Park Shore Waikiki an Aqua Hotel - Honolulu

Wonderful, relaxful, enjoyable, close to beach, International Market Place, and bus service. Great hotel. Have stayed at Park Shore eight times, and still enjoy staying there. Will go again in two years.

Great location, can get traffic noise at times

We initially were given a very small room with double bed when I had booked and paid for a kingsize. On asking for upgrade the receptionist said they were fully booked and couldnt do anything and the bed was not guaranteed. I asked to speak to the Manager who got us another room with kingsize bed the next day (for 6 night stay). I thought this hotel […] was overpriced for being as old and tatty (in rooms) but made up for it by having some staff who were very helpful (not all). Wifii only available in lobby. Being right opposite the beach was very good though and within walking distance of other hotels, beaches, bars and food stores. Lisätietoja

We had a very pleasant time, cant beat location

This is my hotel of choice for a quick 1-2 day Honolulu stay. Across the street from Waikiki Beach, close to restaurants, etc.

The staff as always were great and very helpful. Just starting on a renovation so the older carpeting and drapes will be going soon. Yoshitsune restaurant was wonderful and Lulu's is a great place for an afternoon glass of wine. Will continue to be my first pick in Honolulu.

great great location, looks over the park, not another hotel and is on the beach! was nice enough, but needs a bit of a make over. staff were really friendly and nice. i would stay there again.

Across the street from the beach, the zoo and near plenty of restaurants. For the price, can't be beat.

This hotel is well worth the money for the location alone. Across the street from the zoo, short walk to the aquarium and right across the street from the beach. Excellent Japanese restaurant, Yoshitsune, in lobby; LuLu's for drinks and view. Pool area is very pleasant new furniture and umbrellas added since last stay. The hotel is located on Kapahulu, […] a main street and bus route so rooms on the street can be noisy at night. Higher floors or a room closer to the elevator on the Park side are quieter. The base rate rooms are very basic; have found the ocean view rooms to be more comfortable and for not much more money. The staff have been unfailingly courteous and helpful. As a solo female traveler nearing the "golden years" I appreciate finding a clean, quiet, safe hotel in a city the size of Honolulu. Lisätietoja

The hotel was nice and comfortable and right along Waikiki beach. The concierge service was extremely helpful, especially since it was raining a lot of the time that we were there! The only complaints that I have were that the television was old, no free wi-fi, old worn out carpet, and the door in the bathroom was starting to rot from water damage from […] all of the steam. Comfortable beds, good dark curtains, close to conveniences, excellent staff and service, good price. Maintenance was below standard - bathrooms need rechalking, rugs are spotted, room and furniture needs a good coat of paint, no microwave, no sink stopper, no counter space, AC either on or off - hard to regulate temperature for the week.

I stayed at the Park Shore hotel for eleven nights. The hotel is in a great location very close to Waikiki beach, and right on the busy and stimulating Kalakaua Avenue. The room was kept nice and clean by the housekeeping staff. The Television set was great, a big screen in high definition. The room had everything you need and the air conditioning […] worked beautifully. The reception and valet staff were very friendly and helpful. One piece of advice though, dont make the mistake of leaving the french doors in your room open at night for the cool tropical breeze, because you will get mosquitoes and although you cant hear them or see them they pack a hefty bite! So just remember at night to keep your balcony window/doors closed. The air conditioning works a treat. Great location, friendly staff and comfortable hotel with swimming pool available. And for those gym people like myself, the 24 hour fitness centre is not far away and you get a great discount from the hotel. I thoroughly recommend the Park Shore as an excellent hotel to stay in. Rooms are very small. Bathrooms really old and tired looking. Linen on the bed - well just don't lift up the valence and look under the bed - these need to be all thrown out.

Park Shore Hotel in Honolulu was the 2nd time I have stay. The first time was for our 25th anniversary and this time our 30th anniversary. My husband I have enjoy both times. The people are always so helpful and cordious. We also went for the Honolulu Marathon this time. We love our 9 days stay!!! We also had a minor episod on 12/10, we got food posion. […] But the front desk was also helpful refering us to a near Hospital (The Queens Med Center). The doctor and nurse staff was so nice. We really appreciated our stay at this hotel : the best location, so close to the beach and everything, the best view on Diamond Head, etc. All the staff at the reception desk were so nice and so helpful. We will definitely come back !

