Location.
The Dom Pedro Golf Hotel is a large modern property located in the centre of Vilamoura on the Algarve coast, 300 metres from the beach and cosmopolitan yacht marina. Guests can also visit the nearby beach for sunbathing, swimming and water sports, or visit the Vilamoura Casino, directly in front of the hotel. Faro International Airport is 25 kilometres away.
Hotel Features.
Guests can relax by the large outdoor pool whilst sipping cool drinks from the poolside bar knowing that kids will be kept entertained at the mini-club (seasonal) or in one of the two children's pools; babysitting is also available on request (surcharge). Guests can enjoy a pampering visit to the hair salon or the spa which features an indoor pool, spa tub, steam room, and three treatment rooms. In the evening guests can dance in the bar and enjoy live music and shows. Other amenities include wireless Internet access, dry cleaning and complimentary on-site parking. Guests can have a delicious meal at one of the hotel restaurants. There are three on site tennis courts, volleyball pitch and a games room. At the hospitality golf desk, bookings can be made at different courses in the area and there is also a free shuttle bus service to and from the Vilamoura and Vilasol Golf courses.

This 9 floor hotel features 266 air-conditioned guestrooms decorated in warm Mediterranean tones and featuring terracotta tiled floors and marble topped dressing tables. The sitting areas lead out onto semi- furnished balconies overlooking the gardens or ocean. All include cable TV, direct-dial phone, wireless Internet connections, minibars, safes and hair dryers.

Hotelli oli positiivinen yllätys - kunnostettu, puhdas- erottui ympäristössä edukseen. Sijainti keskeinen. Ystävällinen palvelu, englantikin luonnisti.

Hotellihuone oli hyvänkokoinen ja ihan hyvin sisustettu. Sängyt olivat kohvahkot verrattuna siihen mihin olemme tottuneet. Koska käyntimme oli sesongin ulkopuolella ymmärrettävästi palveluita oli vähemmän ja olimmekin melkein ainoita asukkaita hotellissa, joten rauhallista oli. Netin käyttö onnistui mutkattomasti hotelli tilavassa ja hienossa aulassa. Olisimme tosin toivoneet yhteyttä myös huoneeseen. Allasalueet eivät olleet käytössä, mutta tuskin niitä olisimme tarvinneetkaan. Matka merenrantaan oli ihan kohtuullinen n. 600 metriä. Lämmintä vettä oli käytettävissä rajallisesti, mutta hyvällä organisoinnilla sekin onnistuu ilman ongelmia. Ainut negatiivinen puoli oli, että keittiövarustus oli heikonlainen. Esim. tiskiharjaa, luuttua tai tiskiainetta ei ollut lainkaan. Ruokailuvälineitä oli niukasti. Sijainti ei ole ihan paras mahdollinen, mutta taksi oli helposti saatavilla ja edullinen. Kaikenkaikkiaan mukava ja rauhallinen hotelli.

Erittäin hyvä hinta-laatusuhde, hyvä aamiainen, mukava henkilökunta, joka osaa hyvin englantia. Ilmainen nettiyhteys, hyvä sijainti (esim. Chapel of bones parinsadan metrin päässä).

The Dom Pedro Golf Resort SPA Aquae has a cardio-fitness room, spa tub, sauna, three treatment rooms, and an indoor chromotherapy pool.
Oliva restaurant - Features à la carte Mediterranean cuisine for lunch and dinner.
White Restaurant - Buffet restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Gazebo Pool Bar - Poolside bar and snack bar open in warm weather. Bar service to late night in summer. Live entertainment in summer.
Alambique Bar - Lobby bar with live music, dance floor. Open early evening to late night. (Closed in summer.)
The Dom Pedro beach club is located on Marina Beach, 200 metres from the hotel. In summer, the beach club rents out sun loungers, sun shades, and pedal boats exclusively to guests of Dom Pedro hotels. Water-sports equipment can be hired from independent operators.
Complimentary facilities at the hotel include three hard-surface tennis courts and lawn volleyball. There is also a games room with coin-operated games, and table tennis (deposit required).
A complimentary shuttle service operates to all four golf courses in Vilamoura and to Vila Sol golf course. A lobby golf desk books playing times. Facilities in Vilamoura include a sports complex, equestrian centre and shooting club.

A modern resort created in the 1970s, Vilamoura is famous for its marina and several championship golf courses. What it lacks in local character it makes up for in facilities as one of Europe’s largest leisure complexes, including most water sports. By night the marina is the lively hub with bars and eateries for all budgets, plus a casino and nightclubs. The adjacent beach of Praia da Falésia is recommended.

Everything worked well. Clean, nice, enough services (also Pro Shop & rental golf clubs), good breakfast, restaurang, good location. Best of all was free shuttle bus to 4-5 golf nearest golf courses (Oceanico golf).

"Dom Pedro Golf"
Ideal hotel for Vilamoura Marina and beach. Clean and tidy in a quiet location. Black out blinds were great for those sunny mornings we are not used to in the UK. Good breakfast. Excellent pool and garden area with plenty of loungers. B&B, so we didn't try lunch or dinner. Would definitely recommend / return.
"Grossly mis-leading to call this a 5-star hotel"
I have travelled extensively with my job for more than 12 years and as a result have been fortunate to stay in many 5-star hotels. I accept that a leisure hotel such as the Dom Pedro Golf may not be to the standard of a modern city hotel, however, I was very dissappointed in the quality here. Possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed at...Apart from […] a very bland and basic reception / lobby, the room was more akin to an apartment with very dated, basic and sparse furnishings. Apparently, the only difference between our Club room and a standard room is that a fruit basket and robes are provided. While the pool itself is not bad, the pool area was very poor. No one attending the bar or asking customers if they would like refreshments....to be honest, not that many customers around, I got the sense the hotel was almost empty. Also didn't help that the construction works at the Crowne Plaza next door was the backdrop. Again, no pool area staffing meant no background music...no atmosphere... Breakfast itself was fine...but the room that it is held in was awful - again, very dated, no natural light. The Spa - basically, a shed attached on to the property with an indoor pool and hot-tub..changing room has lockers. That's it...no showers, no toilets, no chairs! Forget about amenities.. I don't really write reviews generally but am compelled to in this case. Honestly, the Portuguese tourist board must explain how / why it continues to award this hotel a 5-star. Lisätietoja

Das Dom Pedro Golf Hotel liegt sehr zentral, und schön in der Nähe des keinen Jachthafens. Sehr gut um die Algarve zu bereisen.

Este Hotel apresenta 5 estrelas mas devia já retirar uma no mínimo. O pior foi o pequeno almoço com grande falta de empregados e uma fila pior do que na Segurança Social... Também Paguei o extra para ter vista mar quando cheguei descobri que só era uma vista ...lateral....

Nette kamers, niet erg groot. Heel erg schoon. Een mooie tuin met bomen en zwembad. Je kan altijd in de schaduw zitten. Wel een groot hotel met alleen maar engelsen en portugezen. Wij hadden alleen ontbijt. Dat was goed. Je bord was alleen al weg voordat het leeg was. Het strand en de Marina zijn niet al te ver. Is goed te lopen.
