Though i spent only one night there, i had a wonderful stay. The staff and every one around was helpful and friendly. True, the shower drain was not completely clogged, the water was running very very slow. I reported it to the lady @ the desk when i was leaving, and she assured me that it will be taken care of. I was in room 108. I wish I had a plunger […] to fix it myself. By the way there is a wonderful and friendly italian restaurant (scarpetta) which could have more choice on the menu, right across the street that stays open until midnight. Thanks for your help. Very nice hotel, lovely reception. The shower is kinda eh (not in cleanliness, but in simplicity). We would definitely stay again. Also two doors down is a meat pie shop, for the love of all things delicious, go for breakfast!

clean beds and bathroom, very small bathroom, carpet in the hallways was cleaned with some very strong smelling chemical, staff was helpful and pleasant

It was disgusting and I couldn't wait to get out of there. We didn't sleep in the room and had to pay for two nights even though we left as soon as we could. The room was falling apart and extremely small. The bathroom was filthy and so tiny - shower and toilet were on top of each other and there was no room to move. Hallways r so narrow that only one person can go....sideways. You have to sit on the toilet to take a shower, that's how small it was. When I complained, they said its European style. Now I don't wanna Goto europe. Stayed there for two days and my sheets weren't changed, no cleaning lady ever entered my room. Very disappointed.

The sink leaked when in use.The chair seat was broken and the towel rack over the toilet was broken at the bottom.No shampoo just conditioner.

It is a basic hotel in a fantastic location. Great for those who just want a room.

The facility is basic. It satisfies my needs because of the location and pricing. Microwave and refrigerator in the room is a big plus. On-street parking is a challenge. All factors considered: Good bang for the bucks.

Yes! It is an older Hotel and would need some repair and TLC but it was very clean and the front desk staff worry very friendly and nice. I was told that repairs have been started on a room by room basis. I was very satisfied and will be return next year for my event.

You really should stay somewhere else, there's no free parking there until after 6 and then you have to move your car by 9 am, the washroom is about the size of the inside of a hatchback Honda civic and the beds are hard, it is relativity close to everything though but I don't recommend booking this place to stay if your on vacation. This is basically a step up from a hostel. The bathroom is less than the size of a closet. There are 3 floors & no elevators. The mattress was about 4 inches on a slab.

Very wierd hotel. Door was slanted as well as the entire floor of the room. Bathroom was unmaneuverable. And an obscene number of mirrors throughout the hotel. One of the women working the desk was very helpful and pleasant, however, she was the only one. This a good inexpensive option for stays in Montreal. It's well located, just north of the downtown area, and there are many services closeby. Parking is an issue.

Very basic more like a hostel than a hotel. Parking is on the street free over night until 9AM. After 9AM the hotel stuff will gladly assist by paying the parking with money previously left by you with them.

the hotel was old and shabby. the room was small and dusty, the bathroom was verry small, it was also old. the location was good, within 10 min drive you where dow town. there are lots of resgaurants i the area. there was a kitcken in the hotel yoy could use. the staff was friendly and helpfull.

The staff were friendly and helpful, greeting you with a map tour of the city. The room was so-so, but comfortable enough to relax in and smelled like the linens and towels were freshly washed. The only big annoyance was that the shower consisted of a shower head and drain on the floor right in front of the toilet. The area isn't the most exciting party spot, but definitely has many bars and restaurants on the block and further (all walking distance). Very quite area even though downtown, but the room wasn't clean the bathroom pathetic very tiny water running all over the place. The walls were very messy. Would never suggest this hotel to any of my family members or friends.

I feel it was misleading to have on the internet as an option. there is only street parking and the whole road was tore up so there was parking if you could find it on side roads. the place looked worse than slums that I have seen. the price is outragious. We did not stay! total disappointment

I went with my family and utterly disappointed with the condition. Overall condition of cleanliness and facilities were awful, also there was no parking space. It was so unconfortable that after spending one hour, we left the hotel.

This hotel is nothing fancy but a good option if you're looking to stay in Montreal on a very limited budget. It is very close to bus routes linking you to the downtown (almost right outside the front door), and about a 15 minute walk to the nearest metro station, Mont-Royal. Hotel was easy to find and very central, right beside Mt Royal and between downtown and the Plateau (which is infinitely more fun that downtown). There is a lot of construction going on right outside the hotel, but that should clear up within a month or so...Our first room was up on 3rd floor (no elevator) in the back. The mattress was rock hard, the […] floors were crooked, the shower "stall" and the toilet overflowed, so we asked for a change, which was done right away, subject to vacancy. The new room was on the first floor, facing the street. Construction noise was tolerable in the morning, thanks to doubled windows. The bed was softer, the plumbing worked better and the shower "stall" was cleaner (there is no real stall, just a curtain...the whole floor is going to get wet...shower caveat, as they say). Overall, a decent stay for such an inexpensive room, but it's not somewhere I'd suggest to anyone who has a reasonable budget to work with. Just be nice with the staff. The pictures that are shown on expedia are not quite what the actual room looks like. No flat screen TV--Room has a CRT TV that is damaged and open. doors and cabinet are torn and damaged. furnitures look different from expedia pictures ceiling fan, light fixture, and alarm detector are hanging off ceiling as if there were spy cameras. The hotel is located in a good area, and the employees are very nice and helpful. I didn't know the hotel was going though renovations when I booked the rooms, and the Avenue du Parc in front of it was closed due to (also) renovations. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice if someone would have told me that before I got there. The room had this […] awfull smell of cigarettes, which I hate, and it was all over the duvet on the bed. The linnen were fine and clean; didn't like the towels. For the price, it was fine. Cheaper than back packer hostels. Although not the classiest place in town, it served its purpose for an exchange student with a week to kill before moving in to campus accomodation.