The hotel rooms are very old and outdated, but it was ok for just sleeping, as we were out during the day anyways. The staff there were absolutely amazing. They made sure we were taken care of and offered their assistance all the time. Location is also great- right across from Waikiki Beach!

This is my second time at the Park Shore in Wakiki and I loved it. It's across from the park and the beach. The food at the 2nd floor sports bar was excellent. My view was fantastic!!

Park Shore has a nice location at the end of the busy Waikiki area next to the Kapiʻolani Regional Park and Honolulu Zoo. Nice view when're you having a room with oceanview. Though, it's not a 5-star hotel. But it will have some improvements next year. Nonetheless, compared with the price of other hotels it's ok. Inet in lobby or on a separate table […] in the 2nd floor. For a few Dollars you can rent a modem for WIFI in the room. You can also book tours from there. Ask for the Wikipedia agent Leimomi. She's totally nice and super helpful. Great service! Lisätietoja

Fair price for the room.

I was pleased with my stay at the Park Shore on Waikiki. The room itself was a little dated and in need of a make over but clean and comfortable non the less. I would have been happier with the stay if they had provided an early check in as our flight arrived very early in the morning and we could not obtain our room any earlier than 3pm.

The hotel is not the Ritz by any stretch but the location and the views were SO awesome!! I had a balcony with my room and to sit out there and watch the ocean was so great. The pillows weren't down feather and were so comfy and made for many a good nights sleep the whole time I was there. Had a fridge with the room which was nice for cold drinks etc. […] The TV in the room was SO big it almost took up one side of the wall. One down side was the noise from the band at LuLu's especially on the weekends. Also, don't leave your sliding glass door open while you are gone or the pigeons and white doves will invade your room. Great location, close to the beach, and a bit away from the crazy shopping at Waikiki, a block or two, great views, good restaurants close by, will stay here again.

The Park Shore hotel is in a great location and the staff was easy to deal with and worked with me when I checked out early. When I got to the room...I.was shocked with the condition and the size. Very poor condition and by far the smallest room I have ever stayed in. I asked to look at another room as I was told that the were much better. Turns out […] they were MUCH worse than the one I had. I typically stay at the Park Shore. The views of the ocean are well worth the stay.

I never give bad reviews but this hotel doesn't even deserve one star. The hotel rooms are in terrible condition, no place to put anything, tiny rooms, filthy carpets, doors that don't close and I got bit by bugs at night. The staff was very nice and let me check out 2 nights earlier and refunded my money. The location is great, I almost slept at the […] beach - anything to avoid our terrible room. The rooms were very basic and could use a little decor. Ice cold blue walls with a very little artwork. The rooms got very cold. I wish they would spent some money on updating. But.... The location was fantastic. on the end no hotel blocking the left side. Lu Lu's is attached and is a fantastic place to eat. The food was great. Star Bucks was also located […] in front of the hotel. The lobby and location of this hotel is very nice and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately the room itself was not so great. The beds were soft and lumpy with flat pillows and old comforters poor quality sheets. Carpet was stained and the AC rattled all night with a moldy smell. I was disappointed.

The Park Shore Waikiki was nice to stay in but the fridge didn't work and the bed was hard. On the plus side it was close to the beach and some stores

stayed at this hotel this month, orginally booked a standard room. This room is really bad, dark, facing another building, the balcony is about 30cm wide, no chairs, so you cant have a relaxing afternoon on the balcony. After one week we could stand it we upgraded to a diamond head and ocean veiw room, this room was alot brighter and more comfortable, […] had a decent balcony and view of the beach and pool. Pool is no very big but does the job, pool deck great for sunbaking. Location is good across the road from the quieter park of waikiki beach, yet late a night there is a couple of drunks that hang around the streets asking for money. LULU's bar downstairs is excellent for food and drinks would recommend the squid and swordfish. couldnt fault the food and service and good prices, also happy hour btwn 3-5pm. Truly enjoyed our night at the Park Shore. The ocean view room really had a good view of the ocean. The hotel is right across the street from Waikiki beach one way and across the street from Kapiolani Park the other way. Great location. You have to try the Stuffed French Toast at LuLu's for breakfast. REMARKABLE! Right across the street from Duke's statue, beautiful ocean view (if that's what you choose) and updated, modern small rooms. Stayed with a family of 9 with children all on the same floor. Perfect for what we needed.

