We were very pleased with the location convenient to Fort Jackson; the Columbia airport, and several restaurants within walking distance. There is a K-mart about a mile down on Two-Notch Rd, as well as a Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of America. The hotel itself was okay, rooms kept clean, and clean towels daily, with beds being made and trash emptied. Negatvies […] were the lack of coffee pot in room and intermittent Wi-Fi from room itself. After two days, they reset it so did not have to go into hallway or downstairs to use the Ipad. No sink or tub stoppers, so had to take showers no baths. Lisätietoja

The location was very convienient to resturants but it sure could use an update Very stuffy and smelled old seemed clean enough but could use some sprucing up! Price was very reasonable
"Pretty good location."
The A/C was super cold, could not adjust it. Either too hot or too cold. Overall a good deal for the price. Friendly staff
"You get what you pay for"
This is a very basic hotel with no frills. The was no breakfast, no coffee in the room, or coffee in the lobby. The A/C unit was noisy (but you can't really exist without it in SC) and the toilet ran all night. "Microtel TwoNotch Road - Columbia,SC"
Hotel personnel attempted to give me a smoking room even though my reservation asked for non-smoking. Paper-thin walls. Smallest queen bed I've ever slept in. Hotel personnel called to remind me of check out time but I had to wait 15min for someone to come to the desk. When he finally got tere he said I was "good to go". Wasted time.
"Good Stay at an Affordable Price"
The hotel is quiet, comfortable, and on a very nice side of town. The employees are friendly, in fact, I have another reservation coming up. I really enjoy my stay here.

That Hotel is okay for just a quick in and out stay. The TV was not working properly, channels were fuzzy! The shower had no shower head on it. One of my face towels were dirty. This hotel is not a place to hang out in, just a place to rest.
"Super Loud"
The room was ok for the price, but with the neighbors we had. I'll rather fork out an extra 20 dollars and stay somewhere a little bit nicer.

We were very please with the overall motel. The room was very clean. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was adequate. The only slight problem was that it was a little hard to find, if you don't know the area. We would gladly stay there again.

Room was clean but bed was very hard. The toilet seem to flush every 10 minutes all through the night. Kept me awake. After a long day of driving, I just wanted a quiet place to sleep. Didn't get that. It was located near places to eat so that was good. and Convenient on and off freeway.
Hotel was alittle old but it was fine. Staff were very friendly.
The room had an odor that was terrible. It was not just in our room. My daughter had a separate room and had the same odor.
"Run-down hotel"
This hotel would be a good choice for someone who wants a simple room with only the basic amenities. I would not recommend it for a family stay. The hotel seemed somewhat run-down and that it'd seen better days. If you want the bare basics, stay here.

The room was very comfortable. Down comforter. Large TV. Spacious room with window seats. The Hotel overall was very clean. A great place to stay for the price.

At checkin was givin a smokeing room wich we requsted non,and to add insult the desk clerk gave my partner and I sepert beds ,we asked for one queen beed and about that bed hard as a rock!!! The room was so dirty we did not take our clothes off nor pulled the sheets back .Spend the extra paople and get a better hotel !!!!!!!!

Overall everything was fine - just wish we had known they were in the process of renovating the hotel - lots of remodeling projects going on -
This hotel is under renovation and I paint fumes were terrible. The picture is not accurate online the hotel room is much smaller. The bed was comfortable the only plus.
"First and last time!!!"
The hotel's exterior was nice. Great location resturants, highway was convient. The staff was very nice. Great price. The painting the contractors were doing was very messy. The rear entrance was taped off. So you had to walk to eitther end of the hall to get to your room. The beds were not Queen as advertised sized probaly a full size. The iron only […] warmed but never got hot. The ironing board would not fold down. The mini closet where the iron/board was supposed to be. The iron/board did not fit. "Microtel. a place to sleep"
I went to the microtel only for 2 nights as an in between place between my apt and new house. The people were very nice and called to make sure I was comfortable and gave you coupons. the place was undergoing renovations so it was a little dirty, but overall not bad. "Under construction and no elevator"
No elevator on the 2nd floor so be prepared to lug your bags up the stairs. Renovation of rooms going on at what appears to be a slow pace. Carpet was filthy. Price was low.

booked a non-smoking room at this motel, got there and they only had smoking rooms. very disappointed but the receptionist was very nice, he let me check out the room first to see if it was overbearing with the cigarette smell, and it was.....

Microtel Inn is my Preferred choice when i'm staying in the Columbia area as far as price, location, cleanliness and availability. I will continue to stay at Microtel Inn when i'm in the Columbia area.

Arrived at the hotel and found it to be in poor condition. Checked in and went to the room and found it to be quite small. The dresser drawer was broken and hanging off and the A/C did not work. Also the bed was broken. In addition the floors creaked and sunk as you walked on them. The toilet paper was stuck to the wall due to the high humidity in the […] room from the A/C not working. "Good value"
We were in Columbia for graduation at Fort Jackson and really just needed a place to sleep. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. The microwave and mini-fridge in the room were convenient. The air conditioner didn't work right and the breakfast area was too small but overall it was adequate.

"Cheaper is not always better!"
Hotel was dirty, the ac in all of the common areas was turned off making the hallways hot as hell during the day! NO POOL! Hotel was poorly constructed and poorly maintained, floors and steps flexed and creaked under foot. Spend the few extra dollars and get a better hotel - TRUST ME.

The hotel staff went out of their way to see that my stay was a great one. the hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. I recommend this hotel. Thanks again to the staff. They were informative about the surrounding area and tailored to my every need. Thank you so much.
"Never again"
Rooms (2) looked like they had never been cleaned. Sink and tubs were filthy, Cigarette burns in the sheets and the pillows looks liked the had not been washed. Stains on the carpet and window seating area. I also like a desk clerk who can speak and understand English. A friend and I recently stayed here for one night to attend a basic training graduation at Fort Jackson. When we arrived, there were "critter getter" trucks in the parking lot and shady characters in the lobby. They gave us a smoking room with one bed when we first arrived. We couldn't even walk into the room and had to turn right around and request […] another room because of the stench. It was horrible!! The next room was non-smoking room with two double beds. At least the smell was bearable in this room but needless to say, only one bed was used in this room. One of the beds was covered in stains, ranging in size and colors! We had one clean wash cloth and one clean towel, the others had short curly black hairs in them and were also covered in stains. We called the other hotels in the area but with no luck at all. "Great room for the money"
Beds are very comfortable. Microwave and fridge, very convenient. Bathroom floor hadn`t been swept. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.

The room was decent, the bed was comfortable although the room was on the small side. It was kinda confusing when trying to find the room b/c there's no door markers on the outside so i wasn't sure where to park.
