Rydges Auckland - Auckland

I only stayed one night. The service was great and friendly and the location very central but still quiet at night. Definetely good for people travelling alone or couples and business travelers of course. Would stay there again!

It was a nice hotel with a nice rooms. It was cool but not a five star place. Bathrooms were a bit small. Looks like a nice decorated hotel, but made of pretty cheap materials. Quite new and refreshed feeling when enter the lobby, friendly and help staff. Handy to downtown with all the restautants,shops and the harbour. Simple style but bring me the home feeling.

The room was fine and comfortable. There was free internet providing you have your own laptop. I did not like the parking and the fee but that probably comes with parking in a city. Otherwise, the location was decent and room was very nice. I would stay there again.

The hotel is located to close to The Sky Tower where there is the long distance shuttle bus terminal from where you can go to other major cities. The room has enough space enable you to move around with having 2 large suitcases open. The room is relatively new and well maintained and neat and tidy. Convenient location, rooms had free wi-fi. I'd stay there again.

Very comfortable, clean and great location. Staff were friendly and efficient and service excellent. Enjoyed the facilities but microwave would have been good addition to room. Great facilities including gym but disappointed no swimming pool.

This hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Auckland city centre - just minutes from the Sky Tower, Viaduct, Queen Street etc Rooms were modern and clean and staff very friendly. Would stay here again.

We where late with our booking, so had to take a room with a king bed, this tuned out to be an internal facing room no; 910, the sink area built onto a small wall and was open plan into the bedroom, the shower area had no extraction, a disappointing room.

Everything is so clean and perfect! Location, service,.. I definitely recommend this hotel to others. If we visit Auckland again, then we will definitely stay there.

Very good location and great service, friendly staff. The bed was very comfortable.

Super comfortable bed and pillows - very hard to leave. Right next to skycity and close to viaduct. Only complaint was the quality of the tv picture and the price for internet- $10 an hour. We found an internet cafe around the corner that was cheaper.

I checked in, as I have elsewhere in the US and Australia as well as New Zealand. I connected my laptop to collect email and upon check out received a $4,500.00 bill for data usage. I did not down load movies, music or large files. The hotel "negotiated with their ISP a reduction of the charge to $800.00! A great location in the central city, and easy walk to town & the viaduct.

Great service and freindly staff and an awesome bar the breakfast was great although alittle on the high side for cost. The room was great also good veiws of the tower etc room was clean and tidy my partner found the bed was a little to hard for her but ok for me and tv needs better reception but overall we would stay again

Great stay, excellent locality. We didnt use the dining facilities so unable to comment on these.

Generally the room and hotel were exelent, although I do have concerns about houskeeping. The room on the whole apeared to have been cleaned well but the bathroom was a diferent story with little or no cleaning in or around the hand basin, also the coffee cups that were rinsed by us remained in the same place by the hand basin.Towells had been changed […] , it was just the handbasin area. Another Rydges-reliable hotel - clean, well-appointed, no surprises. The only advice I'd give regarding this hotel is the wisdom of staying in Auckland - which is in no way a criticism of the hotel. If you've got to be in Auckland, for work for example, then stay at this hotel. We had a one night stay and in the rush of checking out I left my mothers eternity ring behind, rang as soon as we disembarked from our flight and the concierge quickly took the details and returned my call a short time later to say ring found and mailed it straight off, much to my relief. The place is central to all from Shopping at Queen street, about 5 minutes walk to the water, all conviently located. Staff are all super friendly, even the concierge from Morroco was helpful and knowledgeble on the areas and the trips. I only have 2 issue with the hotel. To flush your toilet, you have to push this hard bottom in and it took a while […] to flash. Inorder to work well have the faucet going, but this is waiste of water. When I check out of the hotel they charge me $4.00 on the compliment coffee with does not make sense and did not want to argue this time. Centrally located, easy to navigate from and used the sky tower as a point of reference as it was next door. Cafes and parks short walk. Rooms were newly refurbished along with the lobby area. Convenience store located just outside hotel. Convenient, efficient, clean.

I think the hotel has recently been redecorated. My room had all the up to date bits and pieces that make a stay comfortable. Particularly good was the modern shower/bathroom - in fact it was a wet room with a powerful shower. An excellent hotel for an overnight stay - I'm not sure what it would be like for more than one night.

Clean and safe. Updated and near Queen street and everything downtown. I could not be happier. I only stayed one night and got a great rate. I will be back again. I could see the Sky Tower out my room window. Nice people and Staff.

This hotel is in a great location to sighsee around Auckland. Only a block from the Auckland tower, and within walking distance of all downtown area. We enjoyed the hotel but didn't get the room we booked with a deluxe king bed. First, they put us in the new part of the hotel which was very nice but in a double bed of which we have not slept in for […] 25 years. the room are very small, Aircondition worked bad, the bed was not comfortable.

room was not ready. bathroom uncleaned, personal papers of previous guest lying in the room. safe box and tv remote control were not working and were not repaired/exchanged despite daily requests at reception and manager on duty. definitely NO hotel suitable for business travellers. - no service quality, not business center. It was a great stay at the hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room was outfitted in a modern style, and the location was convenient to everything but still on a quiet street. The only thing that we would have preferred was a bathtub, or at least a shower where water didn't pour all over the floor (thought he bathoroom looked quite stylish, the partial […] glass wall did not prevent water from spraying all out by the toilet area). Enjoyed staying here in very comfortable corner of building room overlooking green. Excellent staff with good local info. Disappointed that the advertised spa and jacuzzi were out of order the day we were there.

This hotel is ideally situated, near the harbour, sky tower and Queen'street : all you need in the CBD. The bedroom clean and quiet. The staff at the reception was efficient and I kept a wonderful souvenir of the french bar tender who was friendly and very good at his job.
