Travelodge Laguna Beach - Laguna Beach

The hotel is old and therefore not in tip top shape. The staff was very helpful and the location is far enough away from the downtown area which I really liked. The beach is right across the street (down several flights of stairs) so you can hear the water at night. I would definately stay there again.

Staff was friendly and not a bad place for the price.

My stay in this hotel was so like the hostels we stayed in years ago. The shower only trickled hot water....cold water came in blasts. So, you were forced to shower in scorching hot trickle or COLD. The decor was basically shabby...the pool was occupied by kids at 7:30 AM on a Sunday morning. The hot tub was always occupied by teenagers, dawn till dawn. […] The Continental breakfast was a joke. The coffee in the room was just awful, one sugar packet and another of "non-dairy" creamer. UCK The bed was OK, towels a bit thin, toilette products very generic. The landscaping needed work, over-grown and scraggly. Just NOT what I expected for such a prestigious adress. If you get what you pay for, this is not the place for you......WAY over priced for a hostel enviroment. I wouldn't stay there again. Lisätietoja

Great location, great price for the area and very comfortable bed. Restaurants and shops next door. Could definitely use updating, but I would stay there again for the convenience.

Older Hotel but the room was clean & quiet. The lady at the front desk was very nice and professional. My only complaint was a couple at the spa- he was taking very provocative pictures of her- not the family friendly kind while children were present.

The motel is across the street from the ocean but, really, you have to go a couple of blocks in either direction to get to the beach and it's not walking distance to many restaurants, galleries or museums. The pool and spa are fine but you can only be on your back on the poolside lounges. Towels are skimpy, repairs in rooms poorly made and parking, […] while free, can be a problem. This hotel was excellent. great service, cheap, and right across the street from a beautiful beach. Pool and hot tub are a plus. Highly recommend it.

Reasonable priced, excellent attitude among the staff, charming considering it's a chain motel. Great location, of course. Only thing I'd improve: please BAN the smokers from the long balconies and areas directly in front of rooms. I opened my window to bring in ocean air and instead got a cloud of cigarette smoke my from my chain-smoking neighbor. […] There are several spots on the property that would make for suitable designated smoking areas as a compromise. Nice clean older hotel. Very nice lady at checkin. Can see the ocean from the 2nd level of hotel.

Quaint, yet upgraded. Curb appeal. Served our over-night requirements including breakfast the following morning. Close to all sites wanted to visit and we were offer great suggestions where to eat. A little dated but the price & location made up for that.

The Hotel is decent, nice breakfast area, but the best part of the hotel is that you can walk right across the street to the resort area where it is very beautiful on the grounds and on the beach. It's not close to the center of town, but if you want a more private area it's the best.

Room very bog standard. Perfect just to get your head down and shower, perfect for just one night stay. If you are staying longer, spend that bit more somewhere else. Hotel is directly across from a small part of the beach but a long walk from the shops/bars. We walked down but got a taxi back.

Don't expect anything fancy. After all, it's a Travel Lodge, but you can't beat the location. Located across from the Montage Hotel where there is access to a beautiful public beach. A big plus, check out is 12 noon!

Enjoyed the stay

this travelodge used to be owned independently through best western. we stayed here a few years ago and it was like a little oasis/ cheap boutique hotel. the grounds had TONS of tropical plants and hummingbirds. It looks like its been gutted with only a few palm trees remaining. The rooms had been tastefully decorated and had super soft linen. Now the […] rooms are bare walled and the bedding is not as nice. No Sauna! The description says "sauna" and there used to be a cool wine barrel sauna but it has been removed. Our first night was spent downstairs and we heard the upstairs occupants all morning. To the hotels credit we were moved upstairs and slept better the following night. The pool and hottub are both clean and well kept. The continental breakfast is packaged Sara Lee and very basic. Overall, its still a relatively nice, affordable and fairly conveniently located (2 miles from downtown) hotel. insider tip: be sure to visit the beaches directly across from the hotel. First off - the location is spectacular - best thing about this hotel. It's right across the street from the most gorgeous beach. And if you're not real picky about things being perfect, then you'll be fine. The shower had mineral deposits, there was a terrible sewage smell at certain times when no one had used the restroom, the pool was run-down. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a small shopping plaza right next door with a grocery store, CVS pharmacy, and several restaurants. The beach across the street was easy to access and beautiful! We stayed in the summer so there was a trolley to Laguna beach that stopped right in front of the hotel. It is not a fancy place at all, but it has free parking, and is located a short drive from downtown Laguna Beach. Probably the best rate for a decent room in the area. Nice complimentary breakfast.

Location was perfect for the beaches and it was easy to get to the free trolley for the Pageant of the Masters. Although you will need to bring your own towels to swim- we were not offered one. Continental breakfast was plentiful and filling too. Would stay there again.

Great spot across street from beach, lovely Montage resort public park, easy access to Montage dining. I have reserved it for next year, and plan to get a room for my daughter's birthday. Maybe make it a yearly anniversary celebration for hubby and me. It needed a little gardening--recent hot weather maybe.

I would not recommend this hotel - the sheer curtains in the room had black mold on them. Shower had spiders in it. Great location but rooms were very disappointing.

Very comfortable, spacious room--way more than I needed--and the check-in guy was very pleasant. Traffic noise wasn't too bad, considering the location. The slamming doors, however, were annoying, as were the paper-thin walls, which afforded vicarious audio entertainment. I suggest setting volume limits on TVs and padding the door-frames. Although an older hotel style it is nicely maintained. It is on east side of Pacific Coast Highway but there is nice view of ocean from upstairs patio. Directly across street is 5 star Montage hotel with spectacular public park in front of it with walkways down to gorgeous public beaches. A nice hotel with pleasant and helpful staff and a good breakfast to include toast, bagels, cereal, juice, coffee and cakes. The location is 2-3 miles from the centre but you can catch the free shuttle service which runs every 15 minutes until 11pm.

beautiful area , terrible place to book a room. Ice machine was broke both days there. contstruction worker totaly dusted my car and others with sawdust . I dont watch much tv ,but when i do a decent picture would be nice. whoever owns the place sure isnt putting much back into it....i would never go back

Our stay was okay. I have seen worse. The part I did not like was our view out of our window was of piled up trash bags and junk. That's not cool. The room was clean and the grounds are well kept but come on. trash outside your hotel window? I guess you get what you pay for.

The hotel was conveniently located to some amazing resteraunts and right next door to a cvs and albertsons. The beach was right across the street. You had to go down 76 stairs and than down another hill but the walk wasn't really that bad. It was actually nice to be able to see all the houses and hills. We loved it. The free shuttle out front takes […] you right down town to all the shops and resteraunts and brings you back. It ran every 20 minutes. We never had to get in our car and drive. And the hotel also had a heated pool which was open late and we loved that. The room had its own separate kitchen with stove, microwave and fridge. great place for tourists and vacationers wanting to enjoy Laguna Beach shopping, sights and beaches. Easy to get around with ut se of your car - just use local free trolley. Albertson's market and a few restaurant within walking distance. ... Very close to busy Coast Highway. Good and bad item due to traffic noise.

WE HAVE STAYED HERE BEFORE -HAD A MUCH BETTER ROOM ! THE BATHROOM DOOR IS NOT COMPLETE --IT HAS A BIG GAP MIIDWAY TO FLOOR ---NEED TO MAKE A SMALLER SINK AREA AND PUT IN A WHOLE DOOR ,THEN IT WOULD BE PRIVATE AND SEEM NORMAL !
