Okay,.. Good thing we had GPS, the location was rather tricky to find. Dad was not the most comfortable pillows included and breakfast was just okay... No fresh fruits like I experienced at other hotels in this class category earlier in the trip.

This hotel is adjacent to I-95, and it's very loud. Stopped here just to jave a quick sleep on the way back from vacationing in Florida. Hard to sleep over the sound of the freeway.

We were on the highway side of the hotel. It was hard to sleep because of truck noise all night. I had stayed here before but it was on the other side of the hotel, which was much better. They need a sound barrier or something on the highway side.

I should have listened to my gut! I have never stayed at a HOJO before because of its negative reputation. But because of its location to Kings Dominion I decided to be open minded and give it a try. It was so bad we kept our socks on to walk around and didn't unpack anything from our suitcase! Fortunately we only had to stay for one night. I learned a valuable lesson: "go with what you know" and "you get what you pay for". There were other hotels in the area that if we had not been under pricelock guarantee I would have cancelled and paid more to stay somewhere else. Room walls were soiled. There was still clothing in the drawer from the prior occupant. A used washcloth hung in the shower from the prior occupant. Front desk help was good. After a long day at the amusement park, we checked-in to this hotel. We had to change rooms 2 times. The final room was considered the "Home Office". The first room's mattress was soiled.... Run down and beds extremely uncomfortable. Staff was pleasant but does that make up for the general unclean feeling of the hotel? In my opinion no. Would not stay at again.

Right on top of the interstate. Truck traffic kept us awake most of the night.

Cleanliness of lobby & common areas was very good. Only downside was the lack of variety, choices, and overall freshness of the breakfast. We choose lodging with breakfast but this time chose to eat out. Not up to an average continental Breakfast.

My husband and I have stayed here several times now, we enjoy our time here!! The location is quite and tucked away from the world. The hotel is clean, staff is always friendly and accommodating to our needs. We will continue to come back!!

The staff was so friendly and the hotel so clean. I am always a little scared when I stay at a lower end hotel but this was great for the price.

Hotel HVAC system hard to control for an even room temperature. Front counter very friendly. Hard to - watch very carefully for the signage and go slowly. You can see it in the distance but there are lots of twists and turns to get to it.

Small room and not a very good breakfast. I was traveling home for Thanksgiving and had my dogs it said pet friendly but did not know I was going to get charged an additional $20 fee. Would have preferred to pay that with my reservation than at midnight after a full day of work and 6 hrs in a car.

First we walk into an unclean bathroom then in the middle of the night the a/c stops working and we wake up at 5am sweating. Finally we can't deal with the heat any longer and decide to get up go down stairs and say something. It was a ok experience. The tube didnt lokk that clean and the beds wasnt that comfotable. It was ok just for one knight. I wouldnt recomended to stay there more then a day if your planing a long vacation.

Great hotel, excellent value for money. Only 10 minutes by car to Kings Dominion theme park. Lots of restaurants close by (only a few minutes away by car.) The best part was the breakfast - hot and cold cereals, waffles, pastries and bagels, also coffee,tea and juices.

The room, bath and lobby were all very clean. Morning breakfast was basic but palatable. Desk staff was pleasant. Not the newest hotel, but the room and bath were roomy and comfortable. Given the close location to Randolph Macon College and King's Dominion, as well as all the food places, this is a great value in a great location. Everything was great except, the hotel was not air-conditioned in any of the common areas (hallways, etc.). Our room took 3 hours to cool down when we arrived. We arrived at midnight, so it was very hard to get to sleep. Maybe they should take the time to turn on the air when it's that hot and humid and they are expecting a guest.

Aside from being able to check in earlier than normal (because I had a reservation) there wasn't really much positive to talk about. The toilet bowl was loose, they still have CRT TV's, there is no pool, Continental breakfast options were somewhat limited. the cleanliness of the rooms , however were very adequate. Overall 3 out of 5 stars.

The room looked nothing like the pictures. The ice bucket had a dead roach in it, plus it hd juice residue in the bottomi the shower curtian had black/mildew stains; the beds were very uncomfortable. On the second night of our stay, we got upstairs neighbors. From about 10pm until well after midnight, these neighbors ran around their room like a herd of cattle.
