Hotelli kohtuullisen kävelymatkan päässä Tivolista ja kauppakaduista, lähellä hyviä ruokapaikkoja. Huone hiljainen ja kylpyhuone tilava ja siisti. Aamiaisella oli kovin ruuhkaista viikonloppuna, henkilökuntaa ei riittävästi siivoamaan pöytiä ja täyttämään buffetpöytää. Aamiastilassa oli myös remontti kesken ja pölyä ja epäsiisteyttä pitkin lattioita. […] Lähtiessä meille myös tarjottiin edellisen asiakkaan baarilaskua maksettavaksi, totesivat tosin kun kieltäydyin, että laskut ovatkin syntyneet ennen meidän saapumista. Hotelli oli vanha ja kaipaisi jo peruskorjausta. Esimerkiksi hotellin kahdesta hissistä vain toinen oli käytössä, jonka takia ruuhka-aikaan (aamulla) meni todella kauan hissiä odotellessa, portaikon opastus voisikin olla parempi. Hotellin sijainti oli loistava, lähellä kävelykatua. Hotellin ympäristössä oli kuitenkin tietöitä, joten autolla liikkuminen […] oli hieman hankalaa muuttuneiden liikennejärjestelyiden takia. Näppärä yhteys metrolla lentokentälle. Tosi pieni huone, mutta siisti ja hiljainen. Nyhavnin läheisyys ja kävelymatka kaikkialle plussaa.

I was disappointed with this hotel. we were travelling with a small child, came with our car and the car could not be parked in front of the hotel. the hotel did not have a parking at all and did not give us guidance on the nearby parking carages. Also when I was checking in the receptionist started serving beer to other guests while I was checking […] in and had to wait there. We had to find the parking carages on our own. The breakfast was not very good, the restaurant was too small for the people in the hotel and very loud, it was very unpleasant to have breakfast there. The room was not properly cleaned, there were plastic bags from previous guests under the bed. There was one elevator in operation, we had to wait a long time when going out or in the hotel. Nice hotel, nice surroundings and very close the city centre. Canal view was fun to watch in the evening.

Yövyimme 4 yötä hotellissa kesäkuussa 2011. Huone oli pieni ja selvästi jo kulunut. WC oli hyvässä kunnossa, mutta muuten huoneen ilme oli nuhjuinen. Kaiken kaikkiaan koko hotelli muistutti ruotsinlaivaa. Aamiaisella henkilökunta oli töykeää ja pöytää täytettiin nihkeästi. Hedelmät olivat jo parhaat päivänsä nähneitä. Hyvä sijainti, rannassa Nyhavnin kupeessa, siisti, hyvä palvelu. Aamiainen oli hyvä mutta kallis, se ei meillä kuulunut huoneen hintaan. Muutoin hinta/laatu oli kohdallaan.

Quiet location, nice area, good breakfast selection, generally a good hotel for a short break

Overall The Strand was a very good choice. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but for a single business traveler mine was fine. The hotel staff are very pleasant and helpful, although housekeeping were a bit obtrusive (I had one person walk in on me directly after check-in, thinking no one was in the room, despite the locked door. Perhaps knock?). […] The hotel was clean, though a bit scuffed up in places, but the neghboorhood was great--close to the cafes of Nyhavn--and the location excellent: a beautiful spot fronting a canal and minutes form the metro stop which gets you to the airport in under 30 mins. After a short trip from the train station we arrived at our hotel. Which overlooked one of the canals. Our room was on the 4th floor, with limited canal views through our window. The room was on the small side, so we struggled to find floor space for our two cases, but other than that, the room was fine. There was no wifi available in the room, so we […] spent time in the lobby, which has comfortable chairs and there is a bar service for drinks. Also available is a business centre that has a computer and printer when needed. Breakfast was included and had a great range of products to choose from. The location of the hotel was great for walking to the Royal Palace, Canals, Restaurants and shopping district. Solid hotel, good location. Wireless is only available in the lobby, but you can get an internet cable to plug into laptop so you can use internet in your room.

What a great find! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Just around the block to the harbor area with many cafes,bars and restaurants. So many sites withing walking distance and the metro station! Would definitely stay here again!

Special thanks to the staff...always pleasant and helpful. But Henriette in particular helped in unexpected ways with translations on an old photo and giving us advice to make our visit to Copenhagen wonderful. Thank you to all. The room (an upgrade), the food, and the location was excellent. We walked everywhere. I would stay here again.

