Front desk staff was always pleasant and ready to assist. Room clean and quiet. Like that the coffee pot was always on. Close to dining and shopping if needed. Convenient to highway and a quick drive to Mayo.

Room what we expected. We don't need much room, but would like a clean one. Maids need to clean baseboards and behind bathroom door. Bedspread had cigarette burn in it and found dog hair on comforter. Our stay at the Microtel a couple years ago was much better.

Finally, an intelligent setup of the room. The TV is mounted on top of a cupboard so you can see it while bed. You don't have to peer over your toes. The reading lights are great, conveniently switched on and off while lying in bed. You don't have to get up or reach awkwardly to turn them on or off. There's a comfortable window seat for reading or TV […] viewing. The room was very quiet. The TV's are enclosed in a cubby so the sound is muffled from other rooms. Everything was very clean. Friendly staff but they forgot our wake-up call one morning. Fortunately, we woke up on our own. The shuttle to the Mayo Clinic was extremely helpful and appreciated. Our room was small and could have used another chair instead of having to sit on the bed to watch TV.

Our room was spacious and well laid out. It had a microwave and a refrigerator also. There was a nice selection for the continental breakfast. The dining room was comfortable. The Microtel was a nice home away from home.

Rooms were very clean and reasonable. Room was alittle small, but fine. Close to restaurants and easy to get to Mayo Clinic. Will stay there again.

The baseboards in the bathroom were never cleaned. We were there for over a week. They looked like they had blood spots on them .Very gross and make me wonder about how well other thing were cleaned. Front desk staff was alway friendly and helpful. We really liked the suttle service to the Mayo clinic.

We had a very enjoyable stay for two nights, the desk help was very helpful, they helped us find a very good place to eat for our anniversary dinner. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was very tasty. We loved our stay there,Thank-You!

The rooms are small but well maintained with an adequate bathroom. The breakfast is almost all carbs, but all was fresh. The availability of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate 24/7 was nice. Access to highway and shopping was good.

I drove down from the Twin Cities to have an early morning visit to the Mayo Clinic. I didn't want to make the full to and from trip in one day so I booked the cheapest hotel rated above four stars I could find on hotels.com. I got in late in the evening and only had enough time to look up directions for the next morning once I got settled into my room. I didn’t see much of the hotel except the lobby, my room and the hallway in between. The condition of the room was adequate. With the exception of some caulking issues and trim deterioration in the bathroom, the appearance of the room was fine. It looked like patching was attempted, although poorly and was an eyesore that most people probably wouldn’t even notice. The room was relatively small with one queen size bed, a very small desk which was more like a shelf attached to the wall, a nightstand on each side of the bed, a closet, a couple of drawers for personal belongings and the bathroom. The TV was probably a 32” CRT and mounted above the closet. It never got turned on so I can’t comment on the quality or channels. There was one feature I haven’t seen before and thought was unique. There was a day bed type of shelf in front of the window about waist height. It had a chair cushion the length of it and made a great place to set my bags and didn’t require I find a fold-out luggage rack as I normally would. The bed was comfortable as far as hotel beds go. There were plenty of pillows, an alarm clock and lights directly above the bed making reading before bed easy. The one thing I actually complained about in a letter I left on the desk before I left to check out was an odor coming from the sink drain. My husband and I were just staying overnight, so we didn't need much room. Overall, though, the room is tiny and the TV is old. It is convenient to have breakfast right at the motel to save time. Decent breakfast, warm staff, convenient location

The room and bed were comfortable, the staff was courteous, and the location was very convenient.

Small space but clean and adaquate for our needs.

Had never stayed at a Microtel before since I tend to avoid 2 star places due to bad experiences elsewhere, but decided to give it a try based on its strong reviews. We have stayed there once before and found it very clean and comfortable. Staff was nice and helpfull. We did not make a reservation this time on the internet so price was a little higher then we like to pay. But over all will stay there again.

