbour Bridge and the CBD. We would recommend this Hotel to all our friends. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Truly enjoyed our stay at the Medina Harbourside. The location is close to the water and some nice bars, close to the city centre and the staff was friendly and helpful when we arrived early in the morning, allowing us to check in earlier. Overall we had a great stay and liked the spacious 1 bedroom apartment.

Great location! wonderful for Sydney lots of eating spots . Staff wonderful and friendly. Only complaint which is in significant -lounge chair in room hopelessly uncomfortable and really only for 1 person. Otherwise views,location convenience etc fantastic. Would stay again - No question.

Walk to everything or catch a ferry from your door. Excellent spot close to dining at King St Wharf or Darling Harbour. Short walk up King St to Pitt St Mall. Rooms were lovely although be sure to try & secure a water view room if you plan on spending time in your room. Didn't really matter as just a minute or 2 walk to the huge array of eateries around Darling Harbour. All in all, a good stay but wouldn't bother too much eating here unless you REALLY didn't want to go out. The employees on front desk were a little disorganised (they didnt program the electronic key first time around, and then they checked me into a room that was already occupied - I walked in on the guests). Hotel was situated right next to Darling Harbour so we didnt have to walk too far to all the delights of Sydney. Nice and clean, friendly helpful staff. We only stayed one night but had time to use the pool and sauna.

We wanted tostay in Darling Harbour and this was our first stay in Sydney and the hotel was great location to city for shopping and short walk to The Rocks and Circulat Keys. Hotel room very roomy and clean and staff very helpfull. Great Hotel would recommend toanyone,

This Medina hotel was a great! We were right off Darling Harbour - food & shopping right behind the hotel. We we able to easily walk to all Darling Harbour attractions within 5 minutes & Paddy's Market in 15 minutes. Easy to get to the Rocks and Circular Quay as well to see Sydney Harbor attractions - about a 15-20 minute walk. We felt safe out at night […] near the hotel. Grocery quickmart nearby. Restaurant in hotel nice as well for breakfast on the go. Our room had a nice kitchenette, balcony and comfortable space. We stayed here a week and we were very pleased with our choice. The front desk staff was very accommodating when we arrived early in the morning from our international flight. Since our check in time was in the afternoon, we were allowed to shower in the pool area shower and our bags were stored so we could easily go explore. Our first floor room was quiet despite our balcony facing a street with lots of foot traffic to a nearby club & restaurant. The front desk staff helped us with confirming tour bookings as well. The hotel is located right on Darling Harbour. The staff were great, the location was fantastic. Could walk everywhere, but Public transport just up the road. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in this hotel last weekend(12/12/10) and we had great time. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in 1 bedroom studio room(3rd floor) and it was perfect. We had a view on Darling Harbour. Location is great, close to all restaurants and caffee bars. I would be happy to stay here again.