It was easy walk from the metro station, which I took from the airport, to the hotel. Great location with the Nyhaven restaurant/entertainment area just around the block. Most of the my group stayed at near by hotel but I chose this hotel for some reason and came home very satisfied. We were able to reach most of the tour sites by walk and nearby restaurants served us very well. Last day before check out while we were eating breakfast, things were not organized but noted employees were busy eating their meal instead […] of taking care of guests. That was very odd. The strand hotel was excellent in every way. The staff were very helpful, the location is central for most tourist sites. The rooms were very pleasant and clean. Breakfast was plentiful with something to suit all tastes. We would certainly highly recommend The Strand Hotel Y

This was not my first choice of hotel in Copenhagen, but I booked at the last minute. Great location from a tourist perspective. My reception was at best ambivalent although the room, whilst small, was clean with a comfortable bed and good walk in shower. Breakfast was expensive and not very good. Wifi only works in the lobby; for internet in the room […] one needs a laptop and a borrowed cable. Stayed at the Strand recently and was so pleased. The front desk upgraded us to a superior double and we had plenty of space. Breakfast was wonderful and a canal cruise was included. Several small resturants in the area and extremly close to Nyhaven harbor. We were able to print out our boarding passes on the complimentary computer. Would definitly […] stay here again. hotel location is great - breakfast is a chaos - grab your own seat, silverware etc. - grossly oversubscribed. Cramped rooms looking directly at office buildings is awkward but location makes up for it - walking distance to NewHaven etc. where all day and night life centers. No hotel parking - on the street parking is expensive and limited.

Good, clean budget hotel. Not air conditioned. Rooms adequate but need remodeling. Construction across the street block view of the waterway. Excellent location.

There is major path and road construction going on in front of the hotel and they really should warn people or offer a discount. Other than that we could close windows and it was quiet . If it was hot and we had to keep windows open would have been annoying Great views of harbour in the family room. Service good from some staff others little lacking […] in charm. Lisätietoja

Stayed there three nights. The staff was friendly and helpful; accomodations were very clean. Great quiet location with Nyhavn Harbor just two blocks away. Excellent breakfast served.

Great hotel close to everything we were looking for.

We booked this hotel by chance after our other accommodation was not appropriate for our 2yold daughter. It ended up being fantastic. The service was amazing - especially Anne who did the afternoon shift. They bent over backwards for us and made our stay in Copenhagen even better because of how friendly they all were to us and our daughter. We hired […] bikes from the hotel (they even had bikes with a child seat) and the breakfast was good. The morning reception staff were really helpful at recommending places to visit. We have already recommended this hotel to others. Our only slight issue was the water in the shower was hot but not as hot as I normally like it but we were so happy with everything else that we didn't even raise it as an issue. Lisätietoja

We were talked into an upgrade for a suite with a view. Glad we were. The view was wonderful! Would recomend asking for floors 2 and up, just to have a quieter room (street noise/partiers at night). Really enjoyed the hotel. Nice, friendly staff. Really great location.

Hotel was very clean and located in a nice part of town, but it was a bit of a walk to the actual city center. The biggest disappointment we had was the size of the room -- my friend and I were literally on top of each other and had to squeeze by each other to get to the bathroom. The hotel and room were very clean though.

Visited for the weekend with my 10-year old daughter. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast selection was very good, and the proximity to Nyhavn was wonderful. However, in winter with a child, the slightly longer walks required to reach the train station were a bit of a challenge. We were very pleased with the Strand Hotel in Coopenhagen. It was exactly as advertised and the people working there were very pleasant and helpful during our stay. We did not have the breakfast buffet which was an extra charge if we chose because we are not big breakfast eaters but during the day, there were cookies out in the gathering area for guests. […] We ended up having to ask for a short extension of our check-out time and they were very accommodating. The strand is a mid-priced hotel in a very expensive city, but the hotel staff are worth the money. They are exceptionally helpful and provide detailed city information, assist with all your needs and do so in English...

This hotel is a renovated old warehouse and the location is super--right on the harbor looking out to Christianshaven. However, the carpets needed to be cleaned as they were very dirty, so when I checked in , I called the reception desk and they moved me to a room that has hardwood floors on the first floor, and I recommend you do that also. The Copenhagen Strand is a great place overall. It's located right on the harbor and very close to both Nyhavn and Amalienborg Palace. A metro stop is about a five minute walk away. The rooms are small, quiet, and comfortable. The staff is very very helpful and courteous. If you're looking to be by Tivoli, I would recommend a different location but […] if you're interested in having a nice place right on the harbor and next to Nyhavn, this is a great place to stay! Very helpful staff. Good location right on the water and walking distance to everywhere. The main theater and Nyhaven are right next door.

Excellent location. Very pleasant lobby. Only negative issue is the lack of a bar or restaurant inside the hotel - although there are several close by.

Title pretty much says it all! Easy walk to all the sites I wanted to see; Kongens Nytorv, Nyhavn, Christiana, Stroget, City Hall, Roseburg Gardens. Room was very nice, lots of room for one person, would have been fine for two. All the facilities in the room were in perfect working order and everything was nice and clean.