Other than not being able to contact the front desk for a wake-up call (this has been a problem on all but 1 of my stays), this is an inexpensive stay with quality rooms. But don't expect large rooms and luxury.... rooms are basic and small. But beds are comfortable, lots of TV channels, free WiFi, and it's clean. This was our third visit to this hotel and it was another 5-star visit. Clean rooms, fresh rooms, free breakfast, convenience to restaurants, Target, etc. Very friendly and hard working staff. Just another wonderful stay.

This hotel is nice for the price. It is within 1/2 mile of restaurants but not walkin distance for anyone not in good shape to walk that far. The shuttle to the Mayo clinic was great. They offer a wide variety of delivery for meals from local restaurants.

ROOM WAS SMALL AS WE EXPECTED, BUT VERY COMFORTABLE. LOTS OF STORAGE AND PLENTY OF HEAT IN THE BATHROOM. IMPORTANT IN MN. BREAKFAST WAS FINE AND SHUTTLE TO MAYO CLINIC EXCELLENT. STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT. ENJOYED THE AMENITIES, INCLUDING FREE INTERNET. WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.

A very good place stay.

We used to stay at a competitor hotel very close to this one. When we checked Microtel's rates and found they are cheaper AND that they offer free breakfast, it was a no brainer where we would stay in the future. Rooms are well lit and beds are comfy! We come back every November for a conference at the Mayo Civic Center. Microtel is very reasonable in price, has a comfortable bed, shower--is quiet and has a great breakfast. It might be small for families, but for singles or couples, it is fine.

This hotel was meticulously clean with a friendly, timely, free shuttle to the Mayo Clinic and hospitals. The free breakfast is a nice bonus. Why would anyone want to pay more?

Spent one night here while attending a conference. It was close, convenient to everything, and a nice hotel. The breakfast was adequate for a continental style one. My bed was very comfortable and I got a good night's sleep! Would recommend to friends and family!

Rooms were spotless, the bed was more comfortable than the one I have at home, extended breakfast was fabulous, and having shuttle service to the Mayo Clinic was a benefit that I greatly appreciated!

This is my 4th stay at this hotel. The rooms are small but very comfortable. I'm always amazed at how well I sleep here.

I was really impressed with this little hotel. I was a single in a single room with a double bed. Even though space was limited, the usage of space was wonderful. First I had a room with just a Queen size bed. The room was small but still quite adequate for one person, especially for the price. It didn't have a refrigerator or microwave though so you have to take that into consideration. After I checked out, I ended up needing to stay another night so I got the larger room with 2 beds. It was not much more, was […] a lot larger and had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and an ironing board/iron. I was happy with the first room but extremely happy with the second one. The staff was friendly and helpful but the front desk was pretty busy most of the time that I needed something so I think they could use more help there. There were places in the hotel that I could smell smoke, but not in either of the rooms I stayed in. The shuttle to the Mayo Clinic was awesome. This was our third visit to Mayo. This hotel is clean, reasonably priced, has a free breakfast and fridge, is located very close to good restaurants, Target and WalMart and as only minutes away from down town. Great and helpful staff as well. Got our money's worth and then some.

The room was small but it worked well for us. It was clean and quiet. I would recommend it to anyone that just needs a room for the night. It was close to restaurants and shopping as well.

Great hotel for the price, room was small, but we knew that before going. Its everyhting we needed and nothing we didn't. We will stay there again.

WE JUST GOT BACK FRO MAYO CLINIC, OUR STAY AT MICRO HOTEL AND SUITES WAS GREAT. THE STAFF VERY FRIENDLY, THE ROOM WAS SMALL BUT CLEAN AND HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED, THE GROUNDS WERE WELL MAINTAINED AND THE SHUTTLE TO THE CLINIC WAS A LIFE SAVER, I AM GOING BACK IN THREE MONTHS AND WILL STAY THERE AGAIN. THE BREAKFAST WAS GREAT TOO.

Hotel OK, location good, breakfast worthless. Eat elsewhere.