Room very noisy from adjacent machinery, 24hrs. Bathroom tub, porcelain peeling, rust in tap areas,painted over,lousy repair. No privacy due to windows open to the pool area, not very secure. Had to keep curtains closed for privacy. After first night, requested a different room, was told no other rooms available till the end of September. Tried several […] hotels in the area no vacancies. This hotel met my needs of providing a clean, inexpensive place walking distance to everything. The place is basic, but has a decent pool and is very clean and quite affordable and across the street from the beach. The cool thing about this location is that it is also across the street from Kapiolani park, with walking/running access to Diamond Head. […] Also, if you want to escape the crazy tourist vibe of Waikiki, you can just walk away from the ocean on Kapahulu and find inexpensive (nothing fancy) restaurants that locals go to. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR LOCATION PURPOSES. BEACH AND ZOO ACROSS THE STREET, LOTS OF SHOPS & EATERY AND IN WALKING DISTANCE TO THE WAIKIKI SHELL IF YOU HAVE AN EVENT TO ATTEND. STAFF WAS GREAT!! ROOMS HOWEVER, WAS VERY SMALL, ALL BASIC SINGLE CHAIR TO SIT ON, TV WAS OLD STYLE JUST FITS ON 3 DRAWER DRESSER IF A ROLLAWAY BED WAS REQUIRED IT WOULD […] NOT FIT. VERY LITTLE SPACE AS IS TO MOVE AROUND. AS WELL AS THE BATHROOM, GOOD FOR ONE PERSON. ROOMS CLEANLINESS WAS OKAY FOR WHAT YOU GOT. THIS HOTEL WAS BY FAR THE "SMALLEST" I'VE BOOKED. BUT I ONLY NEEDED PLACE TO SLEEP THAT WAS CLOSE TO WAIKIKI SHELL, SO I COULD DRINK ALL NIGHT WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT DRIVING HOME. OH ONE MORE THING, NOT TO MENTION THE PARKING. THERE IS NONE!!! I appreciated the excellent accomodations the staff made in giving me the room I requested. I also like the Kamaaina discount for the parking. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. It was very close to the venue we were attending events at that weekend, the fact that it was a two minute walk to the venue was a plus!

First time at this hotel; I'll be back. Views cannot be beat. Location=awesome. Lulu's Restaurant/bar is on 2nd floor (and open to outside) open 7a-2a - not bad bar food and live music. ABC store off lobby and another out front. Surf school 5 steps away and a Starbucks next to that! Hotel is older, and rooms are not large but have updated furniture, […] paint, linens, TV, and mini fridge. Microwave not included (but available), room safe has a nominal fee (didn't need it). Love that they do "sheet/blanket/sheet" and the white on seafoam green really added to the beachy feel. My king bed was real comfy. I was on the 15th floor and had an almost 360 view; straight ahead-Diamond Head, the Honolulu Zoo, the beach (and boardwalk), and the ocean. Outdoor pool (also part of my view) was on 2 or 3 and looked inviting, but I swam at the beach. The staff is A+++ Friendly, welcoming, helpful and chill. In Waikiki, but you'd never know by the view from my room and balcony! You could pay lots more for a hotel with a granite lobby...but why would you when you can stay in this gem! Lisätietoja

i wanted to spend my birthday weekend with my girlfriend in an ocean view room. i should've trusted the reviews (below 4 = no good). sometimes you can tell a lot about a hotel from the lobby. the lobby here is very simple but not impressive. the room was less than impressive. the king size bed barely fit the room, with about 3 feet of space to the wall, […] and about 4 feet to the other sliding balcony door. they had plain white sheets that i didn't even feel comfortable laying down on or in. the bathroom didn't look clean either. there were signs of rust in the tub, the door, and the sink. we slept uncomfortably for a few hours and already made up our minds that we would check out early. at least the people at the front desk were very courteous though. oh yeah, but they had a nice LG flat screen HDTV. i don't remember if it had cable though. sorry. place has more of a motel feel than an actual hotel. think REAL cheap motel. the location is what you're paying for though.
